My parents took me to all-night gospel sings many times - - some of the happiest memories I have where music is concerned. At the tender age of below 15, the jubilation, fun and no-holds-barred attitudes of these singers showed me that people could actually ENJOY praising God in song. These musicians seemed to have imbued with some special power, some joy that my parents and other adults at our Southern Baptist Church in Jackson, MS knew anything about. If they knew about it, this power was not unleashed in our very strict church services, where the only times women were heard was regarding Women's Mission Union, a solo song on Sunday morning or with the "revival" choir. All Night Gospel sings unleashed a freedom in worship that was very liberating to me. The phrase "Be the light" took on fresh meaning!
I surely Remember the Time but the Lord saved me what a wonderful day in my life and it's lasted these years these the many years thank the Lord for his Mercy and his grace and his keeping power
I love to listen to all the older gospel groups they sound so great I wish here was a show on sunday morning at highlighted all the older groups that I grew up with
Good songs. God loves us all and we are saved through the Grace and love of Jesus as our Savior if we accept Him into our hearts and lives. Please do if you have not already.

cherry edwards Calling this "like a barbershop quartet" tells me nothing except that you can count to four. Barbershop is highly regimented, quite different harmony and acapella. So to recap, you're wrong about everything except four. Also, all caps is a sign of mental illness, so maybe you should seek medical help.
These guys have a nasty habit of NOT naming the songs ! . Is that one called Blessed Rock of Ages , or , Rock Of Ages Hide Thou Me , or something else .....
I love listening to Larry Ford. He's one of the greatest tenors ever.
From Australia, I love the Dixie Echoes and put Dale Shelnut up there with the great lead singers of that time.
We had an all night singing every year. It was in Dales hometown of Guin Alabama. Always some of the best groups.
I love the old time singing

Mr. Whitfield was right. One of the prettiest gospel songs there is.
Old time gospel music the way it was! Used to watch them on Sunday mornings on the Gospel Jubilee broadcast. Good memories!

Is it just me or do Ken Turner and Larry Ford look weird without moustaches
Outrageous that this occurred and even more so that it was posted! Around the 13:30 mark.
I see when this ws posted but when was the performance. I am guessing later 70sinto the 80s.
I believe it was late 60’s. The Inspirations were on this card and Marlin was singing bass.
Hello God. By Dolly Parton
70s. I was there.
THE LADY PLAYING THE PIANO 🎹 IS REALLY GOOD! BUT THIS IS JUST LIKE A BARBERSHOP QUARTET... THATS ALL THIS IS... SAME THING

Rock of Ages Hide Thou Me.
Well you are a hateful old man. The songs were probably in the PRINTED PROGRAM at the Church or the meeting they were at.
Most racist video on TH-cam?
How so, this is beautiful!
Beautiful music, beautiful souls, united in worshipping the source of our life
