Hey man! First of all, thank you for all your hard work. I found your channel when I was making cars for Assetto corsa and because of you, I am now getting addicted to CGI. I’ve watched all the videos but I do have a very special question. It feels like you started pending more to the VRay side and less on Corona side. I am now considering buying a 1 year license to see what I can achieve within that time frame. My question is, are you keep on going on vray or Corona? I can then make a better decision on what to buy to follow your tutorials.
Would be better if you did it on more complex model or an actual car model instead of sample plane it's hard to see the results on a flat surface specially with material like this, either way thank you so much for sharing this video.
There are a couple reasons why I did it on a sample plane. 1. It matches my color chip. 2. The Scale of the Plane is 100% accurate to the scale of my color chip which helps me dial in flake scale accurately. 3. I shot the HDRIs in the same locations I shot the color chip reference, so when dialing them in I am able to compare apples to apples to see the differences. At the end of the day this is the concept, its not right or wrong, its up to the user to adjust as they see fit, nothing in CGI is ever a 100% accurate method of doing things haha.
The best automotive cg channel on TH-cam.
how did u create the flakes textures?
Why no one works in VRay with cinema 4D?
