[MHGU/MHXX] Thunderlord Guild Hammer 3'15 | 金雷公ジンオウガハンマーソロ

This is the G5 Boltreaver quest. I wanted to do a Guild run, and Zinogre is one of my favorite matchups for it! Unfortunately, Thunderlord can get so big that it makes it very difficult to land hits on the head other than golfswing, so I went with this quest because it's always gold crown small and I don't have to deal with aggressive small monsters on the other quests...

Great run in any case! Watching good hammer play is always a blast, those regular pounds aimed at nothing so the golf swing gets the head later. 9000 IQ stuff

Quick Question, Why do most Hammer Speedrunners not use the Level 1 Charge as a Combo Reset? Is it actually Slower than just waiting the endlag and starting another Pound Pound Golfswing?

I get why in the context of Thunderlord given his head is so high, but for monsters like Rathian for example why not take the free extra hits in the head?

Yep, it's slower than waiting and starting another triple pound so you can't fit in the last golfswing safely after it gets back up

I think this one is a tenderizer +5 OOO, but there should be a lot of options for making this set, check out a set builder like athena's if you don't have that one
