Shang chi should be the level of every Marvel movie and show that isn't as big as Endgame or Avengers movies as a whole. It was a fantastic movie with great written choreography and fantastic cgi.
The second half of No Way Home, especially the ending(Personally the most hard hitting MCU movie ending too me) was perfect. And the fact that is STOMPS Homecoming and Far From Home.😊
I think the main problem with phase 4 is the scale, it had about the same amount of good projects as phase 1 or 2 imo, but since there were so many projects total, there were more bad ones and they outweighed the good ones
Personally I would put Shang Chi with Spiderman in peak marvel. The action is the best in all the MCU plus it had a solid story where all or most of the characters were likeable and interesting which is really rare for Marvel nowadays.
I think you make a great point about expectations. Marvel pumps up your excitement to the max with all the marketing and when you walk out of the theater you're just disappointed. They're not meeting expectations anymore. More like misleading.
I honestly think Tom Holland ended up being the darkest live action Spider-Man. yes Tobey inadvertently killed the green goblin by jumping out of the way of his glider, and Andrew Garfield lost Gwen Stacy and said he stopped pulling his punches. but on screen Tom was literally gonna murder the green goblin in cold blood with his glider after he lost aunt may
My guy, no way home had major plotholes because theyre written by children, the other spidermans just volunteered to drastically alter their own realities for the sake of the plot and its not even mentioned the entire time.
All im gonna say is, majority of the Phase 4 Projects have been a letdown imo (other than AAA stuff like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi, Moonknight, Loki, etc.), mainly because of how rushed off they came out. Hopefully in Phase 5/6 they end up taking their time to make them good, so that way we'll be able to enjoy them like we used to back then.
22:25 I couldn’t stand how they treated Dock. They locked him up for over 20 minutes, made fun of his name and his powers, and he became a tentacle joke character… Through him out the window and he came back randomly to defeat electro? Yeah nope
The most amusing thing about this tier list, is that the only movie in Top Tier Marvel, is the one movie Marvel didn't do. Sony is the studio in charge of making the Spiderman movies.
I liked Shang chi up until the very end with that demon dragon thing, only because I liked the Father vs Son thing throughout the movie and would’ve liked it if it was left at that instead of the demon thing taking souls, because I’m tired of the world and New York almost getting destroyed every movie, besides that it’s up there with Black panther 2 and Spider man far from home as one of my favorite phase 4 movies
My problem with Marvel now is that, not only are they making bad movies / tv shows. They're destroying their characters in said bad movies / tv shows. Hulk, She Hulk, Thor are jokes now. Kang has been beaten twice already, I don't care there's infinite versions.
26:43 They put it out cause it introduced captain britian and just a multiverse show. Exploring different stories in the multiverse cause this is the MULTIVERSE ERA
Movies and Specials: 1. Shang-Chi 2. Werewolf By Night 3. Wakanda Forever 4. No Way Home 5. Love and Thunder 6. Black Widow 7. Multiverse Of Madness 8. GOTG - Christmas Special 9. Eternals _ TV Shows: 1. Loki 2. WandaVision 3. Hawkeye 4. What If? 5. Moonknight 6. Falcon And The Winter Soldier 7. Mrs. Marvel 8. She-Hulk
I guess I'm the only one who absolutely adores Hawkeye. The Christmas timing and theme plus the wholesomeness just gives it a rewatxh value atleast every year on Christmas for me.
The only problem I had with love and thunder was how wasted that movie was. I mean you have Christian bale as the villain and only use him for ten minutes and have an interesting storyline with Jane becoming mighty Thor and they just wasted all the potential for an interesting and emotional movie and just turned it into a 7 year old type of comedy
Nahhh Moon Knight being in mid tier is an L take. While not by any means a perfect show, it had some really good things about it. Like the character of Marc Spector for instance. Beautifully portrayed his DID and trauma and made them feel real. It also had that really cool mystery aspect with the first few episodes too, which I enjoyed. I do wish we would’ve seen more of him actually doing Moon Knight shit in the suit tho. Other than that I thought it was pretty good and it definitely didn’t deserve to be called mid
I felt like SpiderMan No Way One was a Great Film with so much that they did & with the Callbacks of Previous Films, Everything with Tobi Maguire, Andrew Garfield & Tom Holland as Peter Parker left me Satisfied. And The Fanservice was Good, The Return of the Villains were Incredible and made me shed tears towards the Ending. It was an Amazing Film that A lot of people look back on and loved it compared to the other Marvel flicks/shows that really divided people when comes to post Endgame Marvel & MCU.
