Hi Pat, I only came across your videos last week and can't stop watching them, I'm working my way through them bit by bit, brilliant commentary and knowledge and excellent footage on your own. I'm into exploring, photography, and own an old Sierra cosworth which is great fun and a Honda cbr 600. You are a breath of fresh air from all the reality programs and rubbish on TV, extremely watchable and natural. Thankyou for your time making the videos and the brilliant editing. Would enjoy a pint in the pub with you but I'm 90 miles from peak district. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Thanks really appreciate your comments and we have similar interests. A Sierra Cosworth , wow a car to dream about, some great power there. You never know one day you may bump into me in a pub and we can enjoy that pint together, all the best Pat
Just bought one of these bikes. Same colour as this . I’m 55 and just passed test and live in Sheffield and love the Peak District.loving your videos pat.
Thanks Mark, went through same few years back, I like to learn new things, I did sell my bike a couple years ago, just not using it, may get another one day.... thanks Pat

Your a true legend ! First class in everything you do ! ☺️
Thanks for taking the time to make this film. Really enjoyed it. Watched some of your wild camping films with interest too. Please do a few more biking films. Regards from sunny Skegness
Dave Wilson Hi Dave nice to hear from Skeggy, enjoyed making this film just don,t seem to have time to ride my bike so much these days, too many other interest, but still have it and get out when I can, all the best Pat
thanks for the reply. . really made me want to get another bike after watching this, went to my local dealer and picking up my gsr600 this Saturday ! Happy days
hi glen thought I had replied , yep its great to have a bike even if you only use it occasionally its there ready to be ridden when ever you want. Thanks for watching Pat
Hi, pat just watching your site, the run you did round derwent I did this run two years ago .what a lovely ride it is round the derwent on bmw 1200gs can’t wait to move back home ,keep them coming don’t stop you are the best site that I found.norm.
+Enzo Vaerewyck Hi Enzo I keep trying different things like biking ,kayaking train travel but always return to wild camping, its my favorite hobby. Just need extra hours in the day to fit it all in. Thanks for watching and comments Pat
I happened to come across your channel only this week Pat and I'm hooked. Yeah I'm a biker and it's my main passion in life. I have to thank you for this upload as being Preston based I tend to ride Yorkshire and the Dales of Yorkshire and the Lake District too. This upload of yours has got me thinking about riding the Peak District because those views are just something else ( beautiful) so having my bike serviced this week and the weather looking promising for next week, it will be a 6.am start from Preston and the Peak District it is. Many thanks Pat for this 👍🏻
Hi Dave, yes the Peak District is a great area to ride, afraid it is very busy at the moment, so many people who would of travelled abroad on holiday are in the Peak District, week days are not too bad, but I would steer clear of the weekends, all the best Pat
Patrick Dickinson, thanks Pat, oh yeah I only ride Monday through to Friday as I'm now retired and don't ride at weekends as like you say, roads far to busy
Hi Pat. Saw this vid a few days ago and it kept playing in my head. There is something very charming, honest and inspiring about it.Ran thru your channel and saw some lovely camping stuff. I wish you many glorious years out in the sun. Hoping to see more ridin videos from you. Subscribed. God bless.
Hello Siddharth thanks for your kind comments, the channel is basically about wild camping near where I live in Sheffield but keep putting a few different videos on. Might try another riding video, thanks for watching and comments Pat
Fantastic video Patrick. I love the Peak District too, and go there as often as I can on my Kawasaki zx6r. Next time I go I'll look for some of those roads you went on. Thanks again for the video. Great job.
+Matt Roberts Hi Matt Yep we are lucky to have the beautiful Peak District to ride in, some great roads and views, glad spring is on the way so I can get out a bit more on the bike. Thanks for watching Pat
+falsepod Hi there, not sure what happened to vid seemed OK when first put on but now gone a bit weird, not sure if I can correct it. Makes you feel a bit high when look at it. Anyway thanks for comments Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Thank you. Best wishes to you too Pat. I'll have to do a bit of motorcycling in the Peak after enjoying the scenery in your film. You have inspired me to go camping again after at least 28 years away from it. I've bought some new gear apart from my 1980's tent and camped on the Isle of Wight with my border collie in 2020 - great fun. Would you tell me how to wild camp - do you have to get permission or is it a case of no mess, no damage, no problem? Take care and keep safe.
