    Tried this today and it actually WORKED!! I'm so happy to have a shiny, new looking sink again! Thank you so much.

    Thank you so much for this and the links too! This is my sign NOT to spend $400 for new sink & installation costs! My sink is 20 yrs old with serious scratches but no stains! I’d like to buff out the scratches and restore some of the shine! I’ll update with my success!!

    Thank you so much! It worked, amazing my sink looks brand new. Your method is superior to others!

    Thank you, thank you. I knew the standard vinegar/baking soda recommendation wasn't going to get it done but hadn't considered sandpaper. I worked slowly and steadily with the water running and both sinks are now waayyyyy better. FYI they had been stained by "green gobler" drain cleaner. Don't know if they advise you of the possibility of staining but that was what did it. So grateful for your video!

    Hopefully this works. I used lime away and left it on too long and now I have streaks and spots all in my sink 😩

      @@lysdefonsiso I tried it today, it took a while because the CLR and Lime Away ruined it. The amount of streaking and tarnishing I did the process 3 times and did both sides even tho only needed one side. It turned out nice. Glad I don’t have to replace my sink now.

    Can you give me the name of some stainless steel polish? I have searched but the ones I have found for sinks don't list stainless steel on the list of many different other metals

    What coarse sandpaper do you recommend? Link if possible. I damaged my sink with lime-a-way 🤦‍♀️

    Thanks for this. Going to try. Hopefully, don't need to replace my sink that has oxidation and an acid stain.

    My sink have very deep scratches. Should I start with the 1000 grit sandpaper? When do we use the 2000 grit sandpaper? When the 1000 grit is ineffective?

    • @vinoto
      @vinoto 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Use the 2000 after the 1000. 2000 is finer so it's for a final smooth finish

    How long will it stay like this until having to redo the buffing process again??

      Totally depends on how you use your sink. If knives and heavy cast iron pans are thrown into the sink, not very long. The shine should last as long as it did from new and scratches based on use. Thanks for the question.

    can oxidized sink use this method? my sink is black from acid damage.

    • @PROSDIY
      @PROSDIY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would assume it would work. Depends how deep the damage went. You may have to start out with a more coarse sandpaper.
