Little trick to ensure that the pirates attack you and you don't lose any cargo when the scan you. Pickup some mission delivery cargo before going to the HAZ rez. The pirates will scan you and ask for the cargo, eventually starting aggro and your fighter and turrets will kick in. They cant steal the mission cargo so you are good for the entire session. (no need for point defence so stack more shield boosters!)

i use a Imperial Cutter for this its a very good shield tank and you only die to system police if your afking in low extraction site. Bonus is if you use a external tool like ODMassacreStacker you can easily make 0.5 Billion a night or if your doing a whole day 1 billion. just make shure to pick up contracts that give you at least 1 mil per kill, but the best once are 40 mil for 15 targets. if you have 5 factions and 19+1 missions accepted you can make a big ammount. If you also have friends they can do the same and you can share the missions for doubeling or trippeling your money.

People making the argument you are are deliberately ignoring the most obvious point in order to make the argument - All an AFK build does is make you money when you would otherwise be making zero money. So the value of it lies in the idea that you're then _actually playing_ however you want... just with more money. No enjoyment is lost whatsoever, unless you enjoy having less money when you actually play.

you have every limpet type available @ class 7 (longer range, longer lifespan ) and can have 8 of those limpets active. so, mining, 1 prospector limpet, 7 collectors, while only taking up one optional slot. mind you it's a size 7 slot but I've found the tradeoff to be worth it. for combat, you have collectors, but if you decide to detour and do some piracy, you have hatchbreakers etc. If you get damaged you have repair limpets... still only 1 slot used.

The main thing is to understand is that when any pair of minor factions in a system are in a War, Civil War or Election state, *all* factions in that systems flood the mission boards with missions related to those conflicts, pushing pirate massacre missions off the boards. Pick a system with no minor factions in a conflict state (which can change every day) and stacking will be quick and efficient.
This is why EDTools has a Massacre (PVE) tool, which shows the state of every minor faction in each mission system.

Ships other than the Type-10 do need to constantly pitch though, to avoid ships camping in their blind spots. The Type-10 has minimal blind spots though, so perma-pitching isn't needed.
Incidentally, it's pitching rather than rolling or yawing because rolling retains the same blind spots, and yawing is far to slow and difficult to arrange, where as you can pitch AFK with a wedge under your stick. Oh, and don't just Flight-assist-off and leave it tumbling. Often pirate ram your ship, if you're FA-off you can come back to a ship that's 100's of km from the RES marker. *8')
Also, beam lasers are a poor option for an AFK build, they drain weapons capacitor, making everything run hotter, and do less damage per energy, which is important when you're energy recharge limited, similarly shield tanks are better than hull tanks for AFK. Once hull is gone, it's not coming back that session.

    @markbooth3066 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

What is described here is what we in the AFK community would call a "first generation" AFK build, with none of the developments made in the first 6 months after the AFK technique was first developed.
Compared to a second generation build it has significantly lower shield capacity, suboptimally placed point defence (hint, the two on the top are pointless, bottom front/left and bottom rear/right would be a far more effective combination), and significantly slower shield recharge (Heavy Duty doesn't help here), while the beams waste so much distributor capacity.
For a lower engineering cost, you can build a second generation, minimally engineered Type-10 for 386m cr, with 6,008 MJ of thermal shield capacity, which regenerates at 36.6MJ/s with pips of 402.

Feel free to ask any questions, but the nice thing about this build is that it only requires you to unlock the engineers Felicity Farseer, The Dweller and Lei Cheung to build and engineer this ship.
Further engineering will not necessarily make the build any better, and could damage it's effectiveness (lasers are deliberately grade 1, as we only need to remove the falloff, not getting distracted by targets that are too far away).
The only change I would make to it now, given their release, would be to substitute in a SCO FSD rather than the standard FSD. Just don't go crazy with supercruise overdrive, as you need plenty of fuel to AFK for many hours at a time.

@@markbooth3066 Oops, I guess I should be clear. In game. It seems like every video is about how to make more money. That gets dull quickly.

No problems, that's why I asked.
One of the reasons I like *efficient* credit farming, is that it frees up time to spend doing more interesting things.
The push for me was buying a fleet carrier.
It would have been unattainable without Wing Massacre missions, and Mining Expansion missions or Wing Mining Missions for buyable commodities. Plus, it would have taken four times as long if i weren't winging up with people to share those missions and be shared with.
Now that I have it though, I can take all of my ships with me wherever I go, and I can always have a place to repair, refuel and rearm nearby.
Now that I'm set up to do it, an evenings work can net 1b to 2b credits, which is enough for anything I might want to buy for a while. One night can generate all the credits I need for months of play.

I can picture some people not having fun because they can't afford the ships or equipment, they want.
Some people don't have the time to spend hours grinding credits.
This is to help enable more meaningful gameplay.
I do agree, it is boring.

Don't be dense, it's an AFK build. It's active when you're not playing, so "fun" isn't a relevant metric. The point of it is that you make money when you would otherwise be making zero - which is an arrangement that everybody would enjoy IRL, lol. Once you sit back down to actually play however you wish to, you'd be doing it with more money. More money to enjoy playing the game however you want is an obvious positive, unless your goal is specifically to play the game with less money.

Not for AFK it ain't. Far more expensive, locked behind the Imperial Navy grind, and while it has better shields, it's weapons coverage is worse (there are far more 'blind' spots) requiring it to do a pitch tumble.