Great video.I am a 53 year old late starter and now live in Thailand.I also own a black ER6N and agree, it is a wonder way to get around. Your landscape is magnificent.I also had Capri.Stay safe and have fun.
+GTR MAN Hi there and thanks for your comments, I bet you have better weather for biking than we have here, although we have some beautiful countryside. My Capri was the best car I ever owned 8 years and 140,000 miles sorry when it had to go. anyway thanks for watching and safe biking. Pat
Great vid Patrick... Nice too see yr new venture.. As bikers for yrs made a nice change and the bike was ideal for you.. Happy days.. Look forward too more if you can fit in nxt spring along with the pub and tap room and dancing 🎶.. Merry Xmas to you and yrs and thanks Pat lv Ali /R...
Hi Ali, enjoying my break from TH-cam, although still busy with various things, the bike was great fun, although I did sell it a couple of years ago, keep thinking I might get another one day, enjoy Christmas and all the best for next year......Pat
Hi Pat, What a great photo of your Capri. That was my first car, unfortunately it went up in flames!! I'm not into bikes nonetheless I can see the attraction living near to the peak district. You took some good video on the move. Very enjoyable to watch, thank you. Good luck from Spain!!
Hi David, yes the Capri was my favourite car, was and always will be, got me into quite a bit of trouble mind you, but your only young once...... thanks Pat
Loved it. I miss riding. Had to let go of one old, Kawasaki GS 450 (1986) Lmtd. edition. Loved it while I had it. I also had a smaller Suzuki 450. Thanks for the beautiful ride. Take care.
Hi pat a classic bike the Bonneville I think they still do the Bonneville in a modern triumph, nice that they kept that classic name alive, all the best Pat
Hi, have been watching your wild camping videos and came across the bike one. Its a great bike and perfect for the Peak District. I live in the IOM and brought my bike over to stay at Upper booth camp site near Edale. It was May last year and it was nice and quiet.Fell in love with the area and will definitely come back. I walked to the Middletons farm from the TV series. Please do more bike vids. I have also camped near Carsington Water a couple of years ago on my bike and did some fly fishing. Went walking there too and came across a quiet village with a very old pub where all the beer was served direct from the barrel!!
Hi Philip yes the Peak District has a lot to offer great biking roads, camping and walking and a lot of nice pubs. A few times when I tried to park at Edale they were filming for the Village TV series, whether it will continue I,am not sure. I have been to a couple of very old pubs in area, Three stags Head at Wardlow Mires is like going back 100 years and the one you mention might be the Yew Tree Inn at Couldon which again is like going back in time as pub is full of old gear pianos farm machinery. May film bike ride again, all the best Pat
Hi Pat. I thought I had watched all of your videos but I just stumbled over this one. Nice countryside. I can tell you had the instinct for video production even in your early days but have refined your skills greatly, since. I admire your supple mind which is not afraid to keep learning. Easy on the firewater and keep that fine mind nimble. Hope you are doing well navigating clear of the pandemic. I see your pub video is at 98k views. That is due to your great skills as a natural engineer and not so much due to your swallowing skills. 😉 Take care.
Thanks for those comments, like they say practice makes perfect, and I,am learning all the time, with new techniques and new equipment. It would appear that beer and anything to do with it is a very interesting to a !of of people, learning to to take it in moderation, some of the time, all the best Pat
Finally caught up with this one Patrick, enjoyed it. I’ve just bought a Royal Enfield 350 Classic ‘reborn’ perfect for home in Cumbria and the Lake District.
Hi Adrian, I did sell my bike a couple of years a go, just not using it, but your 350 sounds a lovely bike ,classic lines and just right for pottering about those country lanes........ thanks Pat
Hi Nick congrats on passing your test, I found the ER6 a great bike as not too physically big and easy to maneuver but still got plenty of power, enjoy your new bike all the best Pat
Nice sporty bike Pat.. fits you well.. no other feeling in the world than on a bike and in the elements... great countryside you have over there.. perfect for biking!!
Hi Pat , I've watched some of your wild camping vids , just came across this ,didn't realise you were a biker as well. Have you still got your bike ?. Peak District is a Gem on our doorstep , beautiful place . I've got a Suzuki Bandit 600 and me and my son get round the Peaks at every opportunity he's got a Fazer 600. Bet your 67 ? ...now , I'm 67 this year but love the bike . Look after yourself mate ,will look out for you .
