You do not have to do this. The F150 epas will relearn the parameters just ensure the wheel is centered. Measure where the tie rod bolts are on each side originally and install. Good practice to get an alignment but if you were tracking straight before... plug in and F! ford. I have replaced this twice now. Can you believe it 3 racks in 180000 miles. 😅😅😅

    Hi there,
Quick question - I just got my EPS rack replaced on my 2011 F150. A few days after getting it back from the mechanic I have been having transmission sensor issues. A friend plugged his code reader in and got the code "P0720 Output Speed Sensor Circuit"
Could this be an issue from incorrect programming and calibration of the new EPS rack?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks

325 foot pounds, really? Is that correct? Seems high for the size of the bolt.

I hate this mentality of "Only a guy with the high dollar BS equipment can fix this" why make this complicated when hydlaulics have worked for so long?

leaving the old weekend warrior mechanics in the dust ! Thank you Ford "💡"
This is just great ' How Ford combines and places real high tech & real sensitive electronics in one of the worst possible locations.
Underneath the vehicle where it's subjected to road grime, rocks, gravel, salt, snow, water and corrosion.
is this working out better than just a good hydraulic rack and pinion system ?
l appreciate you high tech mechanics,' you guy's really have to constantly learn new stuff every day 👍🔧

I’m actually mad at ford for this one. $4000.00 repair for a part replacement that originally used to be a very cost effective Hydraulic system. I want a truck that goes and turns. Why make it complicated with ridiculous parts like this. My 1995 mustang still steers just fine, but my “built Ford tough” f-150 can’t make 225,000km without needing a repair worth 10% of the entire vehicle brand new.

@@deddrunc5591 turns out it was a corroded intermediate shaft. $300 part. I took it elsewhere after having issues with the mechanic that said it was the whole rack (even though I specifically asked them to make sure it wasn’t an intermediate shaft).
