  • Now that the cross member is installed it is time to put in the front 3 link long arms. I imagine there are some points installing the long arms I could have gone about it a different way but hey, hind sight is always 20/20 right!? -Enjoy!

Unrelated to this video, but I had to share. I've been binge watching your videos and get a kick out of your sense of humor. I purchased an item that ended up being defective and needed a RGA from the manufacturer to return it. After 3 phone calls to their 'customer service' line, I finally discovered why I never got the RGA via email. They copied the email address down wrong and was sending it to someone else. Without thinking, my verbal response to the lady on the phone, without missing a beat, was "Well, there's your problem, lady!' in my best Eric O impression. You've forever corrupted me! ROTFL!

I'm happy with my decision not to crawl under the Jeep when I was there last. I wanted to see the build take place on video first. Is that weird? Only a TH-camr would say that. Jeep sure has a strange way of hanging front axles causing a lot of fiddling around, but anyone who has a Jeep would gain a lot by watching this video. Thanks my friend, I enjoy seeing the progress.

Not that you wouldn't have thought of it and considering how sketchy one or two threads are for holding that bump stop extender, I would have cut/drilled a 1" - 1 1/4" hole in the side of the original bump stop to be able to slide a washer and lock nut thru and over the bolt as well as be able to slide a box end wrench over it to hold it all while tightening. Just seems to me that one good 'bump' would tear that extension right out of there! I enjoy watching your channel, although being a retired mechanic myself, I don't understand why I would want to!! LoL

Those are the exact tires on my van. Just about 34 inches only mine are on 16 inch rims. They work well for sure.
As for that steel bushing on the lower sway bar link. Well you grab your harbor freight hydraulic spreading tool and spread those ears a bit.
I found an old plumb bob laying around and used that to get the axle loosely centered under my van. Just dropped it down the fender and measured in from there. Tedious to be sure.

Hey Eric, I finally fixed my Tacoma. It was the Dist, I inspected it after removing it, looked tight no play, gear looked great,
I guess what was bad was the Signal Generator, apparently ever so often it would not send the signal that it had fired
the plug, so the ECU would cut the fuel/injector, just for a split sec, then it would work again, so like I said I was
getting a bumping feeling sometimes going down the road. But Yea its fixed. Installed a New OEM Dist, 550.00 smackers
but its running smooth as a kitten. And Toyota could not find problem, Toyota Master Techs...Right.
At least they didnt charge me, that was a plus.

On centering that axle use a steel 12in ruler with identical fine markings on both sides, they are much easier to handle and you can see them from both sides, and on those spacers that were too tight you could have touched them on the grinder and gave you a little flat spot to fit those rounded edges on the mount,
