Something that doesn't get enough appreciation is how Dollar keeps his videos relatively PG-13, which means I can share them with my little brothers who play war thunder with me sometimes. Thanks for that Dollar!

pro tip: you can bind individual machineguns / secondary weapons in controls, this is useful because your gun wont aim up because you want to shoot a plane with your MG, so you can act quickly, if someone shows in front of you... and you also get a seperate sight for it... and if you have gunner thermals on some tank that has top mounted mg and you switch to control that mg, that mg will also have thermals
The Clip in the Desert map shows how good Dollar is. Full up tiers are typically awful for heavy tanks, yet Dollar was able to go on a Killing spree against Leopards and other vehicles that would easily cleave through the armor of the IS-2(1944). And at 7.3, you are facing experienced player, most of which didn’t appear to be guys who bought their way to top tier. A lot of games makes it look like Dollar’s opponents are simply spreading their cheeks or running around blind, but this one was pretty impressive.
When the John Travolta clip played I sung the rest of verse off of memory thank you for reminding me of the movie Grease my mum loved it and played it all the time when I was growing up in the early 2000's.
Shortly after this event the Field Testing Battle Pass gave us the Object 248, an IS-2 that trades its .50 cal for a 100mm cannon with slightly better pen and a much better reload speed. If you unlocked and kept it I'd love to see it featured. Just today I managed to kill a Finnish Leo2A4 with one in an 11.3 match. He grazed my turret with his dart and I sent a 100mm APHE round straight through his turret ring from the front. Made my day.
I just put "Did you angle today" decal on my IS-3 and my K/D ratio skyrocketed. Cant wait to put it on other tanks. Highly recommend it. Thank you Betty
I have been playing War Thunder since the beginning. I mean we didn’t have ground forces only airplanes. So when ground forces was released I started playing it also. From Beta to now. I am absolutely convinced there is a slight bias towards Russian equipment. Once you understand that and accept it you can move on and “enjoy” the game..
You can actually use the top mounted machine gun separately so you dont crank your barrel all the way up, which is a bad thing because you are more vulnerable if you cant shoot back. There is a key binding that lets you select the available machineguns on your tank individually.
@@DOLLARplays Often times its the easy anti-cheat that causes lag for me, you might wanna look into that. Its a very old program and it is poorly optimized. Ok WT is an old programm that doesnt get optimized too bwhahaha xD Cheers mate o/
You may need to bind a key for rangefinder, it helps a lot when shooting far targets. Also, it seems better if change the function of mouse wheel from zoom to sight distance control. Good hunting!

I used to play a lot of world of tanks and I'd reverse angle around corners a lot in the IS series of tanks. The one tank I really couldn't was the IS-8 because apparently they're more optimally played as a medium
You should bind a key to switch to your roof mg, helps a ton, you can aim at planes while keeping your main gun ready for ground units, you can also aim above obstacles to get light vehicles (got an ush trying to ambush my T-54 like that once), and you can also bait those light target by getting your main gun not looking in their direction while being ready to kill them with the mg even though that's a risky play in some cases. They should add a counter for mg ammo imo, hard to tell if you should empty your belt or not with the DShK, i usually empty it when done shooting to be ready for the next time as they have a really small belt of 50 rounds, but at the same time they have 250 rounds in total so don't want to waste them lol.
too bad some mgs don't move around 360° so at a certain point you have to move the turret which is kinda annoying, but yeah otherwise binding the mg is a good idea
Dollar Tiger one shot is like a mosquito against IS 2 .Mine IS 2 shot Tiger from behind like trhree times and did nothing to my armor. I am only telling that with theese big boys like IS 2 1944 and others IS you dont have to be afraid of anything at their tier. But again beautifull video keep it up😁

I brought historical loadouts - 2/3 to 3/4 HE for IS-2.
