*Additional critique not discussed in the video, but still important to bring up.* 1. Elizabeth as a invulnerable sidekick Yeah, I get that some people think it's a cop out that Elizabeth is basically invincible in combat. She doesn't get hurt, she doesn't need direction, and the enemies don't even go after her. Sure, that's fair. But really, it didn't bother me. In fact, I liked how she tosses you ammo and salt from time to time, and that you can ask her to open rifts (thought truth be told this is a rather thin game play mechanic that could have been fleshed out way more). This adds a nice some cool comradery (is this a word?) to the duo. As we all know, "escort" quests, characters and missions have notoriously been terrible across the board as it's essentially babysit work, especially when you have to look after their health pools, guide them to objectives, match their run speeds, and what not. So pick your poison - because there's always give and take. 2. No final boss fight Guilty, kind of. Songbird is the natural and likely "boss" that they could have used, however anyone who played the game to the end knows that it's quite poetic the way his story ends and forcing him (or her, who knows?) into that role would have changed the dynamic between the characters and Songbird. This could have jeopardized his presence and overall purpose in the game to an extent, as well as lower the amount of empathy players garnered from his final moments. However, the final fight was nothing spectacular and Songbirds use in it was completely throwaway. Personally, I think the final battle is fine, nothing great, but it didn't wreck anything for me. 3. Gameplay that doesn't pay homage to Bioshock 1 or 2 As I state in the video, curb your expectations. This isn't Bioshock 3. Perhaps Bioshock Infinite is burdened by calling itself a Bioshock game, because the gameplay is quite different. Yeah, it's more run and gun, but it's not the Call of Duty Bioshock people say it is. Play 1999 mode, and see what i mean. The gameplay is different, but it still feels like Bioshock to me in spirit. There's so many other great things that are obviously influenced by the original games and that definitely respect the property, even if the gameplay isn't one of the best examples of it. So, just look at Infinite as it's own game and perhaps you'll be able to see it for what it is. Thanks for watching :D
Your point about Elizabeth is kinda like the other side of the coin to Sheva from RE5, where she does get attacked and you need to manage her inventory, give her ammo and keep her alive, which is one the main complaints from the RE comunity.
I really liked Bioshock Infinite. Elizabeth's design and AI were supposed to mimic an animated Disney Princess, and they achieved this, IMO. The cloud city of Columbia was a nice, bright break from the bleak underwater worlds of Rapture. The story itself wasn't amazing, but the revelation at the end is still one of my top gaming moments. The DLC does a lot to answer further questions people may have about that ending, too. The ironic thing Infinite predicted since it's launch seven years ago is how Comstock, and his religious & racist followers resemble a certain public figure who tried to turn the current U.S. into Columbia, but who is failing miserably after only four years, thankfully. Art often imitates and predicts life.
@@indiezona4797 Absolutely. The transformation from such a bright, colorful happy world when you 1st arrive until the dark disturbing world it ends on is spectacular.

Also I can mention that I played great games like The Last of Us/Uncharted 4/God of War/The Witcher 3 which are better games quality wise but I still like Infinite the most :/ I finished The Last of Us 2 and I think it's not great but not terrible either
BioShock infinite was the game that made me distrust "professional" reviewers. A giant pile of shit of a game, mediocre at its absolute best. Beloved for female companion which doesn't exist to enemy AI and who's behavior and character makes no sense in context. tortured, experimented and isolated her whole life.... Elizabeth is a singing dancing charming Disney princess.

