- The Karen Read murder trial ended Monday after a "starkly divided" hung jury failed to reach a verdict, forcing Judge Beverly Cannone to declare a mistrial.
I knew it would be a hung jury. This Judge was awful. She was pushing for a guilty verdict, it was obvious

They can retry all they like. They can't make that reasonable doubt disappear. Next trial will result in the same.

Well the good news is that they probably will be, now, because by the time a jury is seated, everyone will be privy.
I feel so bad for his mother. To lose a loved one and then have the state troopers bungle the investigation so badly and be so personally conflicted that the truth will never be settled.
I remain, from day one, convinced it was just three people at the core of this: Starting with the "man" who never came out of the house; a woman who, when calling in the 911, purposefully gave the wrong address so as to not implicate her brother-in-law...and didn't bang on the door for help; And a state trooper who had cleaned up the messes of these people before.

What kind of deeply held conviction is id rather live with potentially putting innocent person in jail for life than have a potentially guilty person go free. I geniuenly dont understand people who think that. That really shocks me how much faith people have in LE. These are the people who become the concentration camp guards who just follow orders as they butcher and are all innocent with their conviction.
Even if the jurors didn't believe she was framed which is shocking, there was a Tsunami of reasonable doubt that I just won't understand how the jurors missed.

Why retry it it should be dismissed. There is no real evidence. If they do it again Cameron Reed will definitely go free. Just waste taxpayers dollars because she is innocent.

@@RatTerminator yes! of course they did, they are almost obligated too. However it will be almost impossible to find someone who hasn't heard of Karen Read and a re trial would give the defense extra time for discovery. There are so many complications it may not be worth it.
