    I learned to play the stand up bass and ride a motorcycle when I was in my 40's. I learned to ride a motor cycle when I was 44 and play the bass when 45. I am now 64 and I am so thankful for my 40's....I learned so much that serve me today. Your 40's are magical...use them!!! I pray with confidence you will!

    YOU are my new favorite person Diana. The advice you give in these three "changes over 45" videos is epic. I get such an honest, real person vibe from you. So refreshing. And you are uniquely beautiful. No "same face" here.

    I’m late to the game, I started to make changes to myself in my 70’s and now at 74, I am constantly getting compliments and feeling better about myself. Taking time to dress smartly, I grew out my hair, letting it go it’s natural gray, wearing less makeup, just as you suggest. Thank you so much for your inspirational videos.

      Me too! I feel so good about myslef the best I have ever felt in my life. I see now I really was very pretty young....I didnt FEEL it though. I focused on my flaws. Ting things no one else noticed...fat deposits inside my thighs ridiculous things. I had a good fit body. I didnt dress well. I dressed as a professional later. Now I really take care of myself.
      Retinoids oh boy I LOVE Tretinoin...not a Rx where I live, $20 US bi monthly on face, neck, hands.$140 a year amd I look 15 years younger...says my dermatologist who makes not a penny on it because it isnt Rx where I live! People remark about my skin constantly.
      I dress well. Where Impive abroad boho is my style and I bUy it all used imported from the USA. There is one shop in my town exclusively boho and I do buy new outfits Karma Rd brand l9ve them skirts and tops in Spring colors ...my colors.

    I was on vacation for few days and slept so much better 👀 I couldn't even really explain why. I was falling asleep more easily and woke up earlier feeling more rested. It makes such a difference to your day... I definitely was more relaxed in the evening. But if I think about it there is no real reason why I shouldn't be equally relaxed now. Its frustrating

    • @unblahyourself
      @unblahyourself  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm sure there's so much that goes into our daily routines that affects us at levels we're not even consciously detecting. It's frustrating when we can't get the sleep we want. The only thing I have control over is to not watch terrifying things before bed so I do that!

    I loooove your channel name 😊that's exactly how I have been feeling since 2020 😒 just blah!! Everything is blah. The world definitely has been a bit less friendly lately thinking about the pandemic, economy or the crazy climate but I think it's not just that. It's like the pandemic had a much longer term effect on our psyche... I feel we all could be a bit more positive or just less worried. all of us need to unblah no matter your age. It's like even when things aren't actually bad I just can't enjoy things. The opposite of rose coloured glasses. It's very annoying 🙄 and I'm struggling to get out of it

    • @unblahyourself
      @unblahyourself  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's why I started this channel! So many women were telling me they felt "blah" so I thought about it for a while. I found that most of us can get out of "blah" by making conscious decisions to connect with others and to think about our second half of life with a more adventurous spirit. The pandemic caused us all to communicate through screens and that allowed people to be more direct, rude and mean to each other. Unfortunately I think that's carried over to real life now. The only answer I have is to regularly reach out to people with compassion and love. IDK if that's always possible, but I think it doesn't hurt to try.

    Always take more trips! Domestic, international, or local. I live in a large city with an expansive metro system. Occasionally, I'll carve out 4-6 hours and head to a metro stop I've never been to. I'll do little research in advance so as to experience it naturally. Typically I have a meal there, walk around, look for art, parks, unique features, and other fun. It refreshes my perspective and takes little time and has no risk.

    Brava! I LOVED your suggestions that I can use at age 72! I would add, and try to do often is, SMILE! As our faces 'drop' a little, keeping a smile on your face, just makes everyone happier and maybe even better looking! I live in a place where people are OK with someone smiling, where most of us enjoy and appreciate a little aloha!
    Thoughts of things we are grateful for, or enjoy in life, gives us a reason to smile and can bring ones whole attitude/vibration up. You don't have to look like a crazed person, but one who looks like they hold the secrets of the Universe inside, and are digging every moment!
    Thanks for all YOU do to bring some fun and beauty into our lives!

    • @unblahyourself
      @unblahyourself  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Thank you! I do believe in the power of smiling! I think our faces droop a lot because we're not using them, staring at screens all day instead of talking face to face with others! I think face yoga works but I haven't been able to add it to what I do!

    Using Seint makeup, has made a world of difference since its a cream. Also the demi color corrector leaves such a wonderful sheen and doesn't settle into wrinkles so badly. It works much better on older skin and leaves a very dewy appearance. Content creator Michelle Spieler Mature Makeup Master Class is so fabulous. She's actually a 30 year pro makeup artist and sells Seint because she believes in how well it performs. I think you would actually enjoy her very much. When I came across you recently you remind me of her. Both very positive people etc. Thanks for all you do for us. God Bless!!! Annette

    Such intentionality! Dictionary says word means “existing in only in intention” I think rather than just rambling along your words suggest really living by design, making choices in multiple areas for a sparkling life experience! The idea that you can answer the question “what’s you doing?” With some solid answers, instead of saying nothing!

