Milton was stone blind when he wrote Paradise Lost, having dictated the entire work. He saw the whole thing with his inner eye, a feat he reflects on elsewhere. I love Milton. Who would not? Thank you for your talk and presentation.
The answer to the question, "Is Milton better than Shakespeake?" would be dumber than the already colossally dumb question that is asked in the first place.
Thank you for posting this video, very informative, entertaining and fun, thank you so much. I think Shakespeare is better. Be safe, healthy and happy God bless you and keep you in His perfect peace and in His love 😊 Saturday, February 10, 2024
Satan is presented in “Paradise lost” in all his beauty and glory, as the most powerful Angel. His expulsion from heaven , into Hell, seems all the more poignant in view of this. Powerful imagery and verse.
The affected faux-innocent style used by the actors they get for such readings is enough to put people off whatever they're hearing. Sickly-sweet middle-class fare.

The spearshaker didn’t exist.
The man was made up by Francis Bacon and his cronies.