@@zelestial1681 I dont know what woman they based her off of but she is fucking stunning. Voice, Looks, personality and just the way she is, is all just beautiful they somehow made me insanely protective of her despite her being able to help you in battles with her rifts and gameplay wise being invincible. She literally had me feeling these paternal instincts i never thought i would ever feel (as i dont want kids) and as a man they managed to make me feel invested in this Father/Daughter relationship so thoroughly that i couldnt help but shout out loud sometimes when they took her from me or be completely heartbroken when she is crying especially if im the cause of it.
I can definitely say I'm enjoying the series. Only thing that's irritating me about Bioshock Infinite is that it doesn't give you a sense of direction alot of times. EDIT: I should say besides the one irritating issue I am experiencing I enjoy the game.
I was obsessed with this game in high school when it first game out. A few months ago when this was free on PSN I downloaded it and started playing and thought I'd only play it for a few hours for the nostalgia. I played the whole game in one sitting and started another playthrough in 1999 mode the next day. I love this game so much even 7 years later. Definitely an all time favorite.
If Bioshock were released today, it would cause controversy with how it criticizes capitalism, conservatism, and nationalism. And nowaydays, you're not allowed to do that because you'll get called a "Evil SJW".
@@mikeykitty1235 it's already called an SJW game by right wingers. Left wingers dislike that it doesn't focus on criticising capitalism and right wingers ENOUGH, and the fact that you fight the rebels instead of siding with them explicitly. Bioshock focuses on telling its own story instead of getting hung up on current day political discourse, and I think it's one of the last in an era of games that felt free to do so.
@@groovysnake6664 I'm more of a right-wing sympathizer and I LOVE Bioshock Infinite! I have no problem of it criticizing capitalism or conservatism because it does the same for liberalism and socialism. I very much agree that it should deliberately tell its own story rather than get hung up on political discourse. It ultimately does not take sides and lets you think for yourself how you want to interpret it. That is Art.
All that stuff about choices, the original Elizabeth, the game's original true thesis about oppressors and the oppressed - the far-left and far-right having no true differences. All this shit was abandoned so they can tell a story about multiverses.... It's just awful. Awful game
As far as I know It was kind of a mistake. Comstock sent fink to kill them but he ultimately triggered a mechanism through which luteces were scattered to almost all timelines. Played it years ago but I can remember it was mentioned in one of the voxophones
Just replayed Infinite for the first time since release. Definitely still think it's a masterpiece. Booker and Elizabeth's chemistry, presented through writing and top notch acting, is of the utmost quality for video games. The ending is one of my favorite in video game history. Gameplay is decent as linear fps games go, with fun gunplay and good AI, and the integration of the vigors is especially solid. Only section I don't like is the lady Comstock portion; feels drawn out and little like the devs were playing for time to figure out how to deliver a couple of key plot points without diverging from the tonal developments (darker, more desperate and uncomfortable atmosphere) they were going for.
my god dude the not to mention the voice acting. When elizabeth was in pain you felt it in her voice and you could not help feel god awful when she cried or was sad. She brings out that paternal father instinct in all of us even if you dont have kids yet or are one yourself, thats how you KNOW shes a amazing character
Very well put. I adore the game but it's not without it's flaws and that Lady Comstock section is definitely where the game drags on. Nothing "horrible" but definitely it's weakest segment.
Just finished playing this for the 2nd time since 2013. Still hands down the most beautiful game I've ever played. The plot, graphics, voice acting, art style and of course the music still blows me away in 2021. It was the last great game I've played. Nothing will ever compare. The first hour of the game is like stepping foot on a new world. Truly a magnificent piece of art. God bless Levine.
"Video Contains no Story Spoilers" - I mean, it has been 7 Years. I hope not including Spoilers hasn't affected the Quality of this Video, Your content is always top quality.
Can't bring myself to replay burial at sea, I like how it ended, it made sense, concluded the game and gave the whole story of Infinite a purpose. All the Bioshock games are on my list of all-time favorites, I would be glad to see something else from 2k but not a sequel to Bioshock, that story has ended, we saw the doors and what's behind all the doors.
@@MortisCorpus tbh i just thought it was too hard to get the blue ribbons. Very early on they kick it to 1999 mode difficulty and then want you to do all this crazy stuff like blowing up mid air rockets. And no in game checklist to know which waves you already got the ribbon for. Would have gotten every achievement if not for blue ribbons
I remember when a played this game, every time Elizabeth throw me something like a weapon or a coin, I raised my hand a pretend to grab it just like Booker, then grab again the controller and keep playing. That's how engaging was the combat for me. I love this game.
@Dean M having never played fortnite I'd probably say fortnite as a much more complicated combat system than infinite does. Infinite is extremely simple.
Also Elizabeth doesn't actually pick up she simply randomly spawns items. Elizabeth isn't a real companion. She never really interacts with the world. There's no advanced AI to Elizabeth's actions.
Definitely longer than the first 30 minutes. He lays out the general themes and setup for the entire second half of the game, that's still spoilers even if he isn't directly discussing events.
Spoils pretty much the entire story. Obviously not the small details but generally just gives everything. Think this dude doesn’t know what spoil means
The way when every time you die and Elizabeth screams above your head like (Booker don't die) and helps you get up again is just so beautiful and her face when she's helping you get up. damn man. it's pretty a genius way for a game to reload every time you die!
Infinite on 1999 mode is an absolute favorite for me. use of vigors to debuff enemies and correct weapons are an absolute must, and often picking up different weapons instead of sticking to the same pair is pretty necessary. best part was the way that the difficulty encouraged nearly over-scavenging and exploration, which in turn allows the player to see more of the story/environment through the voxaphones and Cinema boxes on lower difficulties this isn’t as necessary, as you can heal and tank damage easy enough