Yes 67, where did it all go, I did sell my bike a few years ago, I just wasn't using it enough, not saying I won't get another one day....... thanks Pat
Wild camping AND biking, you're a man after my own heart. I have a Triumph Tiger XC, so comfy. We have great roads up here as well as great hills. Mind you looking at your vid, I think the Peak District has the edge when it comes to the roads. Great video.
Hi Andy and thanks for comments yes biking and camping two great ways to pass your time outdoors, hoping to get out wild camping this coming week but something usually gets in the way, wife , sons etc, but its looking good up to now, thanks for watching Pat
Hi Pat, beautiful bike and beautiful place to live. I'm just restoring my 1974 honda cb500 four, and somewhere i have some very old super 8 cine film of my friend and I riding pillion and filming the (silent) experience :-) great video, a pleasure to watch. I'm looking forward to watching the rest as i work my way through and some new releases as you do them. Keep up the good work, best regards, Rob.
Cheers, Pat. I was going to do a lad of cleaning today, but seeing this makes me want to go and dig one of my classic bikes out and bugger off up there instead! Not yer usual, and no worse for it too, pal. Looks like it was a very calm day, the steam rising in the distance over Sheffax way going straight up- do you know from whence it comes? (I know it ain't Wards brewery! Or, God forbid, Stones or Whitbread!). When I lived in Manchester, I used to just jump on my bike and head east, just for the fun of it, no real destination, but usually having a look at bits the railway used to take me whilst at work, to see from the other side of the fence, like. Also, many a pub stop was made, most of the pubs having gone now....... Happy memories made, should have taken more pics when I had the gear and time. Especially when there was still industry and we still made stuff. I love the industrial landscape more than the countryside, TBH, but it's gone, and now the green stuff appeals as well, so thats OK then, lol. Also the roads were quieter and less stressful too and not as many idiots on them. Or speed cameras. Or traffic calming. Or 101 other modern measures to take the gloss of it.Dig the Capri too, mate. BITD I hated them, but not now- I could live with one for sure. bet you wish you still had it in the garage? Ah well,,,,, where's me mop an' bucket..............!
Nice to hear from you and very nice words, not sure we're the smoke comes from, as you now not a lot of industry left. It's great just to ride round the countryside just for the fun of it, and the freedom of the open road, great words from you, all the best Pat
The pleasure is mine, sir. I did indeed go to dig a bike out but took the wrong battery with me so failed to launch! Wot a mug, eh. Yep, just riding for the fun of it, did a lot BITD. Funny how it nearly always brought me to 't'wrong side o'thill'! Golden days for sure.
Hi Pat. You look good on your bike you have all the gear to enjoy your beautiful district such picturesque You cheer me up. Great Caprice photo yes you are demon wicked all the best Craig
+Lazycamper1 WHITE Thanks for comments Craig the bike has certainly made a exciting way of seeing the Peak District should of got one years ago all the best Pat
Hi Pat just started watching your videos I'm also from Sheffield down the road at Totley I know the Burbage corner well and been around it many times the view when you look left towards Fox House is one of my favourites, I also had a Capri in the early 80's mine was a 2.0s my cousin had a 3.0 Ghia which was fun especially in the wet!!! We also spent some great times in the peaks around Edale on the enduro bikes we had at the time I had a Honda XR200 my cousin had a Suzuki PE175... happy days, where has the time gone
Hi Steve yes time just flies by, used to enjoy a pint in the Fleur at Totly, long since gone and then up to Fanny,s the nightclub at Owler Bar just in case other people are reading this. Lived at Lodge Moor with my parents then and visited all the pubs between Cross-pool and Totley. Not far away at Ecclesall and still visit the same pubs, happy days, all the best Pat
+walter inacio jr carvalho Hi walter nice to hear from you ,yes it was a great day out and the scenery was fantastic. looking forward to winter and hope to go camping in the snow. Thanks for watching and all the best Pat
+Rise4justice hi there yep the area is great to ride walk and camp in, if you walk the remote areas you don,t see a soul all day. Thanks for watching Pat
Hi Alan does,nt time fly it only seems like yesterday we were just starting out in life getting jobs learning to drive going to the pub withy your mates then suddenly , we,ve finished work and wondering were did it all go, Still getting out with my mates from all that time ago so everything is fine, thanks for watching and comments Pat
