- Had Slash over for a brief interview(he's a very busy man). Got to ask about his new album Orgy of The Damned (out 17th of May), about the new digital era of guitar playing etc. An absolute honor to have him over!

1st here, Pin me Ola !!!
Thanks Ola !! Love your content ❤
Pause...
REALLY needy, huh?
@@ramonzeira yeah, i will never understand the need for this kind of attention... as if there is nothing else in life...
@@ramonzeira c'mon, let him have his moment
I like to see Ola pretending to be calm
Occasionally he can't contain his giggly fanboy self and I love it
Ola was shitting his pants. But, hey he got Slash to do it, Awesome!
Jajajajajaja
Barely
Who wouldn’t be excited. Ola’s always genuine, it’s part of his charm
This represents a breakthrough into popular culture Ola! Slash was one of the first guitar players that inspired me to finger the G string 🎸
Muhahahah
no way its shreadmasterscott
love your content man
uhhahahahahahaha . . . . . . .
I learned guitar first.
The g strings and the fingering came subsequently.
I see what you did there… 😆😆
No Fucking Way! Dude It's Slash! Holy Shit!
Would have died if ola said do you mind taking those clunky brackets off.
Took the words right out of my mouth.

Dude... You lucky get, man!!!! 🤘🤘
Nice slash is my fav guitar player
saludos desde buenos aires
did slash buy a solar guitar or at least a hoodie? he should have!
Nice job Ola!
No fuckin way! The dude who first made me fall in love with guitar, talking with the dude who made me fall in love with the guitar again!
✅ Ola interviews Slash
✅ Slash listens to Gojira
🙋I can shut my computer off and wish you a good weekend.
Fair play to Ola for interviewing this up and coming blues guitar player. He looks a lot like the guitar player that inspired me to start playing..
With a little practice, this kid could really go places
Reminds me of that Kravitz guy ... 😂
I love that Slash mentioned that he's listening to Chris Buck. Slash inspired Chris to play guitar and now Slash listening to Chris.
I got into guitar last year and my cousin recommended I check out Chris Buck. He really does seem to be a cut above the other guitar content creators.
Chris is a wad
Chris and Slash have played together a few times in the past u can look for it on youtube they are buddies
I picked that too when he mentioned Chris Buck.
A great guitarist in his own right.
@@campy3888 it's because Chris is a musician first who's always played in bands. His band, Cardinal Black have just finished a year touring and are recording their second album. They were number 1 in the rock charts with their first album too.
TH-cam is simply an extra platform for him.
He is definitely NOT a TH-camr
With all that talent, fame and fortune, you would have thought it would have gone to his head by now, but SLASH is still as COOL as ever!
He’s NOT Gene Simmons. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some musicians do have their heads on straight 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
@@billyc6678 lol!
Brits with a working class background will always have that down to Earth nature about them
@@Vivi_9 Liam Gallagher would like a word...
Holy shit slash!!
highly overrated guitarrist
@mememetal666 Why... because he doesn't play sweeped arpeggios, and flaunt skill endlessly?
I don't even like Gn'R, and think this is a bs take.
Platinum selling rock/metal artists, of the physical sales era, are not "overrated"? Not everybody wants to listen shred instrumentals and metal 24/7. Some people enjoy variation in life... maybe like more than one genre
@@mememetal666 underrated if anything
for those who are curious, those glasses are actually glued to his face.
Just the other day I saw the making of the new album video with Slash, in that he was not wearing the glasses. In my opinion, without the glasses, he is way more good looking. :)
I don't think wearing sunglasses almost all the time even in moderatly lit environments does his eyes good.
Slash and his Les Pauls single handedly inspired MILLIONS of people around the world to pickup and learn guitar. He is the definition of a guitar god!
And... his top hat
Perhaps a guitar - hero.
Slash has always been the same Slash, just has always seemed like one of the nicest most down to Earth Rockstars.
And Kirk!
No fucking way! Ola you are a legend I can't believe you even got him in he's always double busy.
This guy was / is in what used to be pretty much the biggest rock band in the world for a while and seems to be so laid back, humble and down to earth. Super cool and also killer guitar player with absolutely great sense for melody. legend!
«New metallica was effin amazing» *Ola nods politely*
😂
I love this album too 😢
@@Sispheor I don’t hate it. But it’s not effin amazing 😅
A great album
@@TheTomarild A totally valid opinion from an actually experienced musician.*
Wow, never would have thought Slash would be on Coffee with Ola. Great job on the interview!
Caught Slash in San Antonio for the GNR show, he has always been a great player and even to this day he has still got it.
Meh, he's incredibly sloppy live. In the studio he's written some of the best solos there are. Live he lives a lot to be desired. Probably partly because his studio stuff is so good.
