I’ve had my new 1300 for a few days now after 3 years and 18,000 miles on my 1250. I agree with you on the engine power, though I suspect when I get the engine into the upper RPM ranges I will notice the power difference. The engine quite a bit smoother, but has lost a bit of character with no audible sound, and no pops and bangs. For me the adaptive ride height is the one thing that has made the upgrade worthwhile.
The only better thing in that wanna be GS is the sound… Maybe when they release the GSA will get me interested although I’m curious in why the call the GSA Trophy that I have the “final version”… Good stuff brother
I know your video is about upgrading from the 1250 but what about which one if buying for the first time. I am wanting to purchase a adventure bike in the next few months and haven't decided which brand and model. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro looks good also. I even thought about going with the 900 size also. I guess I will be doing some test riding soon. Great video. It's nice to see an American do a video on the 1300. Most of them are from the UK or somewhere else.
Thank you sir. Here’s my opinion. If you are just getting into it now, I would either buy a lightly used 2021 or 2022 R1250 GS. One of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden. Now, if you’ve never ridden a r1250gs, the 1300gs is lighter, more tech, faster on high end, and an awesome machine. I would pick it over those other choices.(and I’ve tested them). Only thing that are watch items are you are off-roading is 1. They are very heavy. 2 very expensive and if you’re off-roading it’s not a matter of if but when you will go down. Good luck and thx for watching.
You know that your bike does have that sports screen in its menu it’s just not activated but is there. If you have or know anyone with the GS911 tool you can change it in the menu system quite easily. That tool does cost a bit, if you don’t have access to one then maybe your BMW dealer would be kind enough to unlock it for you.

I have a full video on my library when I did it. You go to Bt moto website, purchase it and then they send you all instructions and you can do yourself. Hope that helps. Thx for watching 👍
Just Flashed my ECU also, BT_Moto, my bike is crazy fast now, I think now faster then the 1300, no thanks for me either, from here it;s gonna be the M-1000XR......Best and honest review finally......
Thx bro! Me too! Always good to test ride these bikes. For someone that doesn’t own one, I would say it’s a buy but for someone like me, not enough. Airwolf stays! 👍
You didn’t rev it out or go over 60mph or even take it through a corner. What’s the point, could have compared it to an NC750. I have a 1250, not ridden a 1300 yet but ride it thoroughly rather than 9 minutes on a straight road.
Just because I didn’t show it on film doesn’t mean I didn’t test it, and the film is edited to 9 minutes but the bike was tested much longer. Furthermore, I was very clear that it was an initial assessment and I stand behind my assessment. Thx for watching
@@FLYANDRIDE15 I was going off what you showed on the video/broadcast which is what I have to go on. So being clear regarding an initial assessment looks to me like you rode it as the video. If you rode it further and still feel the same then fair enough, but I can only go on your presented video/comments. thx for replying.

'No audible sound', that's a pleonasm! Think about what you are saying.
Multistrada……Simply the best
💯👍
Sweet bike gold bars are nice
It does look great! 👍

If you were in the market to buy a GS. Would you buy the 1250 or 1300? Thxs
@@SeanFisk great question. I would go for the 1250, tried and true turnover 40 years.
@ what I was thinking plus you can get better deals on the 1250s now. Thxs
@ no question. One of the best bikes I’ve owned. Hands down. Good luck

Tested the 1300 over the weekend. Great bike ,is it better than my 1250 adv ,not sure I will have to wait for the new1300 /1400 adventure !

Great to hear! Love the BT moto tune! The M 1000 XR is awesome but have to wait a bit.
A GS?! Did the GPS only offer different Starbucks locations? lol. Good looking bike dude! Doesn't sound like enough changes to upgrade though
😂👍
Nice bike for sure!
💯👍
It’s definitely a nice bike and them bars look great. But I wouldn’t do it yours is just as nice. My opinion
Thank you. Appreciate it 👍
brakes work lol i like yours better ... more rugged... i like the exposed trellis frame you're is better in my opinion 🎉

@@FLYANDRIDE15 Airwolf is a BMF 🤘🏽
Unless you need to make updated content.... What the hell would you need to upgrade from your setup 1250GS for?

N-J All Day!
Your bike does have the 719 mirrors, no?
Yes sir! 🤙
Not worth it.. it looks a lot like the Honda Goldwing with all that plastic covering everything... Hahaha....
Actually the looks is what I liked the most ironically 😆. Thx for watching. 👍
Looks nothing like a gold wing.
@@ryanr4181 he was referring to some of the plastic I think, I can see a resemblance
A short test on a straight, busy road are not the best ingredients for a good review.
I was expecting better.
Thanks for watching. I specifically said in the video it was not a review, first ride and impressions. And plenty for me to make a decision
I just can't get over the X headlight sorry bmw 🤮