+Glen Whyte Hi Glen most of my videos are on wild camping so thought I,d do something different also bike just adds another interest and different way of looking at Peak District. like I said if I did not get a bike now would probably never get one so had to just go for it. Thanks for watching and comments Pat
Found you through wild camping and stumbled across this, I had the er6f for the reason of pillion comfort and loved it, very smooth power delivery and usable torque. Great vids by the way. Stay safe ATB Steve
+Outdoors Lifestyle Hi Biking and wild camping both great, weather not so good for biking at moment roll on spring Thanks for comments and watching , all the best Pat
Hi yes I know about my Err problem been pointed out before, several times hopefully 2 years later I might have cured myself of the affliction, comment noted Pat
Iv watched a few of ur vids now but mostly camping ⛺️ ( I think they're great) and now uv got a bike , brilliant,I combine the two ,strap my tent and things on the bike and away I go , much better than a car for getting about ,,I'm just back from Ireland 🇮🇪 ,bit of camping and watching mbike racing ,keep up the vids , they are 👍🏻
Hi Pat, I'm really enjoying the videos and this one took me by surprise as I didn't expect a bike review. I did spot your ER6n though - on part 1 of the portaledge video ;-) The ER6 range of bikes are excellent, I had a 2007 Versys 650 a few years ago and it was excellent. I've had loads of bikes since including a couple of BMWs and a Harley but recently I've settled on a Yamaha tracer 700 which is also a parallel twin. I must say, 650cc and around 70bhp is ideal for what they call "real world" biking. It's plenty and the weight is about right too. I've got myself into a pickle a few times with the bigger bikes when the inevitable manhandling is required. Keep doing the vids. Thank you, they are both informative and very entertaining. I must get the tent down out of the loft this spring and see what condition it's in. I must get out on a wild camp this year - probably using the bike to get into the peak district.
Hi and nice to talk to you, very pleased with the bike, but don t seem to have the time to get out in it much, too many other interests. You sound like you have had a few bikes and the Peak District is a great p!ace to ride, all the best Pat
Hi Stu, great to have you along, I try and cram in as much as I can, mainly wild camping at the moment until something else takes my interest, all the best Pat
Been really enjoying these videos, loves bikes last one was a few years ago yam r6 ....I noticed this video is around 4-5 years old . How did you get on with it you changed it or still have the bike . Sorry to here about the illness you went through hope you are all good still .... So far I've told my wife I'm going camping up moors lol and I want a new bike.....all your fault lol
Hi Josh, had the bike up until last year, but found I was not using it so sold it last year. May get one later on see how things go, definitely get out wild camping, it's amazing, thanks Pat
Hi there Most of the gear I wear I have bought off ebay, the leather jacket is Ashman bought it for about £50 it was a bit scruffy so cleaned it up and put some leather revives colour restorer on and it came up great feels. The leather trousers were again bought on ebay about £40 but they smell of mildew had them cleaned but could not get rid of smell so don,t wear them now bought myself some new and expensive motorcycle jeans which fit and feel good. Gloves and boots again off ebay pretty cheap, one day may treat myself to some new boots thought. You can get some great bargains off ebay etc or occasionally get caught out like I did with the trousers. All the best Pat
Hi Pat great videos I love them all we have a lot in common I have a Bike as well and like wild camping I all so like hand pulled Beers my Area are the Northern parts of the Pennines up too the lakes and around Lancashire have been to Edale this year to a Bushcraft meet and I will be back I was born in December 1954 so we are nearly the same age Cheers Geoff.
Hi Geoff yes I looked at the Edale bushcraft meet looked a good camp, Camping Bikes and Beer, what a great set of interest, they sort of go together well. thanks for your comments all the best Pat
Nice Bike. Good addition to the video production kit as well. I sold my last bike Honda 650 Nighthawk about a year ago. I'm missing having a bike, I've had them most of my life since about 8 yrs old.
Hi Kevin yes don,t use the bike so much now I think the new interest and challenge of taking the test attracted me at the time. Still have my bike and every so often go for a run round the lanes of Derbyshire, thanks pat
Hi Patrick Revisited this video. Nice run. Just bought myself a second hand Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 twin modern classic! At 68 I’m a born again biker ha ha! Sold my last bike in 2007 which was a Kwak and had a 15 year gap. Good to be back on two wheels 👍 Do you still have your bike?