@@Cheximus being a sloppy performer who still sounds good and writes banger songs and solos is way better than being a tight shredder who can't write to save their lives
@@Vivi_9 Ok, and? Why are you arguing with yourself?
@@Cheximus just dismissing your needless first sentence
@@Vivi_9 you're not dismissing it. You're creating an argument out of thin air. 😂 The internet in a nutshell.
At this point, I dunno how Ola could top this, or find anybody better to interview.
Probably Hetfield, i guess...
Dimebag Darrell
Mustaine for the lolz, hed never do it, but it would be fun haha
@@budleysulterton7931 that's fucked up
Hetfield!
Two guitarists one cup
Even though I’ve listened to Slash during the GN&R days, never watched him on an interview and I’m extremely impressed of his humility and the ease of conversation with him. What a class act, thanks for having him over Ola.
SLASH: My favorite guitarist!
Slash is my inspiration for playing guitar, thank you Ola for invite him 😃
I saw yesterday Slash with Myles Kennedy concert. Today Slash is here with Ola. Great!
Fucking Awesome!! "Not an interviewer, just a guitar player" two things I can't agree with you on. You are a brilliant interviewer, you let the guests talk and they are immediately at ease which makes these some of the best interviews to watch ever. The 'Just a guitar player' needs 'an inspirational guitar player' added. This was epic, thank you Ola!
When I was a kid Slash was my biggest hero , even when it wasn’t cool to like rock n roll because of grunge. I always thought I’d wake up and hear he had died because of his life style like all the other greats before him. I’m so happy he’s doing so much and been going nonstop for so long. I hope he never loses the passion. What an amazing journey it’s been.
Amazing! Saw him live last week, such a humble guy and still as cool as 20 years ago
Slash is simply incredible!
Ola started a bit starstruck, but than did a very cool interview! Slash is such a relaxed guy!
Poor Slash. He hates the attention, but no one can help being nervous around him. Seems like he's used to it though
I saw him with the conspirators in London and it was one of the best gigs i've ever witnessed, so cool to see him on your channel!
This is Slash casually sitting in his studio.
Slash is legend. His solo from the song November rain always in my heart/
That is a grand and epic solo!!
Hell Yes 🔥Slash goes ALL the way back for me growing up playing guitar. Incredible ❤🔥
Wow! How amazing. Slash is so low key. Love it. Thank you.
Legendary. Good job Ola. Props on nailing that interview and mad respect to Slash for listening to Metallica, Megadeth and Gojira.
Whoa dude! Ola's in the jungle, baby.
Wow what a way to start the weekend!
Holy shit, Slash!!! Really proud of Ola's growth. I've been following the channel since forever and it doesn't get bigger than this. Well... It does. Sooner or later he will have a coffee with James Hettfield and then he can shut off the channel and die happy 🙂
Cool interview,
Love Slash
He’s so nice and easy going, very awesome of him to have Coffee with Ola.
The final character ❤
Slash got me into guitar and Ola thought me how to program drums back in the ez drummer days.
What a beautiful interview
Slash is a legend.
I love these interviews. They are never boring and feel very natural. You let your guests talk about more about their passions then the basic stuff you normaly hear.🤘
Awesome to see Slash on Coffee With Ola! He sounds like the cool, laid back, polite, and friendly guitarist version of Steven Seagal
So proud of you good buddy Ola! There is no going up from this. 😍
Ola looked nervous af lol that's okay, I would be too!!!
I noticed that instantly also, Ola drinks a fu*k load of coffee so there's that XD
No way, it's Slash! Thanks for doing this one, Ola!
Niceee! Hope to see Slash playing a Solar in the stage in the future!
@Playerthegamer21 He plays Bc Rich too
@Playerthegamer21 He plays Bc Rich too
@Playerthegamer21 its basically his image...kinda like Mustaine with his V or Hetfield with explorers...probably has a contract that says what he can and cant play
Dude, congrats on getting SLASH on your show. Holy sh*t man...
I met Slash back in '96. He was so down to Earth and easy going. A real cool cat!!!
Coffee with Ola but no one has coffee...EVER! "No COFFEE with Ola" 😂
(Lack of) coffee with Ola
The reason I started playing guitar! My first "heavy" CDs I bought was the Use Your Illusion I & II set back in the days. Awesome to see him on the channel! Great work!
This is almost surreal. What a great interview.
Slash my guitar hero 👏🎸🤘 Ola respect 👍
Wow didn't see that one coming! Slash rules!
Great interview! This was making me think how it would be if Slash and Gary Moore and maybe also some of the old Deep purple/Whitesnake guys would make an blues album toghetether...
Wow! Slash! OMG! such a legend! On another hand you look like a 10 year old kid who just met his super-hero. Kudos on this one!
Slash, living legend !
He still holds his hand as if he had a cigarette haha
Yes, ive noticed that too. Its an habit now, i now believe maybe thats why he uses thick rings, just to feel something between his fingers and like stimulation the habit to cope.
