Hi Richo, if you don't have a stand mixer, use wooden spatula or hand(egg) mixer. You just need to find something to mix with.

You also can use fork or your fingers. If you use your fingers, first coat the butter cubes in flour. Then rub in the butter to the flour using your fingers tip that way your body temperature won't melt the butter. Hope this helps.