Sounds good your back on a bike, like all good hobbies you can leave it, then return. I sold my bike couple of years ago, just wasn't using it, payed for my drone and few other things, may return one year...... thanks Pat
Hi Pat if you still have your bike you should try the Dragon Rally which have a winter camp in February. Unluckily it has just gone last week 9/10 February
Great vid Pat. Nice to see some great countryside. I had a lovely W reg Capri in the day. Always turned heads. Shame it got crumped. I'm a new rider and thinking of getting a er6f or a honda hornet when i pass. I do like the look of the nakeds but want the distance touring comfort and shielding from wind blast so a bit hmmm at moment. What you riding now?
Hi Arnie. yes most exciting car I ever owned that capri, got me in some right trouble ! I sold my bike couple of years ago, just was,nt riding it, I think most of the fun was learning to ride and taking the tests, something new I had to do. May get another bike, or a very hot hatch so I can relive my boy racer days again.....all the best Pat
Cheers Pat, if I had a bike that looked like that, there would be a space in my man cave for it, where I can just sit and look at it. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Chris, must admit I look at it every day, just don,t seemed to find the time to ride it as much as I would like. You look at all the gear you have to put on, then you think, I,ll take the car instead, be out on it tomorrow!! thanks Pat
Hi sorry for delay, yes the bikes nice but that Capri was the best and most exiting car I ever owned, 30 years later I still remember it so well had some great times in it, which I still had it, thanks for comments all the best Pat
I had my 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth sideways around that bend a number times, along with a few other motors too lol. I've lived in the Eccleshall and Millhouses area all my life so know those wonderful Peak District roads well. Stu
Hi stu, I live in Ecclesall and Millhouses area we could be on the same road you never know. Fantastic bend even know 40 years on whatever car I,am in I still drop it down a gear and flat out round that bend, good fun it is, thanks for comments Pat
Just like yourself Patrick I retired last year and I've just upgraded my bike something must happen to us when we reach 60 I went for a Harley Davidson Heritage Softail its a beast, any way happy riding great video
Hi Jeffrey I always fancied a Harley such a fantastic sound, maybe one day we will have to see, these next 10 to 15 years should be some of our best hopefully, thanks Pat
+Tom James Hi Tom glad you enjoyed the video,s hope to do some wild camp vids as we approach winter. motorbike vid was interesting to make but not sure what else I can do apart from different routes etc. Anyway thanks for watching thanks Pat
Superb Pat. Just out of interest, as a fellow Capri man, was that a 3.0s you had, or did you ever have a 3.0 Essex engined Capri . I had a the 3.0 litre Essex and a 2.8 cologne Classic times . I have to say, your vids are an absolute breath of fresh air.
Hi Martin best car I ever had the Capri, it was a 2.0 litre Pinto engine, about 100 bhp thought it was fantastic. I got it as firms car from YEB on a 3 year contract, tried to get a 2.8 injection when time to renew, but due to endorsemens and crashes they would,nt let me have one, probably good job they did,nt, all the best Pat
NickOnDartmoor thanks for that, best and most exiting car I ever had,if only I had kept it. I,ve just gone back 40 years and I,am sat in it at 100+ mph on the way down to Monaco, Ah them were the days, thanks for the reminiscing, Pat
Hi Pat, have you thought about buying an adventure bike like the Triumph Tiger or BMW GS? I like to combine my passion for wild camping and motorcycles. I have a R1200GS BMW and have kitted it out to carry all my camping gear and like to head off road into the bush and camp out. There are plenty of great tracks here in Australia, forest and desert, I like to make videos and take photos of my trips too but have not got the know how to edit and upload to youtube, unfortunately I am a bit of a dinosaur in this technical age when it comes to that kind of thing, so much respect to you on your efforts and great content. Cheers, Stan.
