MILLEFOGLIE SUMMER DESSERT: Strawberry Mille-Feuille with Perfect Vanilla Pastry Cream

- Good morning! This is one of my favourite desserts to make in summer and serve for a garden lunch party. I used to love eating this when I lived in Monaco and spent a lot of time in the South of France. Millefoglie with strawberries is also a very popular dolce in Italy. You can find pastry cream or crema pasticcera in so many treats in an Italian pasticceria. This is an easy recipe to make and you can find all the ingredients on my site here:

Using this music often means I can’t monetise my videos because the ad revenue goes to the music studio who own the rights to the songs but this version of ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ performed live by Sarah Vaughan in 1963 was just so beautiful that I thought it was worth the sacrifice. 🎼🥰

Disarming, relaxing, spontaneous and intimate, as if each of us has just stopped by for an espresso and a friendly, little chat with you while you bake. It takes a truly artful, creative, warm-hearted soul to speak to a thousand people as if you were speaking to each one personally.

I loved the precise placement of the old key on the counter by the stove when you were stirring the custard.....beauty is in the details..creating beauty on a daily is my hearts desire..the placement of a pillow..a lovely made bed...a pretty plate...I am constantly grabbing my camera when I see the way light is noticing an object...the photos not to show..they just nurture my soul moments of beauty thru the day....I am old now..going on my 72nd year ..living alone in the Colorado Rockies..and yet..moments of beauty fill my day..thank you for being of a like mind and heart and sharing your beauty~

Strawberries are one of my absolute favorite Summer fruits. When I was little, I had an adorable Strawberry Shortcake baby doll that released a strawberry perfume when one pressed its tummy. My Dad saved it in my small closet one day and when I found it, my entire closet smelled like strawberry. LOL
