Good video; however, it is a little misleading. The title says "model comparison". In no way did you "compare" one model against the other, instead I watched a 7:42 commercial.
I want this dude to read me bedtime stories. Voice is so smooth and calming. Oh, great review as well!
Cx5 is much better.Because the design is simple but clean,no noise super quite,soft and most of all Larger than Tucson!

I like the fact that the Hyundai Tucson offers the panoramic sunroof and I also like the fact that the Mazda give you a somewhat sports car ride and you can hear the engine make a more engaging ride to me I would definitely go for the Mazda CX5 but I'm so disappointed in the fact that the Mazda CX5 doesn't offer a panoramic sunroof it would just kill the competition in the small crossover SUV's I really wish Mazda would give there buyers that option a long with Android and Apple car play. l like Hyundai Tucson design but it's too quiet and it's slow the ride is not as fun as The Mazda CX5 and the Stern Wheel feel detached from the road so I'm hoping next year Mazda would offer my wash list in next year models

Not exactly..i like looking at cars and car reviews....they show up ( using different names ) on a ton of youtube/car reviews. They always say how lousy Mazdas are and how great Hyundia/Kias are..Really low for a manuf to have paid trolls doing this if you ask me...
hyundai use cheap materials, korean vs Japan and you know the winner.
I used to drive compact cars, well I am about to buy a suv and I just decided mazda is for me, but do you think I will have problems get use to the cx5?

This more of an extended ad for both vehicles than a comparison. Which is better and why?
This might be the perfect compact SUV for me if it has a bit of extra space for the leg and luggage compartment a bit bigger than the other SUVs. But other than that I like everything of this car.
CX5 rear seat does not recline and is so vertical, you feel like you are sitting against a wall. Tucson wins in this regard.
it is a more comfortable vehicle. those rear reclining, heated seats in the Tuscon are a real gem.
Can you change the digital speedometer? That's something I really don't like and why I never looked at Civics. Please advise. Great video. I have a '13 Genesis R-Spec and would like to look at the Tuscon or maybe wait to see what the new Genesis brand comes out with for SUV's.
You can change the center display to show multiple things. If you watch back in the video, the actual speedometer is to the right of the display. If you look at the top of the center display, you will see a row of icons. The coolest looking of those options is the compass, imo. I just bought a Tucson limited, and I tested it against a CRV, Rogue, Edge, and CX-5.

Is Tucson versus CX-5 a fair comparison? My take on Tucson is that it is more like an asphalt vehicle (Jelibon SUV- afraid to go off-road) designed only for people with deep pockets and want to show off. CX-5 on the other hand, is a tick better than Tucson in that sense- it can do off-road.

Is it true for the Mazda CX5 when you drive in higher speed that the wind noise is too loud ?
+Bernard Kozina I test drove a 2014 last year and it was a bit loud at highway speeds, the 2016 I bought 2 weeks ago is much quieter inside. :)

Is there any reason one would want to buy the 2016 model instead of the 2015 grand touring all-wheel-drive model?

+Bowling Brawn If you can get the 2015 for a good price get it. They did add some features.they updated the interior the nav.They also tweaked it for a slightly softer ride and added more soundproof materials..
There is no engine temperature gage on the CX-5. Not even on the Grand Touring. To get heated side mirrors on the CX-5 that are standard on ANY Hyundai base trim, you need to buy the top of the line Grand Touring CX-5. The mid price range Hyundai Tucson Sport gets the 19" wheels and the heated side mirrors for less money which are both ONLY offered on the Grand Touring CX-5. Acceleration and gas mileage are another issues with the CX-5 when compared to any Hyundai Tucson FWD or AWD.

19" wheels is nothing amazing.it kills your fuel economy and males it incredibly costly to replace tires

there is a temperature light(blue for cold and red for overheat) in each n every mazda from 2012+
the needle gauge is only showing 3 thing, cold,normal,and overheat.there never had a middle in the needlegauge ,if your needle is going up,its that your car is overheating .
the Tuscon also offers heated back seats, which recline as well. rear AC/heat vents and MUCH more leg room in the back. comfort wise, Tsucon wins, easily.
Both on-road and off-road performances are required to compare with.
Not much of a review here. If I need a commercial, I'll go to the Mazda's or Hyundai's website. About zero technical detail.
Also, reviewing the fully loaded, top models doesn't speak to most customers who will largely focus on mid-range ones.

Not so much a review but gushing over a couple of cars. And certainly not a comparison, as there wasn't really any of that.
So perhaps the video should be called; "Driving two cars and gushing about them (including talk of hypothetical snow handling)."

CX-5 without doubts! I have a CX-5 MY 16 and I think it's the best car I've ever had - the CX-5 imho is more beautiful than the Tucson, has a better handling and has a better value for money (Mazda's Skyactiv engines are better than Hyundai ones, moreover Tucson's interior is not soft touch like Mazda's one and the infotainment is more complete in the japanese).
+Moreno Biroli I have been struggling in my decision simply because I love the panoramic roof of the Tucson and also some TLC for the back seat like vents, heated seats, and the back adjustment. I'm looking at the AWD versions too.

hi, it seems that you own this mazda, so what about the in-cabin noises transfered from the engine or from the road amd surrounding environment
Hi; I can certainly say that cabin noise has been reduced in the MY16 thanks to thicker glasses, better rubber door seals and also with more soundproof panels, so the engine ot the road noise is no longer annoying. The confort is also better because of the recalibrated suspensions and the new rearview mirrors to reduce the wind noise (even if you can still hear some wind noise if you are moving at 130 km/h or more...anyway in the pre-restyling CX-5 it was certainly worse).
The interior looks great, the display of the Mazda Connect is bigger than the older one and also better to use: you can use touchscreen mode if you are not moving but I find more intuitive to use the HMI or the voice command mode. The dashboard is all covered with better soft touch plastic even if some details are still improvable. An example? The rear doors are still covered with hard plastic and I don't like very much the type of cloth used to cover the ceiling.
I'm sorry if I made some mistakes writing ahah...but I hope you can understand!
i have just visit both cars.. for my opinion Tucson looks good from outside, but the material inside look cheap..
but the inside of Cx5 looks like europe car..
price is about the same.. but Hyundai is very confident to give 5 years warranty meanwhile cx5 only 3 years..
hyundai is also has power tail gating..
i still cant decide anyway :(

Tucson looks better, better warranty, more features available. The Mazda will handle better.
+Bruno TaTa The warranty is just for the powertrain. It is unlikely that you will use it for either car. Though its nice to have in case. Also if you are the 2nd owner the warranty goes to 5/50 something they dont tell you about in the ads.
Strange in Canada we have 5/100,000 for the powertrain and the bumper to bumper no matter the owner.
handling is subjective. I preferred the Tuscon over the CX5's handling. I dont care for Mazda's jerky/touchy steering wheel and a more apparent road feedback in a car the size of the CX5. It makes total sense in the Miata and the 3 (which I currently own), but, imo, an SUV should provide comfort first with a little bit of sportiness thrown in, not the other way around. each to their of, though.
Tucson looks like an updated copy of the cx5.. The cx5 is also what, 6years old? So the design will look slightly outdated compared to the Tucson
renouf26 cx5 appeared in 2013. its not even 4 year old now . and the redesigned is comming for '17
the tucson is better but do i relly wana buy a hyundai? probably not. but its between this and a jeep cherokee trailhawk for me.
the Cherokee is having massive issues with its 9speed transmission right now.
Limited is a poor deal though. Should of tested out sport.