BADOLDBIKER Hi there your BMW sounds great bike ideal for off roading in the outback of Australia and must be a real adventure to camp out there.. When I was at work my boss described me as IT challenged so I now where you are coming from. If it something I want to do then yes I can work it out and do it but sometimes the computer just stops me in my tracks, nice to talk to you Pat
Hi I actually sold my bike last year, just was'nt using it enough, helped buy my drone which I have been using a lot. I may get another bike one day, keep looking around, all the best Pat
It must be great fun riding your bike in the summer around the peak district. I can imagine alot of people losing their back ends in the day as most cars were rwd. The Cat and Fiddle is one hell of a road for bends and is the Cat and Fiddle inn is popular with bikers. That's the most dangerous road in the UK.
Michael Langley Hi Michael yes that was the fun of older cars being rear wheel drive you could have great fun loosing the backend,I ,be heard of the Cat and Fiddle Road, certainly got a reputation, thanks Pat
Great video mate, looking to get one for my first large bike! You've help in the decision for sure. (The image stabilisation makes the video look like it's in 3D - probably not intended but it's a decent effect haha!)
+Fabian Peterkin Hi Fabian glad video was useful at first bike felt a bit heavy after 125, but soon got used to it feels a lot safer and stable and also got the extra power. The image stabilization certainly has a weird effect bit more aware of switching it of now. Thanks and all the best Pat
Hi again I like to walk in the hills and wild camp for the peace and quite and to get away from busy towns and other people. Motorcycling is just a fun way to get about and just use the bike in my local area. Perhaps if I was 30 years younger then a longer more adventure type trip would of been something exiting to do. Moral of the story do things while your young enough to do them. Thanks for comments and watching, all the best Pat
Great videos Pat. Born n bred in Sheffield mi sen. Love bikes, love real ale, never tried wild camping but you've certainly inspired me to have a go. Might even film it. Hope I bump in to you round & about mate. All the best, Tim.
Beautiful bike pat I have an e bike I drive in China which isn’t anything as good as a Kawasaki they’re really excellent bikes you chose well with that one I truly love biking
Hi I sold my bike a few years ago, can remember not too much wind protection , but it's a named bike for just pottering about, as for mpg, no idea....... thanks Pat
Hi Pat, I own a ER6F. Today I set the chain slack using an Abba stand, but when I drop the bike the chain is tight because of the weight of the bike. Am I right is assuming that I measure chain slack when the weight is on the chain.
Thrifty Camper No never so much gear to take just to ride the bike, add camping gear on as well don,t know where I would put it. But it is a popular style of camping especially for touring Europe, Pat
Didn't notice this until now. Nice bike. I have a Yamaha SR myself. An old school low power air cooled kickstart, but with electronic ignition and fuel injection. I like a bike that's pleasant to ride at slow speed on small country roads like that. And no fairings or windshield, they cause baffle. My car doesn't get much kilometers between april and october :-)
I know what you mean, speed is not everything, just gentle riding through the countryside is the best way to ride. Maybe out on my bike tomorrow, all the best Pat
mickd6942 thanks for that Mick, I can ,t sort of sit still, need to be doing something all the time even if it's just drinking beer, thanks for the comments ,all the best Pat
Which one were you, Bodie or Doyle? I can remember clearly a mate of mine at college in the 1980s giving me a ride in his 2.8 injection Capri up and over Ditching Beacon in East Sussex. It was a fast car, well he drove it fast. Nice bike. You must make more films with it. Thanks for making and posting.
I feel like I'm.on mushrooms when I watch this video
Yep i had a few problems with the image stabilization, certainly has a strange effect, thanks Pat
Thanks Mark, went through same few years back, I like to learn new things, I did sell my bike a couple years ago, just not using it, may get another one day.... thanks Pat
Dark horse Dickinson ,or should I say hearthrob Dickinson ! What a cool dude ! Rocking in his 60,s I'm 45 and respect you very much ! You totally surprised me yet again ! Got into you for wild camping and witnessed urban camp ,tunnels , train journeys , photography, cooking , history im sure i missed something and now motorbikes I never new you rode !
Glen Whyte how do you find the GSR? I’ve had mine nearly 4 years and love it and never seen another on the road!!
Hi, pat just watching your site, the run you did round derwent I did this run two years ago .what a lovely ride it is round the derwent on bmw 1200gs can’t wait to move back home ,keep them coming don’t stop you are the best site that I found.norm.
Yes had a great time with my bike, I did sell it few years ago, just wasn't using it enough........ thanks Pat
Nice bike man!! love your camping video's
+Enzo Vaerewyck Hi Enzo I keep trying different things like biking ,kayaking train travel but always return to wild camping, its my favorite hobby. Just need extra hours in the day to fit it all in. Thanks for watching and comments Pat
You're doing great. Your video's are pretty entertaining and educating.