Moon Knight is B bro, has a lot of flaws but the action was great when it was there and the mysterious factor and suspense it had was fire watching week by week
I remember watching Moon Knight during a road trip to Oregon, I liked it at first but they definitely could’ve done so much better, the final fight scene was so rushed with the whole transition between alters because one second Moon Knight was getting his ass handed to him by Harrow and then the next Harrow is suddenly layed out unconscious on the floor🤦🏽♂️ It was okay at best it really wasn’t anything special which sucks because Moon Knight is such a good character in the comics but he was given an underwhelming show
I also hate the "if you got rid of this" argument because then it would literally be a whole different movie so of course it would be different and not as good
I thought phase 4 was okay, definitely could've gone way better. The problem for me is that it never had a goal. If it was me, phase 4 should've teased the Champions, the Young Avengers and a new Avengers team based off the 80s. Then the next phase should remind us of Kang. Overall, this phase was a 6/10 for me, wasn't bad but could've been a whole lot better.
Bro they did recast Black Panther tho, someone else has the mantle now & they introduced T’challa’s son who shares his name, clearly setting up for more there. Ironically most of the “recast” crowd weren’t even longtime fans & don’t know much about T’challa anyway lol
Some may agree and disagree but I don't think it's superhero fatigue that people think it is, because we have the boys and invincible. It's just bad writing in general from both Marvel and DC
That and no way home got a happy ending for all those villains. I wonder if Harry lived or still died because I can see him being new goblin and to help his friend
Aight there’s a lot to unpack here. NWH is absolutely fanservice, but it’s fanservice DONE RIGHT. It gave us everything we asked for, in addition to amazing performances and character closure (especially Andrew Garfield), and the acting is *chefs kiss* (Willem Dafoe was arguably better in this movie than in the Sam Raimi 2002 movie, he irradiated GREEN AIR FORCE ENERGY in this one and I was so happy to see Alfred’s Doc Ock back). It separated Spidey from Iron Man (finally!) and even the fights were great; the apartment fight scene was something we should see in superhuman fights. Not just fancy moves and techniques but they should literally be THROWING EACH OTHER THROUGH WALLS AND FLOORS. The character interactions between Toby, Andrew, and Tom were spectacular as well. CGI characters like Lizard and Sandman were spotty, but it still worked for a movie made in the Covid times, when everybody was in quarantine, and the character redesigns made up for it, honestly- Green Goblin? Electro’s voltage-mask drip? Sold. I could go on and on, but it’s prob the best Phase 4 had to offer. Note: Just so ya know West, the What If? Zombies episode was based off of the Marvel Zombies storyline, an alternate reality where Earth’s Mightiest Heroes became flesh-eating undead. However in this series, there was not a single moment of brightness except the bittersweet ending, and all the zombies still had the memories and personality of their living selves, but were overruled by a hunger that drove them to devour their loved ones- Spider-Man in particular remained tormented by his past actions with MJ and Aunt May (which made the other zombies literally roll their eyes whenever he had a mental breakdown). Hell, ASHLEY WILLIAMS from the EVIL DEAD even appeared in it. It’s so much more gruesome than the show as well; a lot of us read this series in our childhood and honestly traumatized a few of us, and it’s a shame the What If series didn’t capture the dark humor, zombie’s personalities, and gore of the original comics, but it was something Disney would NEVER attempt to take on… which is why Werewolf by Night was a huge surprise to me. I always hoped for a WBN series or movie, but I thought they’d never try it due to it being a violent and lesser-known anti-hero. It’s something you’d think Disney would NEVER do, especially in terms of brutality, and they did it anyway thanks to Michael Giacchino. At this point I’m rambling on, but Zombies had so much potential but ultimately squandered it. The plague explanation and origin was better than the comics, but that’s it for me.
