i flew across the ocean to thorpe to try and apologize to hyperia. i found it closed and got this-
it was originally made to start turning thorpe park into a thrill park alongside collosus where they opened within a year of each other
What I suggest about Inferno, is a proper storyline about a volcano eruption. Just like Alton did with Nemesis.
Damn ngl i love this ride lol, it was my first ever ngl and it rattled my head a lottt, but once i realised that youre actually meant to brace and not just sit there like a lemon it was brilliant, maybe not the same as alton tower's nemesis but still very good. What's REALLLYYY bad though is collossus's back row, braced as i do on rough coasters on back rows and HOLYYY SHIT
The aesthetics of this ride always were so appealing and interesting to me, will be riding it in august to see if the ride is that bad.
exactly my thoughts, but tbf to it the last 2 turns are pretty intense
I think you need a back row ride it feels less headbangy and you pull some good forces
Although it’s not the most intense invert, the loop is very forceful and it is smooth as butter for me every time
I feel like this ride gets so much hate because of nemesis at Alton towers. I think it's my 2nd favourite coaster at thorpe park! It is great to have a B&M invert coaster at thorpe park
Which seats did you sit on during your rides? I find the outside seats a bit rattly and the inside seats really smooth, so maybe you didn’t sit on an inside seat?
Also W intro music
I sat on outside seats for both my rides, so that makes sense. Also similar to logo i kinda took inspiration…
from my experience, i used to hate it but it's been on demon time for the last 2 years and now i think it's really smooth and intense. but hey that's just me i guess
Weird. Been on Inferno 4 times now, and never experienced headbanging. I also found this was one of the most intense rides at the park lol
I'd love to know your thoughts on another very similar ride, Patriot at Worlds of Fun. I think they have nearly identical layouts and elements, just a different theming. I've ridden them both and didn't have a problem with either, but Patriot has always been smooth as hell to me. It is my favorite inverted coaster and was surprised to find such a similar coaster at Thorpe Park.
Interesting, I haven’t ridden Patriot but maybe I need to put it on my bucket list!!
I really enjoy this coaster, sure I got a tiny bit of head banging but that was one of the four rides I have had on this thing
when they if they retrack nemesis inferno add a better storyline add theming and reprofile everything to make it whippier and maybe more forceful? idk
I like that idea! Thanks for watching :)
Tbf whilst I disagree about the forceless opinion, this season has been the first season that I’ve actually thought it’s been considerably rough. I don’t think it’s a massive problem but it’s way more noticeable then it has been in the past
I understand about the head banging but thorpe park was where I got over my fear of coasters and also rode coasters for the first time, I did all the big ones twice, once with eyes screwed shut and once actually enjoying it,I found nemesis inferno to be a personal fave for me actually, maybe bc colossus was closed tho!
Nemesis Inferno is a great ride, it's forceful, intense & not rough or pointless. The Colour* scheme is great & the layout isn't short. This ride gets a lot of hate which is unfair considering.
dang.
honestly despite even going on hyperia i still find nemesis inferno to be the by far best ride at thorpe despite all the hate it gets purely for the name
it isn't anything revolutionary like the velocicoster etc but honestly out of the many many rides i've personally rode ive always had a softspot for inferno, yea the original is better but as it's own coster it goes pretty hard and all the experiences ive had on it have always been relatively smooth
Mustve had some unlucky rides on it ngl
A headbanger like infusion and a zero g roll like icon
I want to ride it now to see if it really is this bad lol.
It’s not at all it’s really smooth tbh
it isnt - its a typical b&m inverter - if you want a bad tide an SLC...
Calling this ride not intense is like calling an rmc not smooth
A lot of B&M inverts are intense. They’re compact and definitely get the job done imo.
I hate inferno that’s why I think nemesis reborn will always be the best
