@@coastertogbut there's got to be a reason as to why some consider Smiler's second air pop the best in the UK. I'm not saying it myself, but that's because I've not ridden everything the country has to offer lol I know Rita's airtime is good, not that I remember it, but the resulting shoulder pain was comparable to my most recent motorcycle accident so it was definitely doing something.
There is a point on outlaw run at silver dollar city (over the hump right before you go through the tracks) where my neck gave out and I got some pretty nasty whiplash 😅 that is the loudest I’ve ever heard my neck crack 😂😂
I had the same on hulk as you due to heat because I hadn’t drunk water that morning without realizing and the cobra roll took my vision away and I tried waking myself up because I wanted to enjoy the ride 😅🤣
I think a big factor is how sustained the g forces are. For example a ride could have a theoretical maximum g-force of 3.5, but if there’s say a helix or a loop that sustains forces around that amount, the ride would be far more intense than a ride with a theoretical maximum gforce of 5, that only reaches its maximum gforce briefly during a transition into an element
I think SAW at Thorpe Park provides the most noticeable G force in the UK. You will feel it on that ride. I'm always depressed about the height limitations on British coasters, but ive been around the world riding rollercoasters and excluding launch coasters SAW really makes you feel it.
@@orionscythe ngl i dont even think an average gp would ever believe that wood weighs so little but then again there are people on this planet that are probably that kind of stupid so idk (just look at 95% of western media rn for example)
I went on the roller coaster with the 2nd most Gs Shockwave it doesn’t really matter it’s not intense the Gs don’t make it intense the speed that’s why shockwave isn’t even listed as max thrill level
nah it’s more likely that where he got these readings is just guessing because wickerman does not pull 4 gs ESPECIALLY for a family wooden coaster and no way oblivion pulls 4.5g especially considering the other dive coasters pull under 4g on the drop
Awe man! why were you there ahah? It’s not scary for the most part my friends sister is 9 and went on Rita wicker man oblivion and stuff, she enjoyed it !😊
Nemesis feels the most intense for me because it is sustained throughout the layout and I was surprised by the smiler making the top 3
Same! I genuinely thought that first helix on Nemesis would have been way more
If I'm honest completely disagree I felt no force or intensity on nemesis quite a lackluster experience and over hyped I prefer its neighbour
If you ever try and keep your hands up on Smiler, it is by far the hardest
@@jacobplatt3066smiler gave me bruises when I put my hands up, although that may have been oblivion

The G force on Rita lead me to crack my jaw for life aged 11. Beautiful stuff (never looking left on a coaster again)
did you look left just before the launch?
the only time rita will be top of a list
Best airtime at Alton Towers?! 😲
@@coastertog smiler has that for the second air time hill alone

I went on Rita in the blazing heat a few weeks ago at the end of the day and I almost blacked out on the second turn around! So forceful
The first turn after the launch made my vision blur because the positives are really strong 😂
I had the same on hulk as you due to heat because I hadn’t drunk water that morning without realizing and the cobra roll took my vision away and I tried waking myself up because I wanted to enjoy the ride 😅🤣
I did that on nemesis inferno didn’t drink water on a hot day and came off with a headache which I had for the rest of the day

When I was around 9 I went on Rita and got off coughing and in tears 😊
more Gs than a rocket is wild
no it's not 3Gs is forceless
A rocket is sustained 3GS. Rollercoasters only experience high gs for a couple of seconds
TF this is fast, I’m going chesington 🏃

Saw is intense but the roughness kinda ruins the intensity. That’s why I feel the intensity on something like inferno because it is smooth
Can you do Blackpool pleasure beach?
Everyone else: alton towers
This guy: ulton towers
Storm runner rn 👁️👄👁️
The one time I went on Rita it was hailing so I got bruises all over my face 😢
Do Thorpe park
Problem is a rocket ia sustained 3 g whereas a rollercoaster vairies
It's actually baffling to me that astronauts only pull 3gs in a rocket launch when the wicker man is 4gs 😂😭
I went to Alton not that long ago and my brothers said Rita would be the best one to start with because I’ve never done a rollercoaster 😭
it would be Galactica or thirteen probably
How is wickerman only 4 g's??? All that wood must way so much more than just 4 grams right?
he's not talking about grams he's talking about g force you're confused

what about poor octonauts sea adventure
G-force too strong.. off the charts
10g
Its kinda depends as well what direction the g force is being applied.
he's talking about vertical g force
I mat aswell go on a rocket now that I've done rita
Where does wicker man experience 4G? I found it a pretty tame ride in terms of intensity
This is all true BUT the smiler actually has 4.8 Gs so it should be in first
it varies depending on the source
I went on the roller coaster with the 2nd most Gs Shockwave it doesn’t really matter it’s not intense the Gs don’t make it intense the speed that’s why shockwave isn’t even listed as max thrill level
speed doesn't make it intense it's the g force and how long it's sustained for
smiler was not actually that forceful when i went on it
true but the valleys in the dive loops are intense you feel your face drooping down
5G is still new even roller coaster don't have it jet😂
there are rollercoasters with 6 Gs already
Not a roller coaster but Marauders Mayhem is higher Gs if you spin it really fast!!! 😂
i thought rits was 4.6g and the smiler and oblivion were 4.5g

yeah, just gotta wait for march 2024

I thought so too but apparently not!
Oblivion feels forceless
Where does Wickerman pull 4g? Other then the small airtime pops i find it rather forceless? Nemesis' helix has be greying out but Wickerman nothing?
I'm confused as well, maybe it's lateral gs?
@@g0thicuk4 lateral Gs would probably snap your neck
it's probably because the g force isn't sustained on wickerman

@@VECTOR_Coasters yea especially for oblivion that's true I only feel about 3.5 Gs on oblivion
Umm what if there was an infinite g ride what would happen?
the universe would spontaneously cease to exist because that's not possible
the peak g force on a ride means absolutely NOTHING. Only how sustained it is.
At least Rita's good at one thing
it has a great launch, good airtime, good g force and great speed
I thought that nemesis was 9G
that would probably kill people
Really they named a coaster Rita??? Shouldn’t she be working at the Walmart or smthn lol
It’s a reverse acronym for Alton Towers Intamin Rocket :D
Same people who named the movie "The Meg"
Literally every single piece of math used in this video is wrong, congrats