Do u still have your bike
Really nice video Patrick, lovely scenery, and no better way to take it in than on a lovely bike
Yes the Peak District is such a great place to ride, thanks Pat
Dude, the image stabilisation you're using is warping the shit out of this video. It's ok to leave the camera a bit shaky.
+falsepod Hi there, not sure what happened to vid seemed OK when first put on but now gone a bit weird, not sure if I can correct it. Makes you feel a bit high when look at it. Anyway thanks for comments Pat
+Patrick Dickinson It's youtube automatic video correction, you can change it
Very nice. Really enjoy your videos, very knowledgeable and encouraging. Thank you.
Your very welcome, all the best for 2021, thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Thank you. Best wishes to you too Pat.
I'll have to do a bit of motorcycling in the Peak after enjoying the scenery in your film. You have inspired me to go camping again after at least 28 years away from it. I've bought some new gear apart from my 1980's tent and camped on the Isle of Wight with my border collie in 2020 - great fun. Would you tell me how to wild camp - do you have to get permission or is it a case of no mess, no damage, no problem?
Take care and keep safe.
nice video, great bike and stunning country side. Thank you
Hi Peter yes very lucky to have the Peak district on the doorstep here in Sheffield, great for biking, walking and camping, thanks for comments Pat
Pat
+Patrick Dickinson Yes they were great cars ! It's too bloody hot here for long rides unfortunately. All the best sir !
Great in depth video pat, really enjoyed it.
Thanks Steve, did sell the bike couple of years ago, maybe another on day.... thanks Pat
Hi David, yes the Capri was my favourite car, was and always will be, got me into quite a bit of trouble mind you, but your only young once...... thanks Pat
Enjoyed that , we ride the same roads and nothing beats a dry warm day on your bike in the peaks , brilliant 🤟
Yes Paul really enjoyed riding those roads, I have sold my bike now, but remember the experience very well....... thanks Pat
Great bike Pat, lovely part of the world.
Thanks Michael....yes very lucky we have this area on our doorstep...... thanks Pat
Great. Thanks for the upload. Living the dream mate.
Glad you enjoyed it, going to cram in as much as I can while I can, thanks Pat
Loved it. I miss riding. Had to let go of one old, Kawasaki GS 450 (1986) Lmtd. edition. Loved it while I had it. I also had a smaller Suzuki 450. Thanks for the beautiful ride. Take care.
Marsha Mapes Hi Marsha yes great area to ride you never know one day you may get another bike just relive some great times, thanks Pat
Hi Pat. Great video. Reminds me when I had my 650 Bonneville in the good young days. Lovely shots of the Peak District too. Thank you
Hi pat a classic bike the Bonneville I think they still do the Bonneville in a modern triumph, nice that they kept that classic name alive, all the best Pat
Great scenic vlog. Love from India ❤
Thank you, we do have some great countryside in the Peak District……thanks Pat
Hi Adrian, I did sell my bike a couple of years a go, just not using it, but your 350 sounds a lovely bike ,classic lines and just right for pottering about those country lanes........ thanks Pat
Like the video Patrick, just passed my test and looking at getting an er6 so thanks for doing this video mate 👍
Hi Paul yes lovely bike, but I sold it last year, just was not using it it, might get one another day, thanks Pat
I too will be at Barrer ill Friday afternoon! So look out! Buy yer one? 07734 135 282

Yes the bike is great fun, I actually wired the bleeping indicators in, just so I did not leave them in, just me no safety conscious, thanks Pat

Eh-up - It's nice to know you like biking too. Good choice for the kind of roads in the Peak district.
Anthony Hulse yeah biking or camping both are great ways to enjoy the Peak District, all the best Pat
Iv watched a few of ur vids now but mostly camping ⛺️ ( I think they're great) and now uv got a bike , brilliant,I combine the two ,strap my tent and things on the bike and away I go , much better than a car for getting about ,,I'm just back from Ireland 🇮🇪 ,bit of camping and watching mbike racing ,keep up the vids , they are 👍🏻
Hi Jim and thanks for kind comments, bike camping does sound a good idea, maybe try it one day, thanks Pat
Hi Pat, I'm really enjoying the videos and this one took me by surprise as I didn't expect a bike review. I did spot your ER6n though - on part 1 of the portaledge video ;-)
The ER6 range of bikes are excellent, I had a 2007 Versys 650 a few years ago and it was excellent.

