He said when he’s at home he uses it, I think the problem he has with things that aren’t fresh or are frozen is when a product is being paid for by customers expecting nothing but the best. I also do think it is nice to know that he’s not as bothered by store bought stuff when he’s not “cheffing”!

I think his approach to cooking at home is be easier on yourself and use whatever you have in your pantry or whatever you can afford. He believes that cooking at home should be more simple and not trying to put your entire ego into a dish. Yeah there have been videos where he has expensive ingredients, but he typically uses those for special occasions instead of, say, a weeknight dinner with a glass of boxed rose.

My kids weren't big fans of eating at any of their friends houses growing up...... and yes, I'm a chef.
It just pulls my heartstrings whenever I watch daughters be totally entranced by their fathers. The way she asks questions and get so excited by the answers is just so sweet.

Most people have black pepper already, and you can get pink and vanilla pods easy enough and they aren't super expensive
There's a big difference between something being hard to do, and using less common ingredients.
It was easier for the astronauts that just launched to the ISS to fly there than it is for you to drive to the store for example.
The spaceship might have a lot more parts, and a lot more rare parts, but it's literally hands free to fly in it.

Now, years have passed and so has he .What do I have? This is a pretty old video. All the kids are grown up now. Haha. Meg (the first daughter in the video) is 14 here, and she's 22 now. But yes, he's definitely aging slowly. I absolutely adore their family.
