this is definitely the most relaxing ride. you don't feel stressed out waiting for it to start because the music is so calming lmfao

This was my favourite ride easily at alton towers. There wasn't really any fear/anxiety like other rides (even though I do enjoy these aspects). The ride was just pure fun! Ridiculously smooth, and like many have said before, it just feels like you're flying. We rode 3 times - once in the day, once at night, and on the 3rd time we all agreed to close our eyes for the whole ride.. The eyes closed ride was a crazy experience and at times I completely lost track of whether I was going forwards or backwards (definitely reccommend this as an experience).

Honestly one of the most relaxing and smooth rides I have ever ridden. It is so comfortable to ride ! I miss it 😥

Yeah! Went on the 29th of oct and we were lucky enough to get front row seats in the dark! And there was no queue!
Went for 27 september
It was my fav ride after nemesis

I went on a couple days ago. The smiler is still my favourite, but Galactica is definitely the most unique. You do feel like you're flying, and the feeling of there being nothing below you is insane. Definitely reccommend it.

This is the only ride I didn’t faint on this is the most chill ride at Alton no panicking just fun screaming
First ride I went on here. It was so fun. Honestly I'd your scared of rides, go on this one first, it warms you up and is quite relaxing towards the end!!
I love watching reverse POVs on smooth gentle inverted coasters. So satisfying and lovely.
When I was at Alton towers years ago it's was called air which was a really nice relaxing ride to be on

what's brilliant is there's no stomach drop feeling. I expected there to be especially when u r on ur back dropping down but no the ride is extremely smooth and it feels like ur cruising thru the air

this is a really fun ride, no force, no intensity, just really fun
I went on galactica back in 2019 and it was slow and relaxing, and then I went a couple days ago it seems like they bumped up the speed way faster. I fully wasn’t expecting it
The fly to lie section while backwards made a really trippy sensation! Great footage!
For people who are nervous to go on rollercoasters I’ve only been on it twice but it is so fun when your laid on your back it is my favourite part it is so gentle I absolutely love it 😊😊😊

I would absolutely love to go on this but I'm scared of rides that go upside down 😅 I get anxiety thinking "what if I barf and everyone gets hit" lmao. Rita is the most exhilarating ride I've been on there ('cause it doesn't go upside down!)

That drop near the top of the lift hill showing nemesis track is bloody terrifying

Also when it turns upside down after the first drop, and the riders are going head first facing the skies. I love that bit!

To me this is the future a roller coasters because people who are afraid of them can go on a VR experience and not have to worry about it they can just have fun you know you don't have to be terrified you can go on a journey and this is definitely the future and I think it looks great I think it's going to get bigger and better and yeah I think it's definitely going to work

I waited 2 hrs for that ride bc of a mouth function and I was one of the first testers to go back on, it was SCARY

I have been scared to ever go on a roller coaster for a long time. So next time I go to Alton towers I will do the mine train (Personal favourite ride at Alton towers) and try wicker man for the first time. Then I will do this as a first inverted coaster.
That’s a good plan. Galactica is the least intimidating coaster which inverts there ☺️
I’m the biggest wuss when it comes to rollercoasters I never go on them lol but when I first ever went on this I was so horrible to everyone with me in the queue cos I was terrified but when I was on it it was amazing

Oml this is so fun!! Me and my cousin went on this and I sat on the right side middle and I remember as we were going up I saw this couple with a kid doing a video of us I was so scared but I waved when I was going up with my both hands then I realised we were about to drop but I forgot to hold on- AND I GOTBSO SCARED I DIDNT KNOW WHETE THE HANDLE BARS WHERE XDDDD

It's definitely the most calming thrill ride there.
If I am not mistaken, there seems to be a lying on your back section when you are looking at the sky. If that is correct then it is really cool. I have not seen that before.

This used to be called Air and was my favourite at Alton Towers, the ride is so smooth I just loved it. Why does it have a new name - there are certainly no changes on track. Only theming change from what I can see is the circle at the bottom of the first drop, at the point where the on ride photos were taken.
They added space themed virtual reality I think
And then removed it
Last time I went I went on 9 times it’s my favourite ride
it’s so Much better without the vr headset and so much easier to enjoy