This game series is the only one That has ever made me feel so many incredible emotions I have been suppressing or I never felt before. It is Truly an amazing game
maybe just me but on 1999 mode , I found that you don't really ever need to buy supplies, they're pretty generous , plus the suit pieces can be switched around for different scenarios, I had plenty to upgrade most of the guns , great review, agreed with everything you had to say and honestly a really enjoyable watch
You cannot die. Even worse than Bioshock 1. If you fall off a bottomless cliff the game just says "No no baby, no no" and gently sets you back where you were. No quickloading or anything, it just sets you back. If you die in a hail of gunfire, Elizabeth apparently DRAGS YOU HOLE FILLED CORPSE AWAY AND STICKS A NEEDLE IN YOU AND NOW YOU'RE OK. Not only that, she throws shit at you. Guy at was at 1% health, she goes "CATCH THIS" and he goes up to 100%. Game goes "THIS IS A GOOD SNIPING AREA" and she throws a sniper rifle at the PC replacing his primary weapon with it.
I think this is one of those games that truly deserve a remake/reimagine . Fleshing out the mechanics, improving graphics and animations, as well as making a longer more cohesive story that fully explores the city of Columbia and its many interesting but underdeveloped themes.
I love the direction you’re taking your videos! From the cooking show, to talking about things you truly enjoy, I think you’ve hit a perfect mark. Before your long break, it seemed like you were unsure of what you wanted to do! Your videos now are of really good quality! Keep it up 👍
I never had an issue with ammo until the last act of the game because they intentionally want you to struggle so there is only I think one vending machine for the entire last act. I always had to pick up whatever I could find. Luckily you have song birds help
I thought the theme of upper vs lower class is actually handled fairly well throughout the game, you are right that in the first half of the game you are constantly reminded that this system is messed up and evil but at the same time you hear these little rumors and whispers of a resistance that is mounting, for a time you are apart of it in this amazing fight on an airship with the resistance screaming your name, then things take a turn when you find out that you being there complicates this grand story that was built around you kind of giving you a clue between yourself and Comstock. Then the sudden horror when you realize that the system will never change now the oppressed have become the oppressors and are in fact way more brutal.
Its not entirely impossible. Recently someone remade the first half life. And someone is remaking the first fallout with modern graphics. Im sure someone out there is willing to remake the BioShock games some day.
Its a shame you didnt mention the DLC. Burial at sea goes back to rapture and the slower based combat and clash in the clouds is extremely fun with the not stop combat.
I remember the first time coming up to the lighthouse in the rowboat. It was so magical shooting up through the clouds and seeing where shit was gonna go down. I love his game so much. I really appreciated the big difference in setting to the first 2 games while still feeling like good old Bioshock to me at the same time.
This was one of the first AAA games I played besides call of duty. I was about 14 or 15 when I played it. Man I was thinking about that ending for about a week or two. Had a really profound effect on me and how I view games as a whole. Not saying it was the best game ever, but it has an incredibly special place in my heart.
My only real criticism is how poorly the Vox Populi was handled. The fact that the game seriously tries to claim that those performing a slave revolt are just as bad as slavers themselves is actually kind of, well, horrible. I appreciate how they were clearly trying to give a message about the dangers of vengeance, extremism, and the cyclical nature of revolutions birthing new tyranny, it just wasn’t handled nearly as well as it could have. Otherwise, though, I absolutely love the game still. Elizabeth is one of the best video game characters ever, and I love the whole story being a mind-bending dark fairy tale across multiple realities before eventually embracing pure dream logic at the very end.
Infinite is definitely not really a Bioshock game, but I loved it. Story has some problems but it's beautiful, talks about other sides of society, had a great time in my playthrough
I *adored* this game when I played it years ago. I played and loved the original Bioshock when it released and feel like I’m in the minority…that I prefer Infinite. I think artistically they are on the same level, and Infinite actually has more problems with its narrative, but on an emotional level? Infinite really got me. Stumbled on this video and now I’m going to replay it. 7 years later :)
If there's one thing I didn't like about Infinite was it's gameplay. It was a monotonous wave-shooters with intervals of walking around. I did like the rest of Infinite, though.
4:45 Wrong. They presented this in the perfect way because video games (and all other story driven media) should never tell you how to think or what you should think about a certain subject. They should only present you with it and allow you to make up your own mind as to why something is wrong or immoral.
He’s not saying it should tell you what to think, just to show what a society like that would actually be like, as in the game as it is there isn’t any really poignant or impactful showcases if what a nationalist society would be like
I just finished Bioshock Infinite a week ago. This game is a prequel to the original Bioshock. The DLC connects them together. It's pretty much the plot of Avengers End Game where... spoiler Elizabeth can see all the futures and knows that going to rapture is the only way Fontaine and Ryan can be stopped. She dies giving Atlas the code... "Would you kindly." Knowing that the Original Bioshock protagonist is the only one who can stop them.
Totally hated that ending for the sole reason that she died to service the first game and less interesting characters. I kind of pretend that didn't happen.
@@JovBoydspoilers from here on out.... she died only in that iteration of reality, but exists in the others. She did die from the big daddy attack in that world and is the reason why she couldn't see the other alternate realities. Which is also the reality in which Comstock was alive as Booker and Elisabeth was living in Paris. Unfortunately I'm on the side where I wanted Booker to get rid of Andrew and Fontaine, but then they would have to make another bioshock with a different story and it wouldn't go complete circle.
