Thats where you stop before fishing at DelaCroix. Crab bait, live shrimp, pogies, mullet, the whole shebang.👍
Jared, Guy should make you an official spokesman for the parish. You have been representing it very well!
Thank you, yes Guy, the Council, and tourism department have all been very supportive
I know this is going to sound dumb but what exactly is a parish
@@jonasgeez2140pretty much like a part of town…..different places just have different names….. but I like the term parish more personally 😂😂
@@yanevaknow1017 oh ok cool thanks
@@jonasgeez2140 No problem
You have made me homesick! I live in Charlotte, NC!
Shrimps, Blue Crabs! Dem Redfish in there too!! Pattons Hot Sausage! OMG!! My family lives in Mereax! was there just a few months ago! Can't wait to get back!
Love me some shrimp, and I'm glad to see your cast net throwing is getting better. Did she say crawfish burger, man that looks good. Going to have to try it on my next visit to St. Bernard parish.
What's the fishing license situation for out-of-staters?
Gotta make you some fish meal mash. Form it into flat pancakes so wont catch i cadt net. Shrimp go nuts for it.
Hamburgers are my thing. That is beautiful!!!!
Watching you catch those shrimps made me want some so bad. Man, that burger looks so good. Enjoyed the video
Nice!
That burger looks incredible!
This is awesome! I love how you are helping to promote St. Bernard. I'll definitely be making a visit. Cheers to you and St. Bernard!
Almost road kill shrimp.! That was a good lookin burger too...
Thank you brother
Thank you brother
You got it going on. Watching romance Ruston Louisiana
thank you brother
Yea y'all killing me. Bait up that finger mullet and send it way out there. Not going to interfere with the cast netting as long as you got a dam good rod holder.
Catching those shrimp was crazy good with the cast net! That burger looked amazing! Thank you for sharing!! God bless
Thanks for watching
WoW Jared ,Percistants and a can Ol Roy got you to the Jumbos 🎉.
Great idea to get many Folk .
Mr couldnt stop smiling 🌞.
You the man 😊!!
JO JO IN VT 💞
Thank you my friend always appreciate your support
That is bucket list for me. I have to go there once in my life. Unbelievable nice show loved it.
You should!
Me too I'm in love with shrimp I Will sleep out there
I know what a Poggie is what is a "Stump Knocker"... hope I got that right. My Alabama vernacular doesn't include this species.
That’s what I’m talking about! Great video as usual. Glad the dog food worked out for y’all!
thank you my friend God bless
Hey Jared, Boy does dat burger look good!! I don't think I could even eat half of it. So many great tasting seafoods keeping me in Louisiana, why go anywhere else?? We have it all. ❣
Thank you 😋
I’m in Pasadena MD, last wknd, for a 16/20 count of shrimp, u nailed it, I paid $14 a pound. BOL
a couple questions........so....could there be a bull shark in this bayou....alligators?......what else?.....pythons?....
Thats so awsome you can just pull off the road throw a net n catch some shrimp
i feel if you let it sink to the bottom you would pull more. Ive been in hackberry the last two sundays and man we pulled over 50 pounds of shrimp each day. I throw and lett it sink down. Just saying.
Love how you are getting along with everyone. Definitely following.
At about 13:30 you see that small fish? Just gut it and heavily salt it, right on top and botom and leave out in the sun for 3 4 days under good anti fly netting, thqts what ruasian hillbillies snack on with beer. Try it with lke 10 of em. Up to the size of the palm. Sometimes the small fish have bones so tiny you can eat that for some extra calcium.
Enjoyed the video! Shrimp on a burger is weird though. Doesn’t sound like a good pairing.
Don't know how those mullet will taste over there. Here in Florida that's a staple. In my experience mullet that have spent a good amount of time in freshwater taste like oak leaves.
Why not u two bring rods and bait up cast out while cast netting? Bonus Redfish Gafftopsail something is in there after all that bait.
I keep one of those crawfish traps in my chicken coop. I've caught several chicken snakes with them things!
I think that roadside "ditch" is bayou lalutra, and runs all the way to the gulf of mexico.. ha
the nerve of that company to call their dogfood filet minon. POS company for sure
I looked at the thumbnail, & said, “Those shrimp are out of the bayou.”
That is insane shrimping for a road side! You definitely got them running, fall full moon they really go crazy, you got them
at the right time, that water looks like it is moving good too. Those are some nice size, perfect for all sorts of dishes,
we envy you but those squitos will tear into me like a fat girl at China buffet.
amen lol
Hello I'm a big fan new to your channel I used to live in Calcasieu parrish,I was little, CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON THROW YOUR CAST NET LIKE A TUTORIAL, YOU MAKE NICE THROWS BRO BE SAFE TY

