it was especially big in french-speaking countries. Alors on dance played once in 3 songs on the radio in Quebec, Canada for a good 2-3 years after it came out lol the song annoys me because i’ve heard WAY too much😂
His tiny Desk Concert, he did a month ago is only 15 minutes long but pure gold and subtitled. L'enfer, Santé, Alors ... and Mon amour, all brought fully live and to perfection.
"Alors on danse" (pronounced [alɔʁ ɔ̃ dɑ̃s], French for "And so we dance") is a song by Belgian rapper Stromae. It was released in September 2009 in Belgium and in February 2010 in the rest of Europe. The song reached number one in Belgium, Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey, and also reached number one on the European Hot 100 Singles. The song also became a success in North America, as on 1 April 2010, "Alors on danse" was released in Canada, receiving airplay in Québec from NRJ Radio stations throughout the province, as well as CKOI-FM. Four months after the European release, almost one million copies worldwide were sold. The song spent 57 weeks on the German Singles Chart, making it the 40th song to spend one year or longer on that chart and the song with the 31st longest run.[1] According to Francophonie Diffusion, "Alors on danse" was the most-played Francophone single worldwide of 2010.[2] As of July 2014, it was the 83rd best-selling single of the 21st century in France, with 334,000 units sold.
I recommend something live for the next Stromae reaction. Either his amazing tiny desk performance (15 min) for something newer or his Racine Carrée koncert for something older (a 2 hour piece of art). Both with subtitles/cc 😉👌💯
I think I’ve said this on all of your Stromae videos so far, but I’d love to see y’all react to his performance of “L’enfer” at Coachella. I get goosebumps every single time I watch it.
Right on and the live version is even better than the album version. I went to see his concert and my only regret was not being on the floor or right in front of the stage.
@@michelvidori8965 That sounds amazing. I want to see him live so bad. The live videos I’ve seen of his are incredible, but I bet it’s 10x better in person.
You should watch two other videos for this song: one is a video where he’s “making” the song with a comedian and the other is the Tiny Desk concert. You may see more of who he is on those….
Directed by Paul Van Haver & Jérome Guiot. At the beginning of the video, a man (played by Stromae) is sitting in his office. After a hard day's work, he apparently wants to visit his child, but as he arrives at his wife's house he is told to leave. He proceeds to walk down the street, and as he does this a homeless man steals his coat. He then enters a pub. At first he does not appear to enjoy himself, but as he becomes more inebriated he begins to sing on a small stage. After his performance he passes out, and is brought back by an unknown man, possibly his boss, from the pub to his office desk.
Hello *Beers & Bars,* Men, if you want another European icon (French) ...Try *Mylène Farmer* (Pronounce Milan Farmair), as *Stromaë,* but after 40 years, she reinvents herself (30 million albums sold in the World). And also like *Stromaë* but long before him, she has this propensity to write very dark texts but on very festive music. She's the absolute and undisputed queen of the most spectacular concert entrances and exits ever seen. For example, you could start with *"Mylène Farmer - C'est dans l'air - Stade de France Live (Clip Officiel)"* (there are French subtitles in the video, so you can activate the automatic translation towards English in the video window's setting) to understand what I mean (I specify here it's not an entrance or concert exit, I'll save that for later if you're interested). Peace, folks. ☮🤗
Please react Te quiero Stromae."Te Quiero" (English: I Love You) is a 2010 song by Belgian singer Stromae, released on May 10, 2010, as a CD-promo-single and on June 7 it was released as the 5th promo-single for his first album, Cheese. Also Mon Amour Remix Camilia Cabello,Ta fête,Ave cesaria,"Humain à l'eau""Moules frites" Carmen""Mauvaise journée"etc
It is very strange to see two United States homegrown man drinking a beer, from a small brewery not 500 meters from my house. Brouwerij t IJ , is quality beer , but the best is not from the bottle but from their small bar and tap next to the brewery. If you are ever in Amsterdam , hit me up and we have a beer. Enjoyed watching you guys, you miss most of the subtle references and word-plays he makes in most of his songs , but that is great about stromae. A good song is untranslatable, but still gets you.
I'm amazed you said Joost right. My brother's name is Joost and when he went for an internship in New Zealand they often called him Jewst. So he would say: No, it's Joost, like toast.
It's a old song... But ravie d'entendre que vous vous y intéressez... A catchy song is so "parle à ta tête" d Indila and for the rap heart "l'odeur de l'essence " de Orelsan. Big UP to Quimperlé in France. 😘
Please tell me you have seen the French comedian skit with Stromae? If not I think it needs its own reaction, you may pee your pants and have another understanding of the lyrics ( there are some fire subtitles) Guys name is Jamel debbouze And yes it’s Stromae in the vid too 😊

In Brazil too
yup it was everywhere, and even Kanye did some remix of it or something
it was especially big in french-speaking countries. Alors on dance played once in 3 songs on the radio in Quebec, Canada for a good 2-3 years after it came out lol the song annoys me because i’ve heard WAY too much😂
this was top three in most of Europe and in 14 countries nr 1. only UK and Ireland it was outside the top 20
Its like a staple in european music. I HAVE IT ON MY OLD DS

Stromae is one of the most creative artists of our time.
Stromae is the best artist of my country, BELGIUM !!!!

That's awesome!!
I've been a fan since 2009 and I'm American. I'm just surprised most Americans haven't heard of this genius
Well done pausing the video at every single good moment, way to kill the momentum 🙌🏻
I recommend something live for the next Stromae reaction.

Just watch the video and enjoy the music jesus
That was THE BANGER, great memories
Kanye West did a remix of this in the US shortly after this song blew up in Europe.
Man dude on the left just loves to explain the obvious lyrics and to pause every time the beat is about to drop or to pick up lmao..
