Also you can see that when he represents the man the light is green, when the woman, light switches to red. And he and his wife created a pattern for every song in thid album (Papatou for example). And for this song is a green pink heart which you can see on his jacket and at the end of the video clip.

You guys should definitely read the lyrics first. The translation won't show all the play on words and the humor, but at least you'll get the meaning. Otherwise you lose a whole side of Stromae's genius. He does it all: the lyrics, the music, the prod, the dancing (as you see here), the singing, even down to the clothing line that was created around the iconic album Racine Carree. More than an album, it was a concept fully expressed when you see the visual elements (again Stromae) during the Racine Carree concert. He doesn't does everything himself (people help with choreography, styling, etc), but he is a bit of a control freak and a perfectionist. To the point that he crashed after over two years of touring with Racine Carree. He went to a very dark place and that's what is expressed in L'Enfer. We are all happy he found his way back.

100% agree. For me, there are a minimum of four steps to enjoying Stromae. 1.) read the lyrics in english 2.) read the lyrics in French 3.) listen to the song (ideally w lyrics) 4.) watch video. Wash, rinse, repeat. The more you watch, the more you pick up on. Every time is a treat.

I was born in Spain but all my family is from Ecuador. I am a lover of Stromae's music, he is a complete artist and the most important of this time. I love his versatility and creativity that he puts into his songs. Let's say that the first time I met Stromae it was through Alors on danse but there I didn't know who sang it and in what language they did it but I was crazy about this song anyway. Of course, the first time I saw the name Stromae was because of this song to which you reacted Ta fête, from there I was interested in its visual and musical concept but not as much as I hear it now and when I discovered that Stromae sang the Hit Alors on Danse every time captivates me more. Now I want to focus more on his music since Stromae is one of my aspirations since I want to learn French because this summer I went to Paris since I always wanted to go (well it's the second time I went) I was amazed by the city that I would return to again and this time to know some French (I know that Stromae is Belgian, but the French language is one of the most beautiful languages that I have heard although almost all my life I have been fascinated with French culture such as cinema) and also an inspiration to be able to create music. And I am happy that Stromae in his new album mentions Latin American music as his inspiration, especially Andean music, which is one of my favorite genres and one that my father instilled in me to have a taste for music since I grew up not only with Spanish music but also mostly Latin American. I hope you continue learning about the music of a great man like Stromae. Greetings 👋 💕

Too bad the translation doesn't convey the whole meaning. In french many words have double meaning, for example in this song the word "règles" is used in both meanings intentionally. "Règles" can mean "Rules" or "Women's period", implying both that man complain that women put too many rules in the relationship and at the same time that they're moody when they have their monthly period. Other double meaning are in all his songs but get lost in translation.
