Hello Ola, honestly considering the time and the nerves you had, you knew how to take advantage of the time and ask simple and entertaining questions, thank you!
The best thing about this interview is that Ola is getting interviews with his idols and heroes from his teenage years. That says alot about his own succes and achivements.

Musicians interviewing musicians makes for WAY better interviews than random "reporters" or "journalists" or whatever. At least for me. I'd much rather hear about guitars and effects and such than almost anything else.
I agree. I always like it better when the interviewer is a musician himself, but not only because of questions about equipment, but also because their questions are always more interesting: They usually avoid stupid questions that musicians are asked thousands of times and are more interested in musicians as ordinary people, rather than as "celebrities". As a result, the conversation turns out to be more friendly and honest.
Right? Olas not asking dumb questions. You can tell when musicians are tired of people asking the same stereo typical questions they've answered a million times.

I also saw them on that tour. They opened for Megadeth and I believe Fear Factory and Flotsam and Jetsam were on that bill as well? This band meant so much to me in Middle and High School and it makes me so proud to see what this band means to the newer generation. They truly have achieved legendary status.

@@mattsonrobbins281 I saw them for the 3rd time last year in Oct and the audience was a huge mixed bag of generations from Gen X to Z and some even younger.

I was lucky enough to do a show with them back in 09 @ halos and horns festival. Some of the nicest down to earth guys ever. @Ola Englund, Glad to got to meet and have sometime with your idols!!! Awesome video!!
This interview really helped. Like Ola, I loved Korn as a teenager and got a lot from them, but I quit playing music at 30 (I'm a vocalist and guitarist) - now almost 10 years later I want to play music again but, well, I'm not as angry or shouty as I once was. So the idea of channelling that darkness into creativity without having to dwell and live in it, that has really inspired me. Cheers Ola!
Got to see them again not too long ago and they're still killing it. Not terribly into their newer stuff, Requiem is enjoyable, but their classics undeniably changed music (for better or worse depending on how you feel). As they mention, they seem to have found a certain peace in their age and cleaning up. It shows in their live show as well.
Hell yeah from New England...I saw Korn in 1995 in Tucson Arizona when they were touring their first album...In those days nobody was doing what Head and Monkey were doing on 7 string...I also saw them at Woodstock 99 and they slayed it...thx Ola for this awesome vid .. Peace from the Northeast...

Dude!! What an awesome experience, I feel so happy seeing you achieving this king of things, talking with so many legends and people that means so much to you (and me as well) keep it up man, you are a true inspiration, as I said, it makes me really happy. Big cheers!!
I haven’t really followed Korn in a long time, but I always try to watch as much Ola vids as I can to stay current. I loved the way they cheered at your news of joining the Haunted. That was genuine wholesome content. 😎👌

Love to see Korn still going - Crazy to think I listened to them when I was in 5th or 6th grade around 25 years ago, they have been at it almost my entire life.
I started listening to korn in about '96 and was blown away by their sound and originality. Then about '99 I purchased an rg7420 to explore some tonal depths and never looked back..lol
These guys provided the soundtrack to my teenage years - glad they’re still doing their thing , it would also be sick if Munky gets a signature Bareknuckle set 🤘🏼

