    The jury is divided, just like the public. No surprise there. This doesn't mean she is innocent though. A mistrial is no reason to celebrate.

      Same this case was very confusing and I’m not even sure if Karen Reed did it. It doesn’t surprise me that this jury was so unsure that it went to a mistrial.

    • @Ipetam
      @Ipetam 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @Toccata. Right! I think the jury made the right decision. Even if she's actually guilty, I don't think there's enough proof beyond a reasonable doubt. It's a confusing case with a lot of shady characters.
      Either his friends did it, or she did. I don't think we'll ever know the truth.

      I don't think it's surprising at all in fact two days ago I said you watched was going to be a mistrial and if you watch this case which I did if you can't say there's doubt .... Sorry you got to close mind 2 independent experts said no prosecutor is wrong the defensive doctor said no this is not an accident there would have been bruising on the body no bruising plus the dog scratch marks didn't come from an accident inside the house there was a dog nobody ever investigated inside the house at all if you think anything but not guilty then you're not paying attention to the evidence

    • @dvnsdad1

      Let's look at the fact of the two troopers the accident investigator who was a moron and the lead investigator who was clearly biased against Karen he literally wished Karen was dead.. I'm sorry lead investigator thinks the person he's investigating should be dead that is doubt it's not fair investigative work

Did the Prosecution team do bad or was the Jury filled with questionable Jurors? And whether you think Karen is Guilty or Innocent. How can she get a fair trial after all the publicity this one got? How would they find a Jury that doesn't know about this case? I'm sorry this Jury did not do their jobs. She either is Innocent or Guilty. A mistrial just shows you that the Jury or Prosecution team did a terrible job.

      There would be no way to have another fair trial. Everyone is that area and all around would know. All the evidence will or lack of will be out there. They know each other's cases now. If one select group of ppl can't come to a decision why keep going to do it again. Obviously there wasn't huge evidence either way. But the next trial might get someone who just doesn't wanna argue and maybe give in .which won't be fair . No way should this be tried again

      Not true. The mistrial shows that the jury indeed did their job and that the prosecution did not prove their case. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. They have to prove their version of events within a shadow of a doubt. The jury apparently still had doubts. Would you rather a jury convict an innocent person or release a guilty person just to avoid a mistrial? Your comment made absolutely no sense.

      I think the jury saw what a lot of people the public saw which was a police detective unit that was highly biased and looking for a patsy to conveniently frame the murder on. Karen was the perfect Patsy to frame the murder on since she just dropped her boyfriend off at the party

And she she claimed to " love him. " Even if Karen didn't do this the victim is the one that matters here. Rhis isn't about her. This is about justice for the victim and his family.

    How would it have even been possible to fill out the jury verdict slip if Counts 1 and 3 were not guilty, and then they left Count 2 blank - according to Judge Bev, that would have meant all three counts were not guilty. They weren't decided on Count 2 so that barred them from filling out the slip at all.