Nice review.. do u still have the bike?
Thanks Ilham, I did sell my bike couple of years ago, just was,nt using it, maybe another one day......thanks Pat
Hi Patrick,
Your leathers are fantastic. Can you tell me what jacket, pants, boots and gloves you were wearing.
Nice-looking, practical machine that.
I bought mesen a ZZR1400 Gen2 for Xmas.
Used to have a Capri too!
Will Sterben Your bike sounds a amazing machine, 650 big enough for me. Always remember my Capri, thanks Pat
Patrick Dickinson Tempted to get one like yours too though, great for those roads you filmed on. I do like the naked look.
Hi Patrick , Hope you are well ! Just ordered a IXIL Hypersport exhaust and a Dynojet V controller for my ER6N. I'll let you know the outcome. Regards
+GTR MAN Hi there sounds a interesting mod to your ER6n will be interested in the results you get, thanks Pat

Yes if you,be had one that long, difficult to be without one, there is a simple answer to the problem of course, Pat
Hi Pat a retired friend of mine has travelled Europe on his er6 it never fails and great mpg too. More bike vids please.
Yes that's the way to do it travelling round Europe, wether I ever will have time I don,t know, thanks Pat

A twist on the normal video but great to see a different side of you and the country side. Tip Top.
Hi Kevin yes don,t use the bike so much now I think the new interest and challenge of taking the test attracted me at the time. Still have my bike and every so often go for a run round the lanes of Derbyshire, thanks pat
some negative comments below, don't listen to them stupid comments made continue pal.
Hi Patrick
Revisited this video.

You look at all the gear you have to put on, then you think, I,ll take the car instead, be out on it tomorrow!! thanks Pat
bike is very nice but that capri looks brilliant!!! excellent pic. all the best

Loved the picture of your Capri! 😂👍👍👍👍

Greetings from Malaysia! I was a student at Sheffield University and I miss Sheffield.
Hi glad you enjoyed your time in Sheffield, a lot of people never go home from here, all the best Pat
Michael Langley it was the best road until the crappy average 50mph cameras dropped in, hopefully the same doesn’t happen to snake pass
Hi Pat,
Have you thought of doing motorcycle camping and bothey camping?
Hi again I like to walk in the hills and wild camp for the peace and quite and to get away from busy towns and other people. Motorcycling is just a fun way to get about and just use the bike in my local area. Perhaps if I was 30 years younger then a longer more adventure type trip would of been something exiting to do. Moral of the story do things while your young enough to do them. Thanks for comments and watching, all the best Pat
done that road many times in my honda prelude that i still have going to see my mate in Sheffield
Yes lovely bit of road, I drive on it regularly myself, Pat
Great videos Pat. Born n bred in Sheffield mi sen. Love bikes, love real ale, never tried wild camping but you've certainly inspired me to have a go. Might even film it. Hope I bump in to you round & about mate. All the best, Tim.
Beautiful bike pat I have an e bike I drive in China which isn’t anything as good as a Kawasaki they’re really excellent bikes you chose well with that one I truly love biking
Hi James and thanks, great bike I just don't,t get our on it enough, too many other interests, thanks Pat
How is the wind protection on this bike, since it's considered naked. How is the mpg aswell. Thanks
Afraid I,am not sure Stuart.....thanks Pat
Would you buy it again with mt07, sv650 on market?
Yes was very happy with the bike, I have sold it last year, may get another some day thanks Pat
Mate how come you never made anymore videos with the bike ? Do you still ride ?
Hi Emanuel, I did not ride my bike so much this last year so I sold it in June, may get one one day but not at moment, thanks Pat
You done any wild camping on the bike Pat? I ve done bike camps but no wild as nowhere to stash the bike.
Maybe out on my bike tomorrow, all the best Pat
is there no end to your tallents patrick, wildcamper
biker, urban explorer, rocket laucher builder, hat of to you sir!
mickd6942 thanks for that Mick, I can ,t sort of sit still, need to be doing something all the time even if it's just drinking beer, thanks for the comments ,all the best Pat
