I bought mine in 2009 as well. I just sold it last week after a decade of riding it. Was a pretty nice bike. I even put on some soft saddle bags, tail bag, tank bag, tent, and sleeping back and did a week long tour from WV to the Blue Ridge in VA down to Cherokee in TN around the Smoky Mountains, up the Tail of the Dragon and all the way back to Charleston WV on the bike and it did perfectly fine....although my butt was hurting by the end :)
It's great fun on the twisties too. I have ridden it on the highway and it is perfectly fine running at 70-80 all day. But like any naked bike, highway riding can be tiring due to the wind. The new z650 by Kawasaki is basically an updated er6n version. I haven't gotten a bike to replace the er6n I just sold yet but thinking about the SV650 or the MT07

SV650, all day every day. The MT07 is a fun and nice bike, do not get me wrong, but the charisma of the SV650 is so much better.

Do you think this is a good beginners bike? I have my license for over 1.5 years but i have not ridden a bike for a very long time. I am used to the MT07 and its power. Do you maybe think it is in the same category? Thanks for reply . Im from The Netherlands

@@privateaccount1366 The z650 (new version of the er6n), MT07, and SV650 are all in the same category. The MT07 is a bit lighter and has a bit more torque while the SV650 is about 30 lbs heavier and is supposed to have a smoother power delivery.

It would work for you. I weigh more and around the same height and it did great. You would fit a bit snug in the legs though.
