There's always something so refreshing about 80's synth-pop.That chorus is a real ear-worm. "It's all too late ..." ... Us 80's kids can relate ... 😢
Same time frame as early Depeche Mode-this & that were played in clubs, where we all imitated the dance moves of Depeche Mode’s lead singer. Good times
Leave it to BAD for reacting to a much overlooked song by Tears for Fears. This was their first single and to this day my favorite by them because of the xylophone! There were several new wave bands that implemented the xylophone in their songs: Echo and the Bunnymen "Never Stop", Haircut 100 "Love Plus One" to name a few. Keep em coming Brad! ❤
Pretty sure the xylophone sound is from a Jupiter 8 from the magic hands of Ian Stanley. But you are right - it is time for some serious Echo tunes on this channel 💕
Good one, my favorite one from these guys!
one thing to know about the late 70s & early 80s... kids were looking at an uncertain future... economies were junk... inflation & interest rates were both running hot... the politicians in Europe and USA were pushing up against the Eastern Bloc... a lot of kids were feeling hopeless and some of these bands - in there own enigmatic way - offered a kind of solace and possibility... peace.
I could have sworn yall have reacted to this one before?! I guess not? On the other channel. Not yet uploaded?
New wave/synth pop band with many great hits.
No deep meaning here, just a very catchy tune with an cool vibe! Roland Orzabal, who wrote the sung sung by bassist Curt Smith, said "It's not really about much. It's just one of those cheap pop lyrics." They actually released 4 versions of different lengths, one of which has alternate lyrics.
Not a xylophone, it's a marimba
I love that you are not trying to decipher the lyrics Brad. - Esp with TFF who always write from a psychological or esoteric perspective. Very astute of you :-D It IS about the Vibe.
