This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.
I’m 73yrs old and have been journaling since I was 10yrs Old keeping an daily 4-H log. Not sure my 9 kids & 24 gkids will ever read thru them..... but it’s growth
I have 53 3-ring binders in book shelves for my marriage years and multiple gratitude/idea/designer/mommying/hospiceHarping for all those “developing “ years. They are in bins Under beds, in top shelves in closets, etc... now with GREENLIGHTS I might need to take myself off to a retreat to a shack in Kona Cove and consolidate all of them, BUT I’d probably sink the boat with the weight of all those tomes.
An old soul who is awake, once you are spiritually awake, your body is awake inside and out and you are living your life through Source. The best place to be while in a body! When you're an old soul you are awake to everything around you much more than those who aren't, even when young. We also choose our parents - not always for good but for what you need to learn in that lifetime. It's also about your soul as many understand and how you're wired as in service to self or service to others. Less impressed is the removal of ego, as when you wake up you do the shadow work within which removes ego because ego goes against spirit. Millions of people are waking up now so many are dealing with the great awakening...physical doesn't matter, your soul does. Thanks, Matthew.
Positive and constructive self awareness combined with humility and grit are what resonate from MM. Incredibly stimulating and meaningful conversation.
This episode is an incredible reminder that celebrities, famous people... are humans too. We all share stories of struggle and what builds us is the courage to face our problems with a bright mind. Matthew is a ledge and thanks Rich for diving deep into his story for us. All the love,
To navigate life, we 'make the choice' how we react to challenges and change. When you believe something or you don't, you will always be right! (My version of Henry Ford's famous quote.)
I've listened to three of Rich's podcasts so far: James Clear (which is how I found this channel), Goggins and now this. I'm loving it. An interview is so much more engaging when the interviewer has clearly done his research, read the book, digested it, and then thought of how to structure the interview. Some of the questions blow my mind as much as the answers. As a former corporate slave myself, I find it inspirational.
Heroic for me is live a simple Life and be grateful as there is a lot of suffering in ths world - we need to share the light ..Lord, make me an instrument of your peace..Where there is darkness, light, Let's Stitch the net of peace together GREETINGS FROM BARCELONA THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION RICH
Matthew has always had my respect for his talent and career. He now has my admiration for seeking the truth and being so articulate with it. Thank you for this.
To me Matthew is a Hero, the decision he made of not selling himself to the Hollywood mafia, standing up to bullies, even sacrificing economic gain to keep his unique identity, that takes good moral principles and courage. Those two attributes are characteristics of a true hero💖Besides this, he is a good family man, looks like a good father, and an amazing actor ! Good Looks fade with time, a good heart , beats with you till the end.
@Double u OhEnA No. I am not Joking. I don’t get into the habit of disparaging someone without any proof. I did not find anything whatsoever about M.McConaughey telling people to harm themselves. On the contrary, I did find a PODCAST he participated, encouraging people to love themselves, where Matthew opens himself as a regular human being, good and compassionate. He is speaking the truth about Dr.Fauci, we have the right to know what we should be doing for our safety, a list to protect ourselves. We can all look in our own mirrors , see ourselves for what we stand, fact check our goals, analyze our priorities. I agree with Matthew, we all have something to share, an experience to help someone else live better. Understand that we are all individual, but we can all work together too. America offers the opportunities to improve ourselves, take the leap of faith, go for it, give your best to others, because on being kind and selfless, you are giving yourself your best shot. That is his message, I find it truly inspiring 💖
I appreciate the free spirit hunger for continuing to become. The hunger for shutting out noise. Living in Maui by the ocean in a modest home is so easy to shut out noise as well as new information. I can't imagine being a public figure and being able to still hear the whispers of wisdom. Matthew has been so wonderful for me personally. Even down to his clothing line. JKL (Just Keep Living) i has stage 4 cancer and wore his sweatshirt daily. Fixing myself in the mirror after being sick and seeing. Just Keep Living. I thought many times. That's all I have to do right now. Taking away all required mindset to just focus on living! Mahalo Nui Loa Matthew.