Hot take Isaiah Bradley should've been sames rock and encouraged him to be captain America or to be falcon either choice should've been presented as valid also they should've had Isaiah Bradley revealed steve and bucky met him on multiple missions and steve even helped him get out of the governments grasp
See that would require merit and writing skills and that is something Marvel and Disney are not known for and when they see a black actor or character they only see their race and that is and not the positive messages that they could've had.
I like the idea for the first one but Steve was in the ice when Isaiah joined the army and was probably still in the ice when Isaiah got out of prison if I remember right
@@trevorghalt1881 i the mcu yes but the actual in the comics interacted and even did a few missions together considering Isaiah got his powers before steve from the Tuskegee experiments so if the show wanted they could've went with that
I feel about Doctor Strange 2 the same way you feel about Thor Love and Thunder. I loved the first Doctor Strange, one of my fav marvel movies. The second one WAS A DISASTER to me. The only thing I like about that movie is the camera shots were cool and Wanda was kinda scary. I would put Hawkeye and Moon Knight in B as I actually liked those shows, they felt fresh and fun to me but I get why you don’t like them. Other then that I mostly agree, even though I would put Thor Love and Thunder in just mid, it didn’t really offend me but it wasn’t great to me.
To be fair ant man quantumania is still part of phase 4 they just wanted to cut off phase 4 early cause it was doing so bad but still this was meant to go with phase 4
See the thing is, most of the bad and mid shows most people would agree on. The problem is that even the ones you listed as A-tier and B-tier A LOT of people don't like and would rate lower. For me, No Way Home and Werewolf By Night are the only good things about phase 4. Everything else is mid or lower. At the very least I think those are the only ones that MOST people can agree are good. Everything else is either heavily split on opinions, or generally agreed upon as mid or trash.
Thing about moon knight even as a huge fan of him is I'd say every episode up to 5 was B and 5 was straight up S tier coz they actually tried touching on and being creative with mental health as a touchy subject but then 6 was straight C because it fell into the average marvel nonsense
Ngl shuri felt so underpowered too and Ik in the comics she was not that weak like they hyped up the fact she got the powers just for her to create a situation to handicap naymor bcuz he was way stronger kinda sucked

I think the main problem with phase 4 is the scale, it had about the same amount of good projects as phase 1 or 2 imo, but since there were so many projects total, there were more bad ones and they outweighed the good ones
No, phase 4 had ass writers. And since the universe now has to account for all the others it collapses
@@mryellow6918 you’re saying all of phase 4 is ass? There wasn’t a single good project?
I'm dying with Wes on that No Way Home hill
WE’RE BACK WITH THE TIER LIST BABYYYY
Honestly, What If Had a better Dr Strange Movie than any of the two Dr Strange Movies we currently have.
Tier List of the original Netflix shows? Like Peakdevil, Punisher, etc
Daredevil is fr better than like 95% of the Mcu
Wenwu and Namor were the best understandable and complex villains of this phase. Still sad they haven't introduced Bully McGuire yet.
Shang Chi was 10/10 for me. I loved that they added some eastern styles to it.
They can still turn things around if they really try, but it doesn't seem like they want to
They’re already delaying their slate and firing people
@@ohnobro1424 I'm sure Disney also brought Bob Iger back for similar reasons
@@jwilsonred1913 yeah
Personally I would put Shang Chi with Spiderman in peak marvel. The action is the best in all the MCU plus it had a solid story where all or most of the characters were likeable and interesting which is really rare for Marvel nowadays.
The villain and his best friend weren't likable
I think you make a great point about expectations. Marvel pumps up your excitement to the max with all the marketing and when you walk out of the theater you're just disappointed. They're not meeting expectations anymore. More like misleading.