      I notice your comment is a year old, so you may actually have reached the size 10 you are striving for ... or not!
      However, just in case that size 10 has been elusive, I wonder ... might it be possible to choose to be happier at whatever size you currently are, or at a size closer to a 10 ... a 12, 14, or 16?
      What was going on in your life when you were a size 10? Have you experienced grief and or losses, deaths or even moving, that were hard? Give yourself or someone else a break, the benefit of the doubt,. Forgive yourself or someone else for not being "perfect." Start with one small change ... then add another ... and another. For a good quick coping behavior think of a specific smell that when you smell it, you always feel good? Maybe fresh bread, or cookies, vanilla, or a specific perfume? For me it's a whiff of Chanel Madamoiselle Parfum! So I regularly spray some on when I feel stressed or anticipate a stressful situation. Research shows smell is the quickest way to memory. So, recreate that smell on purpose, to activate that "good" feeling! Make the choice to feel happier. Condider whether you might need to see your doctor about an antidepressant medication? (Yes, I'm a mental health professional.) Just my thoughts ... in case there might be more to your unhappiness than your current size.
      I just found this channel and I'm loving the very idea of "unblahing myself!" What a novel idea! I love it! Dianna, you're on to something important! Thanks!🎉😊❤ Shirley from Texas

  • @exomake_mehorololo
    @exomake_mehorololo ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I think it's important to find make that just suits you. Your colouring, undertones and eye shape. For example I have light grey green eyes and hooded eyes + being fair, there are quite a few not brown eye colours that look beautiful /complementary on my lid like all kinds of greens, cool purples, peaches and warm pinks. They don't look too much or over the top because they either blend in with my eyes or make my eyes glow green and having hooded eyes you don't see most of my lid. On the other hand darker or mid tone browns that look gorgeous and soft on brown eyes look very made up on me as they look even darker on my very light eyes. A lot of people don't pay proper attention to their undertones or eye colours IMO and both are very important to how any eye make up looks on you. E.g. If you are very cool toned a black mascara could look very nice and youthful on you and brown may wash you out or even bring out redness. For me black mascara never looks harsh because of my cool toned eyes, it makes my eyes more vibrant

    • @unblahyourself
      @unblahyourself  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have become very interested in color season analysis lately and you're completely correct! I'd really like to get my colors done professionally but I feel like I'm in the weird neutral zone between soft summer and soft autumn so I go back and forth between cool and warm eye colors depending on what I want to look like. Hooded eyes are an interesting thing to talk about as well. Mine are slightly hooded so winged eyeliner is tricky! Eyeshadow is great for hooded eyes, you just have to bring it up higher so it can be seen.

    I missed the first 2 parts of this series, I'm going to watch them now. Great tips 😁👍. I definitely need to start doing some more strengthening and balance exercises. I seldom wear makeup, but I agree on looking after your skin. Have you tried the Ordinary AHA30%+BHA2%peeling solution? You use it twice a week, it looks like you have smeared blood on your face 😱 but your skin looks fantastic afterwards 😊.

    Hee, hee. Hair and tweezers! My older sister always kept tweezers in her car because she said she could better see what she was doing.
    I never really bothered with my brows because they were “good” and I was completely satisfied.
    Now I am 71 and most of my brows are white! Sometimes I put brow makeup on them, but it doesn’t matter to me at all.
    However, the biggest shock has been how my hair rebels against me. I have Hashimoto’s disease so my hair is getting thinner but evil hairs pop up everywhere else that I don’t want them. Chin, neck, face for starters.
    My eyes have gotten much worse, so I don’t always see the little buggers.
    I love what my hair looks like nowadays, past my shoulders and mostly silver, grey and still some dark brown. It also sometimes gets mischievous and is straight and looks like angel hair, other times I wake up with waves and ringlets. I am enjoying it immensely. I watch a lot of Chinese fantasy movies and want to have long streaky hair like the heroes/heroines in them. LOL
    However, I have slipped into the frumpy/comfortably numb mode re: what I have been habitually wearing.
    I love that your videos have gotten me interested in my appearance once again. I am shopping my closet and thrifting for better looks to get into my artistic French girl persona. Hee, hee. Every time you say Queen Baddies I think you are saying Queen “Batties!” 👩🏻‍🎨👍

    They're priced $25 and under not $20. Additionally I have added recently One Skin OS-01peptide face, eyes and body. They're not so affordably priced but at my age I felt amping things up with good peptides in addition to the retinol would be a good idea. I am 63 years old. My biggest concern has become my inner forearms which have become crepy, and it's creepy lol

    I just looked it up and .10 % is what I'm using so it's not a good comparison. However Naturium has a range of affordably priced and efiicatious products. They're priced at under $20 each except the Retinaldehyde is $29. They want it to be affordable so you can continue to use it. They've just been bought by Elf. I haven't seen any changes with the company. I am 63 yo and Naturium products are working well for me. I have their SPF 50 PA ++++ Dew Glow moisurizer, lactic acid etc.