Probably because he smoked a million + cigarettes
Slash is a god damn legend and one of the dudes that inspired me to pick up a guitar as a kid. It's really great to see him on the show! Congrats, Ola and welcome, Slash!
To add to the old school tube amp vs new age plugin debate: Another reason why old school is "more unique" is because there's more variables which means more chances to make a mistake. It is in these mistakes that discoveries are made and new sounds are created.
Slash is one of the few "BIG" stars that comes up here(Missoula, Montana)to play.
Slash is a great human being. It's always great to see a Guitar legend/Rockstar with a big heart. Huge respect from India. Big fan here. 💯👏
Hard rock royalty! Gun's n Roses was one of my first band obbssesion as a kid. Very cool Ola thanks heaps!
he is a legend.... i would get so nervous... i would be so star struck
A new level has achieved, awesome Ola. Waiting to see Papa Het
Slash is a super-talented megastar and also refreshingly cool and down-to-earth. Great interview!
Ola's coffee brings the best to the yard! 😂
Good watch!
I didn’t see any coffee😂
7:34 "I don't enjoy messing with knobs and all that" said one of the biggest rock star in the history.
I'm sure these words will literally change how I view my guitar journey. I was always put off by the guitar/amp electronics. I always just enjoy playing. But I felt guilty for not liking it or utilising knobs and all the possible settings
At this point, I think famous artists are lining-up to be on Ola's talk show.
That's how famous Ola is now. Ola is the Jay Leno of the guitar world.
Wow I’m suprised how together he is honestly. Great job getting clean brother. Best thing you ever did 😇🫶🏽💯legend
I don't think I've ever seen Slash interviewed before tbh... I was pleasantly surprised by how talkative and nice he was, not at all "rockstar" like :)
WoW ! His story about the solo in Wicked Stone he did in Paris is amazing ! I was just in front of him 2nd row and he blew us away. What a prodige !
It's funny how you can tell Ola is nervous, but he did a great job!
It’s Sunday morning and I’m having coffee with Ola and Slash
Thank you both
Amazing interview! Thanks to Slash for stopping by “our” (I mean Ola’s?) humble channel to chat!
The man, the myth, the legend; Ola Englund.
Very cool to see you give this Slash guy a spot on the show.
😉
that is so cool! SLASH!
Awesome interview. Can’t wait to hear the new album.
That's the best One yet!!!!!🔥🎸🔥
Ola that was really good 2 guys talking music artists and guitars and no inane questions
You’re both stars !!👍👍👍
Awesome, the main man.
What I love about Slash is how down to earth, normal he is.
En intervju du har förtjänat efter alla dessa år på TH-cam! 😁
My number 1 guitarist, the reason I actually play the guitar and listen to Rock. That was so great! Nice chat.
I was expecting some making of, maybe Slash playing a Solar, testing your gear, your tone.
Who else was expecting something like that?
Best interview I’ve seen with slash. Thanx ola
I like that Axl filled in when Brian was having hearing trouble to help AC/DC and the Brian helped slash with his Orgy of the Damned too.
WHAT THE HELL THAT'S AWESOME
Awesome interview. When they played Live at The Ritz in 88 on Headbangers Ball I was so blown away. Slash is a legend!
I was there!!! It was epic!!
He must be exhausted with 3 different projects at the same time and always doing something.
I bet, however there comes inertia with all that momentum haha. Some people really enjoy that style of life too.
I was 12 years old when Appetite for Destruction came out. I about wore that tape out. Great interview!
A.I Generated! Come on Ola, I'm sending this to be analyzed for authenticity. 😆
Waooo, the legendary Slash, really good job Ola. Thanks to him, it was so cool, good interview. 👍👍👍, not enough, 👍👍👍
Slash seems like a dude ya could just hang with and chill.
Man comes across humble and cool.
Then he gets on a private jet and goes home to his mansion
@@stephenh.4476 Which is why its surprising he was so humble and chill.
Slash is kindhearted and humble.. cool too.. amazing human being 🌟💫🌟
@@stephenh.4476you know this for a fact? Did he not work for what he has? Did he beg on the streets? Stop!!!
@stephenh.4476 he may go home to his mansion now, but during the recording of Appetite for Destruction he was basically homeless. The most consistent place he slept was in the storage unit where they rehearsed
Oh man…. Ola I think this might be your most famous guest. Well done. Effin Slash, so cool as always. Ola you’re cool too. 😊
give that man a guitar
No shit huh,give him a SOLAR 🎸
The guy is an absolute legend and he’s always totally cool and laid back. No attitude or bs ego trips at all.
Who's cooler than Slash? No one.
Ola is a brilliant interviewer. Super cool how many things he got Slash to talk about.
Well done gentlemen.
Mr Hat in the coffehouse!
