    10 TIPS for Better, Faster Renderings in Twinmotion
    As shown in the video.. Thanx again Justin
    --------
    01 - Isolate your Grass Areas before placing geometry.
    02 - Use Border Grass for smooth grass along edges.
    03 - Use Multi-Drop to place random sizes/rotated copies of objects.
    04 - Use the scenograph to control object visibility.
    05 - Quickly replace objects with the replace tool.
    06 - Create multiple copies of objects by holding the shift key.
    07 - Use "apply to object" to replace materials in individual objects.
    08 - Use Decals to add detail and break up large surfaces.
    09 - Add Reflection Probes for realistic reflections.
    10 - Use the wet pavement effect to break up large areas in your renderings.

    The grass painting feature and not being able to use proxies are two weaknesses of this software that I've spotted in my time trying to get to know it. It does a lot of things that Enscape doesn't do, but those two features operate particularly well with Enscape, plus the learning curve is a fair bit steeper with Twinmotion

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think this is because it's built on the Unreal Engine paint tools, so it works the same way as those tools. From a proxies standpoint, are you having performance issues? Also, do you really find the learning curve with Twinmotion steeper than Enscape? Which part do you find more complex?

    • @3DGvisuals
      @3DGvisuals 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Thesketchupessentials Enscape is about as easy as it can possibly be I reckon, Twinmotion is less intuitive but it's still excellent though!

    Maybe it should be highlighted that these are all exteriro changes. I can relatively decent do exterior renders but I am struggling a bit making good interior renders as with the smaller scale then all smaller details etc becomes a bit noticeable and it often does not look great.

    Thinking of getting a second or even 3rd GPU. Does twinmotion support SLI rendering if I want to really speed up my 360 video rendering?

  • @Ecrious
    @Ecrious 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    My biggest problems with twin motion would first be the crashes. The second would be if the FoV is low for an elevation view (in built elevation not up to par) you can see faces behind it if they are to close together. The third being, lack of align tool. Lastly is revit linking and how it doesn’t save your material on object overrides on reload, same with import. Speaking of revit linking, the fact that you cannot edit the link like deleting object or Not being able to reload from within the program forces you to use the export Fbx / import rendering the option useless. These small things Add up to a very frustrating experience.

    Hi, I've checked your videos regarding your desktop setup, and I'm about to order a new iMac for my work with Twinmotion.
    I'm looking at the 2019 27' iMac i9 8core 3.6 Ghz.
    My question: Is it worth upgrading from the standard Radeon Pro 580x to the Pro Vega 48 graphics card? (+450$)
    Rendering times are not my primary concern, my focus is to get a better performance while live editing the TM projects.
    I'm working with fairly large exterior scenes with lots of trees and grass in Twinmotion that currently completely max out my current setup. (Crashes and low framerates even in the Low setting)
    Thank you very much, your videos helped me a lot so far.