Need to drive my ass down there from mandevile. Sick of rigolets.
Grew up in Bay St Louis but love Da Parish!
I just discovered your channel and have really been enjoying it. Just curious, but do you need a permit or license to catch shrimp and crabs?
You need a basic fishing license
Great videos, we're planning a trip to the St. Bernard area now after watching your shrimp and crab videos. Do you or do you know a video explaining the laws on recreational shrimping and catching crab and what fishing license would be needed? I'm from South Dakota so I definitely know nothing about catching crab or shrimp.
Hi my friend this video was from a year ago unfortunately I’m not promoting St Bernard any more. I can tell you everything you need to know about laws is available on the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries website. Hope that helps
Good content brother. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I lived in Chalmett about 20 years ago
Thats a big road side ditch. literally has its own current.
Done that for years love castneting for shrimp night time is better most of the time
That looked amazing brother
Sure did!
Those are nice shrimp , and catching them from the bank , really cool , havent been that way in a while , im from the westbank , good video thanks
Sounds like you are the spokesperson for St. Bernard. I'll be coming down in 2024
Thank you so much yes you will love it!
I live in the Philippines and would love to see you come here to show your viewers how shrimp and fish are farmed here in Asia and how unhealthy these products are compared to Fresh, natural Louisiana seafood!!
Man that’s a great idea. Please shoot me an email with details outsidethelevees@gmail.com
What net are you using? I need to get me one of those for baitfish.
Man some GOOD OL PHLEGMEGNON!!!! 😂

What is in the wry first cast net please
Damn dat burger look good.
Do you need a fishing license
What was wrong with his first cast?
Jared been wanting to tell you about the can dog food to catch shrimp with cast net we used Kam , and Kenlration, another thing we use is those small mud clams we got from Lake Leary they worked the best we would crack then put them im a small sack like crawfish sack cut down tie it with a rope anf throw it out tks for thr good video.
Ahhh-Eyyyy WOW So jealous over here in Seabrook, TX.
Amen come try it for yourself
What’s your technique for throwing a cast net? I want to learn to throw off my right side like that (like a forehand) instead of the backhand method.
Good catch ya bait and dinner
I need to go and see Chef Mader
What is your website
Man I was going to suggest you and Vinnie link up on the last video I watched of yours. I watch both of yalls channels and knew yall would be perfect for a team up video. Keep doing what yall doing.
Jerrod do a catch and cook with fried shrimp legs. I ate shrimp for 40 years and over night I became allergic to them 😢. Love your videos.
Hello there Jared just wondering what kind of shirp are they
white shrimp
Bubba would be so proud!
Awesome no need for a boat
Are gar fish good to eat?
Love the ability to live off the land, by pulling your truck over and casting a net!
That burger was killer.
Absolutely
Makes me want to load up an come on down , love those shrimp , they burger looks tasty too !
Old man Ernie!!
Definitely a sweet little spot I was there just this past Saturday we end up catching about a half of ice chest.
yes sir hope to see you out there sometime
what area is this? Ive been up and down lake Pontchartrain and haven't caught a single object. The birds keep winning
@@OutsidetheLevees shot you get me loading up the truck now and heading out there
Find a spot along Delacroix Highway as mentioned in the video. Make sure the tide is running though. You won't catch with no tide.
@@OutsidetheLevees yes definitely seems like it has to be running good to even if it is barely running you won't catch too many all beautiful shrimp to
Born and raised violation here! I lived at the end of Guerra drive by the levee up until Katrina.
"Ditch" 😅😅😅😅😅😅
I wish they would lower the price of the nonresident fishing license
dems was some big scrimps for sho!
Jumboooo
That fish sandwich looks delicious and I know it is 💯
Amen

Oh man, that first cast! Felt bad for you but had a good laugh too. Fish gills all caught in you net line 😂🤦♂️. Great video!
👍👍 Subscribed from Charleston SC

Every video I have watch this afternoon I’ve been the 301 person to watch. 1 or 2 videos ok but I think TH-cam is having a count problem today
Yes it is way past 301
I need you to mail me one of dem house burgers broooooooooo ❤😂😂😂😊
We hope to visit St. Bernard Parrish soon and get on some jumbos. Hopefully get to catch up with you one day also.
Man y’all better not come down and not see me!
The galvanized minnow traps will out fish the black ones every time. Don't know what the difference is but the galvanized ones always have worked better for me.
interesting
WHat's a stump knocker?
Got it. Sunfish.
Oh cher!!
Where is St. Bernard? What state is it in?
Louisiana
Jared, serious question from me this time...lol so if i come down to fish for catfish, crab and shrimp what type of fishing license do i need to get for a 3 day out of town senior?
You will need a basic saltwater I’m not sure if they do 3 day or not but you can daily also not sure if there’s a senior discount. Try calling Louisiana Department of Wildlife and fisheries for best details
OMG looks amazing. My shrimper brother in law needs to step up his game.
Lol. Thank you my friend!
Only came in here to tell you and Vinnie are good dudes. So glad everyone else felt the same way.
God bless
Im glad to see Vinnie got a new cast net. Man great video and that burger though.
My man! Come see us next time
Great video Jared. You represent the Parrish in a way that should make them proud.