Bioshock Infinite has to be one of the most, if not the most beautiful and original game I've seen, aesthetically and story-wise. There's not a single clichéd part of the game, and it keeps you intrigued till the end with plot twists. I remember when I played it, I stayed up to 5AM to finish it, since the plot was so interesting, I couldn't go to sleep in the middle of it.
Wholeheartedly disagree that this game is anywhere close to being a masterpiece. On almost every aspect, Infinite is a step down from its predecessors and adds nothing to the series worth holding onto. From a gameplay standpoint, Infinite is a lazy and mediocre shooter at best. It removes all of the intricacies of Bioshock one and Bioshock 2 such as the weapon wheel, meaningful weapon upgrades, ammo types (that could fundamentally changed how a weapon was used), interesting plasmids and their combos, as well as introducing a story that doesn't make sense and breaks its own rules. Infinite is a dumbed down version of the previous games, eliminating large aspects of player choice in favor of a simpler and more "streamlined" experience. No longer does the player have the ability to set elaborate traps, mix weapons and use ammo types most effectively, and Infinite basically removed as well what was once a staple of the franchise: exploration. Bioshock 1 and 2 had large swathes of content and areas that were totally optional, but could be explored for upgrades, lore, and resources. These aspects are in Infinite to such a minor degree they might as well have been forgotten. Any thematic aspect of the story is rendered meaningless because the story tries to be deep without being consistent. Near the end, objects are literally conjured up from the aether so that the plot can progress with no explanation or sense. Elizabeth's solution and the fate of the protagonist don't make any sense either if you follow the game's rules and understanding about infinite universes. The timeline presented to the player literally does not make sense. The themes about racism, nationalism, and libertarianism are squandered since they are reduced to a "lowest common denominator" level of display to the point of wondering why they bothered. The themes about racism and fundamental reliance on religion being bad are so bluntly delivered that nothing would have been lost if the game had simply opened with text saying "Racism is bad, guys." And this isn't even going into the issues surrounding how incredible stupid the decisions made by characters are, such as Booker not covering up his hand at the beginning. That is, by the way, not a nitpick since it has incredible impact on the plot. YOU CANNOT HAVE INFINITE UNIVERSES AND ALSO GIVE PLAYERS A DEFINITIVE ENDING. In any scenario for a story in which you present infinite possibilities that exist in an infinite number of parallel universes, anything that is possible is not only inevitable, but it occurs and has occurred an infinite amount of times. Elizabeth, despite being trapped in a tower without human interaction since her birth, is portrayed as outgoing and charismatic and jovial, and her abilities in combat are wasted potential. The combat itself is a huge step down in terms of enemy types and strategies that can be utilized. In terms of difficulty, enemies simply become bullet sponges. Upon death, Infinite has a worse death mechanic than the Vita Chambers from Bioshock, in that enemies will regenerate their health when the player dies, but the ammo spent remains lost...making it possible to be "soft locked". Infinite has a neat aesthetic and the environments can at times be nifty, but they simply pale in comparison to Rapture and how that city was explored. I'm already rambling a fair bit and there's far more that could be said in addition, but Bioshock Infinite is an extremely disappointing step down from previous installments. Bioshock and Bioshock 2 were both far better in terms of gameplay and story, since any story (even mediocre ones) are superior to one that literally does not make sense. Bioshock 1 and 2 are rich in mechanics and content, while Infinite is a poor attempt at trying to be greater while undeniably containing far less of substance. The series has suffered for this entry. I would HIGHLY recommend that people watch Matthewmatosis' video "Bioshock Infinite Critique" to see this explored more in depth.
My only beef with the game is that the alternate dimension stuff was used as a crappy shortcut for any obstacle. Elizabeth had to keep opening new tears until she found one where Comstock was apparently an idiot who just left his arsenal lying around unlocked, and later letting the shabby band of rebels take over most of his city. It would have been more impactful if they had faced off against the most competent obstacles, not the least competent, if you see what I'm saying.
@@KapitanPazur1 Generic? The ordinary Lighthouse which suddenly takes us into a religious "heaven" ist orchestrated perfectly. I love how the clouds themselves answer the call from the tower. It invokes the "voice of god" feeling that the city claims as it's own perfectly in the very first minutes. It feels literally like you get ripped from the mortal and normal realm to enter the gates to paradise...only it's as rotten as the world below. Glad to see there's still love for this game . I've always understood much of the criticism for it, but I've never agreed that it's a "waste". To me it's one of the last great single player story driven games.
I personally don't think people should expect movie level stories in videogames. For a videogame gameplay is the most important factor. Like right now I am playing metal gear solid phantom pain about 140 hours in. The story does not make sense but it's the gameplay that makes this game great and it's one of my all time favorite
@@osamabashir5646I would usually agree, but this game invites it's high expectation on story. Its gameplay mechanics are so mediocre & repetitive for its budget to not focus so much on story. I just finished the game. Your review is spot on. The game did so many things well it outweighs any particular flaw. It’s a great game. I think the look and pacing of the story alone are great. Even if the stores kind of drops off in the end. The dynamic between the two characters was a lot of fun. I wish they had done some things differently but who can complain? This is such a good example of what a game can bring it doesn’t matter
" Bioshock infinite is not a sequel or prequel to bioshock 1 or 2" No, offense but that doesn't really make sense since infinites dlc which have you down in rapture and its ending sets up a loop with bioshock 1. Which you know would kinda explain why bioshock infinite is call bioshock INFINITE. Like how the scientists in infinite and 1 were communicating to create vigors and plasmids. Also infinites dlc also shows how one of the Big daddies bonded with one of the sisters. Which is also explains how Elizabeth bonded with Big bird man.

