You kinda need that for a carrier landing.
Bleeding lots of energy isn't important for that. Slowing down is important but there isn't any magical plane which just can't slow down. You have a lot of time and space to slow down for a landing.
Day 9: Hey Phly, ive been watching you for nearly 2 years, but i downloaded the game 3 weeks ago, im grinding the Russian tree, BMP, T-80 and T-90. I play RB, and ive reached the PT-76B along with the T-34/57. I get 1-4 kills each game. Ive noticed that extremely many of my controls, especially in Air battles are unassigned, and im unsure what every one of them do. I cant seem to find a video where you show all your controls and keybinds. If you have made one, would you link it for me? If you haven’t made one, id really love to see one!

@@woodruff4241 in a sense I feel that too, but the lack of smart weapons means you always have to play risky. The chance that a radar wielding SPAA is just going to nail you when you arrive at the battlefield are too high.

The McDonnell F3H-2 Demon is a fun plane in Air RB. She's not supersonic, but she's fast. You light that afterburner and it is so fun. The AIM-9B isn't anything special, but the AIM-7C Sparrow is a bloody good missile at the BR because its radar guided. I've yeeted quite a few fools trying to do head ons with Sparrows and its satisfying. Phly, I would highly recommend you take this birdy out in Air RB because she is a blast.
Ya know, I don’t know if it’s bad luck, a skill issue, or a combination of both, but this plane has been the complete opposite for me. I can never seem to make it to the battlefield in time, all the enemies are either gone or have killed me before I even saw them. It’s speed is not good enough for climbing, let alone fighting, and my sparrows seem to just not move to intercept after being fired for some reason. They just kinda act like a slower dumb fire. That and the sheer number of supersonic jets you’re up against and it’s literally just painful. I wish I could experience the fun side of it, but it’s really only just sucked my 400k SL I saved up to a whopping 1,354.

Fun fact, US used a 4000lb bomb during WWII. They dropped them from B24's and could put 2 of them on external racks on B-17G's. The B-29 could fit 4 internally and 4 on external bomb racks, giving a total payload of 32,000lb. The forum suggestion was accepted years ago, gaijin have been silent. Same with the British 8,000lb and 12,000lb HC bombs... but don't worry, the Pe-8 can still drop it's 11,000lb bomb..

Phly, my theory is that you have to record your commentary after the fact as you’re editing your final video footage. There’s no way you have the ability to make such witty and perfect timed quips and remarks on the fly simultaneously as your actually immersed and analyzing in the combat situations. But I think you have the winning formula. Watching war thunder footage with you ranting in the background seems to never become boring no matter what’s occurring in the actual matches
