    I LOVE how much Matt depended on his father to speak into his life, but more importantly that his trust was placed in good hands. I LOVE the way his dad gave him those 3 words that he needed to hear when he needed to hear them. Not all parents are say the right thing when it's most needed.

Theres world apart from receiving Jesus Christ as your savior and living Life dedicated to out Savior....beware of false teachers eho claim to be a disciple of our Lord and Saviour. Yes to being able to sleep at night is a big sign. 🎉. When we allow the servant to tell the boss what to do, that’s where we have challenges…. By using your intuition “what feels good” works !however, by staying in our mind (servant ) we are not present and struggle with it. Thank you for this program. ❤

    Matthew McConaughey is such a powerhouse of insight!! This is a book I will be purchasing and finding this video was no coincedence. I have been struggling with so many things he talks about recently, especially what to do in a situation ........ 'Pivot' ........... that is exactly what I needed to hear right now and opened up a whole new avenue and thought process for me. Very much appreciate all of this shared experience .... listening to Matthew is like taking a masterclass in Life. Thank you.

  • @futurefunkfrequency
    @futurefunkfrequency ปีที่แล้ว +93

    27:25 Matthew McConaughey's words were so incredible and helpful for me. The part about pivoting between 2 choices in a career. I find myself stuck between two identities that I want to purpose, and that is frustrating. I appreciate Matthew using his story of leaving his career as a lawyer as an example - it helped put things into perspective. Using "what wakes me up a night" to help measure what's important and focusing on that instead. I also love the idea of writing all the time vs only writing successes because looking back on those diary entries can provide ways to benefit the future self to improve. I've subscribed! Thank you, Jay!!

    Wow is amazing to see that your favorite actor is a human and has been through something similar to what I have been through. I like what he said to look at the situation as if you are not the victim and look at it as a happy situation because it already happened and you can't change that, at the end you are a kid at the time, and if you don't make peace ..it is going to hunt you and ruin your life forever is like Take CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE of the situation for yourself I love that I needed to hear that!!!

    Had to pause the video; Thank you Matthew for giving me an entirely new perspective on midlife & menopause! Lol, yup that's what I said, "more vital" you described that everything in your life was more "vital" but you didn't pathologize the passionate more intense feelings you were having at the time you had your child & your now wife., the rom-com didn't match that vitality, no you owned it & wore it all proudly. I AM more vital, & here I was thinking I was slipping away, losing control of everything & feeling like a half-nut case from all the feels, epiphany here about a handful of things in my life, gems; persist, pivot, conceed. Thanks, Jay & Matthew!

    i love his self acceptance and balanced outlook looking for the good in the hard times and not holding onto having to be perfectly balanced to seek new experiences as I am constantly feeling sensitive to my own misalignment and trying to balance it yet and therefore remain stuck. This just woke my consciousness up from being a self isolating in limbo chemiclly dependent addict to the real me who pauses to reflect, manifest and watch for greenlights, move away from red lights and just start living without fear of being incapable of handling lifes challenges! Thank you this is a no b.s. motivational interview.

    At 17:00, Matthew describes the best tool one can learn in life. If you can laugh at life’s absurdities and most difficult parts, you can live thru them. Abe Lincoln as a Statesman in IL, use to bring in dark, but humorous political comedy pieces. His fellows, thought it was crude and his was response was, (paraphrasing), Gentleman if I could not laugh at the current state of our union/society, I would cry. Excellent. ❤

    He makes some very good points. I wish I was younger to try these but I am just too worn down from life and desire light is burning dim.

    Jay, I am going to learn about you because I like your flow and Matthew I understand. Funny how slowing down hind sight changes perception and we momentarily understand life is for us.
    I still carry the crown because my children and grandchildren do not dare challenge the master 😊

    I love what MC says about his baby being his North 🌟 Star during a difficult time finding his purpose! I don't have children nor did I nor do I want one but he CLEARLY is Father material with a capital "F!"