While I enjoyed Infinite( at the time of release) the legacy of the game has ultimately left a sour taste. The original Bioshock Infinite, the game that Irrational Games showed off at every E3 year after year was a game we never got. Columbia was originally a pretty large place to explore, with multiple ways out of combat scenarios and various choices to make. There was more in depth RPG aspects to the character builds, similar to the Tonics from Bioshock 1, that would have much more effect on the player than the very basic Gear system they used instead. Elizabeth was originally a very active ally, opening various tears that you were able to combine with your Vigors. It is important to remember that 2K at some point stepped in and brought in some Call of Duty manager to streamline the project, because Irrational Game's creation had become too ambitious and expensive, and did not seem like it would run on console. Had this come out now it would have been as chastised as Cyberpunk 2077 has been due to how misleading some of the original marketing was. The political aspects of the game are very questionable, especially now (though I can understand those being products of their time) and feel extremely hamfisted. The game takes an absurdly centrist approach to its politics. While the Vox Populi do some awful things, it is completely understandable that they have a revolt against the Founders and citizens of Columbia that treat them like subhumans.
*Additional critique not discussed in the video, but still important to bring up.*
1. Elizabeth as a invulnerable sidekick
Yeah, I get that some people think it's a cop out that Elizabeth is basically invincible in combat.
2. No final boss fight
Guilty, kind of.
3. Gameplay that doesn't pay homage to Bioshock 1 or 2
As I state in the video, curb your expectations.
The ending still makes no sense to me 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

