Lumion is way better, Twinmotion is still cartoony, I have experience with both and honestly, Lumion wins by far. Yes Twinmotion renders faster but in the end Lumion will give way better results. If you don't believe this then compare the render quality of Twinmotion and Lumion, you will know which one does a better job. No contest.

if you use twinmotion in unreal engine now you can get any material in megascans and add them to twinmotion and make any type of material you want .and its free

My company have twinmotion but i normally used lumnion at home for practise, i think lum is more realistic compare to the twinmotion because its powerful filter to enhance the total effects im not sure the twinmotio have lighting bit map or shadow bitmap output or not or relfective map etc so that i can edit my image in photoshop. And also HDRI make the lighting more natural for exterior door, which seems liked twinmotion is not support HDRI map.
hey man. I was surprised u found Lumion's UI easyer than Twinmotion's UI. the thing is that with Lumion u have to know where to fins some options because it's more hidden. But in general I myself am convinced Lumion is more advanced than Twinmotion

For interior decently 3ds Max+ Vray. In 3ds max by defailt, you have more control, light, UV map, geometry and etc. That makes you render more realistic. If you need speed, SketchUp is a better way
Lumion better, BUT, as you know if we are talking about quality, we should use other programs. Because Lumion, Twinmotion its about usability, and only after that about quality

My ok pc with ryzen 3 1200 and nvidia 1050ti can run twinmotion. Before exporting, you can choose to export it with max reflections and lighting so even editing at low settings wont affect the final render

you did'nt compare the rendering time in animation or image mode between Lumion and the Twinmotion. Twinmotion is so faster than Lumion in rendering time. also, twin motion has decals effect that will make materials dirty and so realistic than in Lumion
Hello, I have a question about the requirements of both the programs. My friend asked me to build a portable pc for him, for 3D modelling and rendering. He said he uses both of those programs. Are those programs very CPU demanding/Do those programs benefit from a high-end CPU ? Is a 9600k (6 core) good enough ? Or is a 8 core CPU necessary ? I'd really appreciate a response. Regards :)
I try both, but in fact twinmotion cant compete with lumion. Is simple to compare, just go both site look at their gallery. Lumion is way better than twinmotion. Btw, twinmotion is just way easy to setup and use compare to lumion.

I can't believe no one has made a tutorial on how to add the outputs in Photoshop to blend them with the main render! I have the free version of twinmotion and its alot of trial and error with the lighting and materials. Comes out dark or washed out for me.

I found that it is easier using lumion to create a photorealistic render than twinmotion. twinmotion render has that fake, game like looks from unreal engine, and its library objects are like from games that are at least 10 years old.
For realism go for lumion for ux go for twinmotion for commercial purpose you have advantage over open source software and twinmotion is free till November

Depend on what kind of GPU do you have. Maybe you search on recommended GPU and processor and compare it with the one you have, so you can see the % difference in performance from both component

What I like about lumion is importing models with the axis, it makes it easier to place model on exact location . I wish twinmotion can do that.
My rhino models are importing to twinmotion in exact location where they were in rhino.
2 big things. Twinmotion free now and video export really fast. Extremely fast.

Can i import my own animated FBX in Lumion? Because in Twinmotion i am not able to do this.
wrong yet again, twinmotion can give the same output and sometimes better than lumion, depending on how you setup your scene. lighting is way better.
The big factor with Twinmotion is how fast it renders videos. Lumion takes 20+ hours for something twinmotion does in 10 minutes

agreed, Lumion looks more realistic. Of cource if you will not plan to use Twinmotion + Unreal Engine. Thank you for your opinion ;)

Maybe you can edit it on photoshop or lightroom after the image rendered. If you want the best result you cant just relly on Lumion/twinmotion only.

My graphic card has 2gb, the rendering is fast, but the only concern is that you don't see the textures as detailed as the final result...

Nope, to import your revit file, you should convert model to fbx or, use direct links (add-ins) for twinmotion or Lumion
