4 ways How to open Marvel Legends Retro / Vintage wave packaging without damage (4th is my favorite)

- Ah, the Marvel Legends Retro wave (or Vintage wave) with that awesome cardback. I know some of you maul it open as you have no concern over the packaging lol, but for some who prefer to keep it intact, here are are 4 common ways to open them.
Check out the fourth one as that is how I open my Marvel Legends Retro Wave figure (to admire the packaging a few more days or weeks before eventually throwing them away due to space constraints LOL).
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN USING SHARP TOOLS (pen knife, xacto knife, scissors etc)

Yup, I've been using the 1st technique since the 90's Spawn figures. Great tips for new collectors. 👍😁
Nice! But I always thought using the second method (flap at the bottom) would be a little better because the cut on the clamshell would be less obvious since its at the bottom.. anyways thanks for watching! 😁

Just been using your Method 4 to open up my Spider-Man retro waves, worked a treat! Although I am keeping Spidey in the box and will hang it on my wall. He seems too valuable now to open. XD

Yeah, I think it's a good way because we can glue the cardback back together if we wanna keep it back in the packaging for some reason 😂

I just got the animated venom from hasbro pulse & im debating whether to take it out the box or not because i don't wanna rip the box. I take all my figures out, but this one looks so cool attached to the cardback!!!

I don't usually save the clam shell for these, but I might start now. I love the look of em, and characters that I have multiples of I just keep em in clam. Also...I'm waiting for my Alpha Flight pack that I asked about the other day. Lol. Jk. Have a good one

i do method 1
If creating a flap, why not use method 2 and cut the bottom instead, so the cut is less obvious

Fuck seeing the packaging being cut open is triggering my ocd. I know it's a lot better than just tearing it open but tampering it makes it feel less mint. I really wished they had designed the packaging so you didn't have to cut it.
Yeah no way through the retro packaging except cutting or tearing it.. so slicing the cardback is the best we can do