I already know which spot is saved for She-Hulk😂 Phase 4 is freaking mid as heck
That show is so bad that it made me think Captain Marvel wasn't that bad.
I remember someone on tiktok said "phase 4 ate🥰" 💀💀💀
Saying mid is grading on a curve, this is a C- at best.
Phase 4 is trash
Mid means boring but acceptable, this shit was barely passing high school on a technicality.
Thor brought us ragnarock… then L&T. Never seen “you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain” in a truer sense
The peak of Taika Waititi. Now I understand how he wrote the American inbetweeners
@@mryellow6918 the best movie he did was Ragnarok and the worst he ever did was love & thunder
@@ags_8585 American inbetweeners is still worse
Wes back with the late night tier list upload
I’d prefer to spend money on a Wes TIER LIST than any she hulk, Ms marvel or Thor love and thunder
Yeah nope
Not a bad guy
What worse is sand man saying he just wants to go home and then just fighting spider man for 0 reason
It was so wholesome seing him so excited to see Peter, and wanting to help Holland's spiderman though
I'd personally have Moon Knight in A tier, I love Egyptian mythology. He's also one of the members of the Midnight Sons
There’s a Moon Girl and devil dinosaur show and it’s actually pretty good.
The most amusing thing about this tier list, is that the only movie in Top Tier Marvel, is the one movie Marvel didn't do. Sony is the studio in charge of making the Spiderman movies.
Not only that, Marvel finally fix mcu Spider-Man character
I feel like moonknight needed a movie rather than a series
WBN was indeed an A tier treat. A little short but nice.
A tier of Phase 4
Shang chi
Loki
Spider man: No way home
What if
Agreed.
No Way Home is pretty much the only thing so far to argue against the “Should’ve ended with Endgame” argument
Moon Knight wasn't just mid but it was painfully mid
ur taste is painfully mid my friend, u gotta stop watching mcu or movies in general ur a disgrace
My problem with Marvel now is that, not only are they making bad movies / tv shows. They're destroying their characters in said bad movies / tv shows. Hulk, She Hulk, Thor are jokes now. Kang has been beaten twice already, I don't care there's infinite versions.
Still remember my "multi-media communications" professor made us watch she-hulk for homework
26:43 They put it out cause it introduced captain britian and just a multiverse show. Exploring different stories in the multiverse cause this is the MULTIVERSE ERA
That ain't captain Britain that's an abomination, and not the cool hulk villain.
Movies and Specials:
1. Shang-Chi
2. Werewolf By Night
3. Wakanda Forever
4. No Way Home
5. Love and Thunder
6. Black Widow
7. Multiverse Of Madness
8. GOTG - Christmas Special
9. Eternals

TV Shows:
1. Loki
2. WandaVision
3. Hawkeye
4. What If?
5. Moonknight
6. Falcon And The Winter Soldier
7. Mrs. Marvel
8. She-Hulk
No way you put no way home below shang shi, No way home was the best movie of phase 4
The only thing I can say about Love and Thunder is "Needs more Gorr"
Shang-Chi was top tier whenever Tony Leung was on-screen, and then very mid whenever he wasn't there.
I guess I'm the only one who absolutely adores Hawkeye. The Christmas timing and theme plus the wholesomeness just gives it a rewatxh value atleast every year on Christmas for me.
video starts 3:20
The only problem I had with love and thunder was how wasted that movie was. I mean you have Christian bale as the villain and only use him for ten minutes and have an interesting storyline with Jane becoming mighty Thor and they just wasted all the potential for an interesting and emotional movie and just turned it into a 7 year old type of comedy
Bro the Dr Strange what if episode was the best thing in phase 4
I remember watching Moon Knight during a road trip to Oregon, I liked it at first but they definitely could’ve done so much better, the final fight scene was so rushed with the whole transition between alters because one second Moon Knight was getting his ass handed to him by Harrow and then the next Harrow is suddenly layed out unconscious on the floor🤦🏽♂️ It was okay at best it really wasn’t anything special which sucks because Moon Knight is such a good character in the comics but he was given an underwhelming show
I would say moon knight up until the finale was amazing, the finale just ruined the entire show,Who thought of that Power rangers megazord fight?