I doubt it, in fact if it came out today it would be much more hamfisted with it's politics and probably censored as well

@@mikeykitty1235 it's already called an SJW game by right wingers. If you pick up on it, the Luteces created this infinite loop as a way to spend time with each other. Its almost nice in an insane kind of way.

Infinite on 1999 mode is an absolute favorite for me. use of vigors to debuff enemies and correct weapons are an absolute must, and often picking up different weapons instead of sticking to the same pair is pretty necessary.

I think this is one of those games that truly deserve a remake/reimagine . Fleshing out the mechanics, improving graphics and animations, as well as making a longer more cohesive story that fully explores the city of Columbia and its many interesting but underdeveloped themes.

People hating on this game didn't see the deeper meaning. This game is a fucking psychological horror game when you pay attention
"My aim is true for my eye is the prophets" will forever echo around in my head
"Bring us the girl, and wipe away the debt."

Always gonna be the number 1.
I get chills everytime I play the opening sequence, no other game can do that even after so many playthroughs.
Im happy to put on my "fun cap"

Elizabeth can see all the futures and knows that going to rapture is the only way Fontaine and Ryan can be stopped.

Ahh, a refreshing point of view; whereas every modern take on Infinite is it complaining that it isn't Bioshock 3.
Just finished this game yesterday. Loved it !

My favourite game, they should remaster or create another one. This game I first played in an airport and I actually enjoyed it so much and didn't want to leave.
Such a good game especially in the visual departement.
Came across this video for the first time today...... 8 years to the day now since infinite came out. Can't believe its been that long since I played through Bookers story. How time flies.
I will play Bioshock 1 or 2 again, but never play Infinite again. Once was enough, and even then I was pushing through it since it was not nearly as engaging as the first two.
I know how you feel that's why I buy BioShock 2 definitive edition and we'll buy BioShock definitive edition and skip out on BioShock infinite cuz once you play you know what to do when it's kind of boring there's no moral choices at all every choice in BioShock infinite is worthless
When I first beat BioShock infinite I had to look up a video cuz I did not understand the ending the weapon customization with the upgrades as boring as hell doesn't even change the gun and some of knock-off plasma we're terrible compared to like where the hell is my telekinesis the best one
agreed
moscow vicent I understand the ending being confusing to some but I don’t think that’s really a flaw of the game. That’s more on the player. I understood the story just fine all the way through and thought the themes were great. And I would say the story is definitely better than Bioshock 2
Played Infinite around 30 odd times and BioShock 1 maybe 3/4 times and never finished BioShock 2. “Not engaging” ridiculous comment.
Only recently heard of Downward Thrust through EFAP.
I can see why they like you so much!
A chill dude who has improved over time and always working to make better videos!
I like that you addressed the nature of Infinite as an indirect sequel and its many paradoxes, this is an excellent analysis!
After all these years, i still have a crush on elizabeth lmao
yooooo i have so rarely seen good critique of social commentary in video games. loved this video. thanks.
I love this game, but it took me a couple playthroughs to understand the story still play it to this day tho
i remmember people throwing shit at this game because it came out at the same time as TLoU.
Α slave watches this video. A man subscribes.
A SLAVE WATCHES THIS VIDEO! .... A MAN SUBSCRIBES!!!
the burial at sea episodes were forsure a prequel to the original bioshock.
The game that spawned countless SFM porn videos.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Luteces in more detail. You did briefly mention them at the start though
Imo still the greatest game ever made
Just finished this game for the first time yesterday, 120% agree with everything you said in this video.
It was too CODified and last nail to this games coffin was that Dishonored 1 came like 3 months before and was better in every way.
And if you think about it Dishonored could take place in Bioshock’s multiverse world too
I enjoyed the game, it was my first bioshock however. It is sad that the original concepts got scrapped I think if the game could be revisted or remade with the original concepts in mind it maybe something worth looking into.
The combat was stressing me out and I didn't enjoy it, but the ending was great
Yikes
it gets SUPER easy when you realize Plasmids just act like "Stun" mechanics, then it's just you cheesing everything
@@princeofdarkness4711 But it felt tiresome. Like the game was missing something to lighten the mood im between the fights. Especially towards the end. Maybe I was expecting some light horror elements from the first Bioshock...
@@M1tZk1 eh Bioshock felt too much like Systemshock to me, and again I'm a HALO fan so infinite was a....nice welcomed surprise to me, I enjoy Halo, and I enjoy it more with plasmids. That is just me being me
While I enjoyed Infinite( at the time of release) the legacy of the game has ultimately left a sour taste.
Imagine a Infinite Movie directed by Christopher Nolan. My god.
Just started a replay of this last week and am almost done. It's just so good.