Glad he's happy with ESP.
For me the most influential guitar players in modern metal half of 90's and 2000's and up was:
1. Munky
2.Head
3. Wes Borland
4. Tom Morello
5. Stephen Carpenter
Wes Borland is amazing. He really found a sound.
I would go for
1. Thordendal
2. Dimebag
3. IA
4. Cederlund
5. Trey
Adam Jones definitely belongs on that list for me. Not so much now, but 90s for sure!
In this time for me and my life I have grown to fear when I am uninspired to play and move forward in music, and I have seen your videos around but it wasn't until like this last week that I have really genuinely enjoyed watching your videos. I am never going to quit or anything and I don't know where life is going to take me but your content has become fuel for me. I just want to thank you and of course korn because, I mean come on.. but seriously thank you and can't wait to watch more of your stuff whether it be past or future I know I'll look forward to it because I love melting faces.
Great video 🤘🏽 Korn has been one of my favorite bands since I was a kid. I’m glad they are still making music.
munky seems like that one really knowleagable who lvoes talking while brian seems really quiet but isnt scared to say something or intervene really chill individuals
Awesome stuff Ola. I discovered your channel a few weeks back and I love your personality, sense of humour and your knowledge 🤘
Being able to tap into certain emotions to get inspired but not get stuck there is a wonderful thing. Nice talk :)
Love Korn. These dudes are an amazing example of overcoming self hatred and self harm and addiction and becoming happy people and STILL playing some heavy ass tunes 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I started listening Korn at the age of 9. Now I'm 25 and I'm still unrealistically a fan of them. Thanks for the interview Ola!
Gran entrevista Ola, que sujetos más simpáticos! Buen trabajo
It made me happy when I first saw how passionate Head is about following God. I hope he keeps that passion and spreading the gospel.
Great little interview man, really natural and honest. It's nice to see a true fan excited to meet their idols!
Absolutely love this band, my favorite ever KoRn
Even though I’m not a Korn fan, this is one of the best interviews ever IMHO. Awesome Ola. Well done dude.
I met Munky in 98 and he was a really nice dude. Nice to see he hasn’t changed.
I'm 18 years old, I love korn and I'm glad to see that they're doing well and still rocking🤘🤘
Not really a huge Korn fan but I respect their approach to music and their candor with the interviewer.
Literally was screaming like a little girl at their Knoxville concert. Few months back. Will always have the memory of a Girl I had a crush on in middle school knew I liked her so she gave me a korn cd. Didn't even know who they were before her. To this day I still rock and love Korn. She and korn changed my life forever.
Wow ola thats was so awesome you are so blessed to sit with the godfathers of downtuned heavy metal they are the pioneers of the genre imo wow thank you for sharing this video. Btw they really seem chill and down to earth. Freaking awesome man keep up the good work. Long live the chug!
This was f’n sic! When interviewer really knows what is going on it makes Korn guy`s relaxed and open about stuff.
Great interview! They really sound like the music vets they are. The last bit was cool when they were impressed that you play for The Haunted.
That "Will. It. Chug!" Made me smile
One of the best bands that has also quite easy tunes to learn... so many kids still today are learning their songs... these songs never force you to practice 10 hours a day... . I will always love them.
I love the enthusiasm from those guys in regards to you telling them about your spot in The Haunted
No Way!! My three favourite guitarists together for an interview! Thankyou for bringing us this vid Ola!
James, IS the back bone of the Korn sound, and an insanely underrated player.
I could listen to these three nerd out over guitars and bands for hours. Great interview.
Yes...I think it's time to see MASTODON in this channel!
I love how korn is getting their second coming. Getting popular with the younger crowd via tiktok, it's almost like theyre new again. And as a fan for 20 years, that makes me happy
Love this guys. Korn got me into metal and I still get excited every time they release a new album. Glad to know Jonathan is doing well too.
Man this took me back to my teen years too. They’re as great live now as 20 years ago. So great.
So glad you got some time with them. Happy to make it happen. Cheers man!!
Seems to be very happy and nice guys!
Also very sweet that they got so happy when you told them that you joined the Haunted 😎
Great vid as always! Can’t wait to see if this becomes a series. If it does, you should call it “10 Minutes Alone With (whoever you’re interviewing)”, as a small tribute to Pantera
Seeing how relaxed they are and how well they interact with each other is inspiring.
Man, you made the most of that 10minutes! Great interview!! You can tell that the guys were really cool and appreciated where you come from as well. Well done, Ola!!
That is an awesome interview.
So happy for these guys and all the mainstream success they’ve had - they deserve it
I like it when bands tell what bands they're listing to, it makes us curious and go check those bands too it's like a peaceful world where everybody are friends with everybody.
I'll just share: Esoteric album by Urbandub and Better Days by Franco, he's got albums too. ✅🎧 great vlog sir Ola.
Brian def looks like he would rather be somewhere else. James is being super cool. Brian is right,,,,,"Look at the world!!!". Thanks Ola, Thanks Korn! Super Kool!
So suprised and shocked you manage to talk to them! KoRn is one of THIS band for me too. They first albums ('til Issues) were for me the base ground for music I listen and play and they keep inspiring me. Cool interview! WILL-IT-CHUG!!