Moon Knight started off well and then just fell off majorly. Also a spit in the face to anyone who liked the comics, ruined multiple characters
21:10 Bro I remember you using the same argument when you were ranking infinity war in another marvel tier list
I also hate the "if you got rid of this" argument because then it would literally be a whole different movie so of course it would be different and not as good
Can’t wait to see your reaction and see u lose your absolute shit when u react to the Across The Spider Verse trailer 🔥🔥🔥🐐
Ditto
The only thing I hate about NWH is they removed the elevator scene on blu-rays. There was an elevator scene during cinemas.
Shang chi was awesome🏆 I want more Kung Fu tho in the next one.
Bro they did recast Black Panther tho, someone else has the mantle now & they introduced T’challa’s son who shares his name, clearly setting up for more there. Ironically most of the “recast” crowd weren’t even longtime fans & don’t know much about T’challa anyway lol
For real the only good think Marvel has going right now is Spider Man.
If they introduce the black suit in the next movie watch out.
DCEU before the Gunn Revamp tier list would be fun to see
When Wes placed The Eternals next to Moon Knight I knew mans was trying to trigger folks 😂
Some may agree and disagree but I don't think it's superhero fatigue that people think it is, because we have the boys and invincible.
It's just bad writing in general from both Marvel and DC
Shang chi would have been top tier,if in the pit fight scene,we had shang chi vs iron fist
Ian know Kings Crowning had satin hoodies glooks Wes🤙🏾
yes sirrr
Hey bro could you do a tier of spiderman live action films
maybe ill make an all time spiderman tier when miles morales new movie comes out
@@WesSideLive ok man
Goblin shook Tom Holland’s spiderman to the core
That and no way home got a happy ending for all those villains. I wonder if Harry lived or still died because I can see him being new goblin and to help his friend
3:35 paused that face you make when the fizz from the pop/soda hits you.
Be more consistent we need this content
What If is top tier for me,especially the doctor strange episode
Loki was a show about Loki simping for a female version of himself and she holds his hand and solves all the problems the entire show.
I like the idea for the first one but Steve was in the ice when Isaiah joined the army and was probably still in the ice when Isaiah got out of prison if I remember right
@@trevorghalt1881 i the mcu yes but the actual in the comics interacted and even did a few missions together considering Isaiah got his powers before steve from the Tuskegee experiments so if the show wanted they could've went with that
4:17, i agree. Didn't care that falcon got the shield cause i like the passing of the torch moment but why did they have to make it about race
BVS ultimate editon is a god-tier movie. Stop the cap WES
Cope harder. Jesse Eisenberg is still in it.
Does anyone remember hulk vs wolverine, hulk vs Thor, world war hulk the animated movies??? These were peak marvel content
Saying far from home ruined the Spider-Man trilogy is wild
To be fair ant man quantumania is still part of phase 4 they just wanted to cut off phase 4 early cause it was doing so bad but still this was meant to go with phase 4
It was also supposed to introduce the new threat, and then made it loose to ants
I genuinely don’t understand why anyone hates on Shang Chi and NWH. Say what you want about everything else but those 2 were fantastic.
The villain in shang chi was kinda retarded.
Yeah the MCU had a lot of L in phase 4, I did like spiderman no way home. Great video
My only thing with nwh is the spidermen coulda met differently. Idk, me personally id love it if they met during a fight. Tom gets jumped andrew and toby come in and help em, they win, and after they do the "woah your me, but how? " finger point thing lol. Its doesn't completely ruin the movie for me but it woulda been nice. Still enjoyed it tho
7:05 Gorr actually made sense in the comics. AND FOUGHT 3 THORS!
No Way Home,Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision, Loki, Werewolf by Night and Moon Knight were deadarse the only Phase 4 projects worth watching
