Thank you for the comment - however there are hundreds of other videos of the bike, we wanted to give you a real world impression of the first ride - or better yet - check out the bike in person at your local dealership :-) happy and safe riding
@@MidlandsMotorbikers yea definitely mate. Was taking it out today but got to drop a customer bike off so no time, hopefully tomorrow. Just subbed by the way 🙏
Hello Can you describe the size difference between it and the 1250 GSA? Do you think it appears too small in front of the 1250 GSA, like the 1300 GS, but with a rectangular tank? Thnx PS: You have the option to create a video about that, as many people are curious about its size....
@@MidlandsMotorbikers ah fair enough, it was mainly the first bits, but congrats 🙌. Only mentioned as I do it professionally, you want the best possible 🔥
This one comes with the Anakee’s which I’ll be honest seemed to suit the bike nicely…. However I will be swapping to my preferred tyre choice of the Dunlop Meridians at first swap
You think the screen winglets are working in town limits? 70mph+ - maybe. A ride round the suburbs is pretty lame, but hey - you HAD to get something out there, eh?
@@MidlandsMotorbikers the GSA not yet. The dealership in the area has closed down, that's also a perspective for me. I really don't feel like I should try it. For me BMW has taken a wrong design route. It's like stacked bricks, a copy of the Harley, also a no go.. But beauty is the eye of the beholder.
@@andreb6130 this is what we love about bikes it’s all so subjective and open to different likes and views. I’ll be interested to know if you ride one what you think as that is the main reason we buy bikes….. I’ve had some stunning bikes before but they don’t ride well at all, whereas this rides incredible for me! The perfect balance of power, comfort and overall rider enjoyment…. I will be honest the looks grow on you
looks shite, you have just got done no miles but rave about just for content, I've done over quarter million miles on gs and gsa so tend to have a valued opinion
Thank you for the comment however have you rode one? I’ve rode GS and GSA for years now and this test ride was enough for me to comment on how different it was instantly….. go ride one and see for yourself :-) then come back and tell me
@@MidlandsMotorbikers I agree. I rode one today and was amazed at just how good it was. Just for the record I’ve had about 10 gs/gsa over the years and currently ride a year old 1250 gsa
@@MidlandsMotorbikers just watching your video now, and your comment about the quick shifter is very true. I was looking to get an ASA version having ridden a 1300GS ASA but now having tried the ‘clutched’ version on the GSA the gear change using the shifter is so much better I’ve decided to save the hundreds on the ASA and just get the normal ‘clutched’ version. 😊
Goes great but looks like a turd 👍 And the price now..... hmmm . " Is it worth upgrading "? For me, a clear NO. And we dont yet know what faults will show up, considering what the std one has experienced. Even if I could get past the looks I would likely wait a year until problems are resolved. Personally 😉
@@MidlandsMotorbikers no plan to, it will go as great as something this price should but not some great leap over the 1250 and the looks are a killer for me, the extra technology I can just about manage without too 😉
It looks iconic. I was brought up playing with Tonya toys, so I love the looks!
It is certainly a modern looking machine!
I came to see a bike, not a rider. Lose the selfie cam.

Great review and video James - really enjoyed watching that
Thank you for commenting and so glad you enjoyed it!
It will grow on people. I really didn't like the look of Yamahas MT10 when it came out but I bought one and in the flesh I really grew to like it.
Exactly that, but this really is a grower! It’s modern and looks just right personally
@@MidlandsMotorbikers yea I love the look of it. It's a proper tank
Great video James! I need to admit that yes, the looks grow on me... That's why I am scared to see it in person because I will like and want it 😅
So when you are coming to check it out….?
Been stroking that bike for the past week in the warehouse lol I must say every day I see it I like it more
It massively grows on you doesn’t it, it showcases quality and a premium look and feel…. BMW have done amazing

Cool.
Assuming you haven't replied the question I believe the video will arrive soon, thnx :)
Stats say its 1kg heavier than 1250 GSA but did it feel heavier, lighter or same riding it? Thank you for your extensive experience.
Honestly it felt extremely familiar in weight but weirdly it was easier to manoeuvre than the 1250

Thank you.
Needs some more lights I think! Looks good though
Don’t worry….. that’s coming next
Turn your mic gain down slightly it’ll sound cleaner ❤️

Yes this is the TE model :-)
What helmet are you wearing?
We love it! The Nexx XWed3 helmet
Great review. But £23000 and the shaft drive is a consumable at the owners expense. No thank you
What was it that impressed you? He rode it through the town and suburbs!
Thank you for opinions, it is a steep price but the riding experience won it for me
Quick shifting 1st to 2nd 🤕 nobody does that ffs.
Agreed not usually but the Honda E-Clutch does it seamlessly…. Have BMW missed a trick?