Two kindred spirits having a real heart to heart - enjoyed this and have so much respect for Matthew and how he thinks. He’s in touch with himself and knows what is important in life. Being a good dad and husband and also his own best friend. He’s refreshing !
Loved all of this! Speaking of heroes or being heroic, my sense is that each and EVERYONE who makes the choice to come to earth for this experience is a hero! No easy ride is this planet Gaia! Bless all who do!
I love the fact that Matthew talks about being happy in the past and revisiting those times just to realign considering what he does for a a living. Hollywood isn't a real life some celebrities understand and cope with it when others get hooked and fall.
We're all "feeling our way through the darkness guided by a beating heart". Hopefully we're stumbling and fumbling our way towards an evolving set of principles and values that enable us to take decisive steps down the obscure path that lies ahead. While ensuring our steps are cleaner and less messy than our previous strides. Each of us have strides and stumbles that our specific to each and every one of us. By taking the time to genuinely understand people's foot prints, no matter the altitude. Our lives become infused with grace, empathy, and curiosity.
I truly enjoyed this interview. I did not know Matthew this way. He really has the right approach to self-discovery, accountability, and the view to life.
OUCH! “ A forced winter of introspection…“ No I did not want to look inside, I found every distraction possible, but it caught up with me anyway because, “the Phoenix doesn’t rise...” until she burns! Thanks guys, I needed to hear that!
Back in the day thats the way we were brought up just the way it was , maybe a bit harsh, but it made us accountable responsibility and respectful . Period !!!! I raised my kids a bit different myself, never laid a hand on them, conversation and consequences were installed. Mindset of gratitude is essential, never take anything for granted. Live the here and now, yesterday is now, tomorrow doesn’t exists. Life circumstances is a daily retrieve, we find ourself in the serves of others.
Being a parent in 2020 is heroic. The choices you make today are built on past lessons learned. You absolutely don’t want to tie your children to any of the past. That’s heroic. And it’s the truth. Kudos to your wife Matthew.
His take on "you have to spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder checking to see if someone's in the room who you lied, cheated, and stole from" is actually scientifically studied and is known as actual 'karma' or the psychological weight of what we feel we owe to the world at any given moment. Each person carries around the conscious weight of what they feel like they owe to themselves and society and doing a lot of bad and evil things eventually puts a crushing weight on you.
I stumbled on this interview and couldn’t be happier. So many opportunities to think more deeply about our journey through life. Lots of meat here. Matthew, you are inspiring me to take a solo journey to slow down, process and open up the autobahn.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Mathew for doing your inner work, and finding the compassion to share your message of love...Love is in all those things you talked about...Forgveness, listening to others, also in holding each other accountable. Please keep sharing your message!
I just found this last night- and went to check out his astrology chart and found out it’s his birthday today 😊.... really great interview thank you- really inspiring to see someone with a high profile really checking into his truth, and bringing it. Ack, looking forward to read his book, we need these lighthouses in the public eye more than ever right now as the world is balancing so precariously on the integrity cliff 💜👍
• So similar to how I traverse life. • Tough love, sometimes necessary. • face your fears and use them for your benefit...positives. • instill values. • Take responsibility for your choices and love yourself and others
“Open up the autobahn between your head and your heart” 💎. “Dissect when I felt successful and happy rather than just go dissect failures” 💥 “We need resistance to find structure, to create form”. 🌸
This interview gave me goosebumps it reminded me of my introspection and growth journey. Matthew has chosen to use his platform to impart his wisdom and for those that are awake will understand and embrace it while others dismiss it. So invaluable. 🙏👍💙
I learn so much from Matthew and Jim Carrey. Actually, the both of them chatting would be super interesting. Thank you, Rich, for your valuable channel.
See however they got rich ... That's the ticket.. Big egos how I figure and some bravery all things considered in realty and a giant need for attention and self glorification plus box office...just wondering.
One of the cleanest interviews of truth and honesty I've listened and relistened to ... Appreciate all the nuggets I've taken away from not only your perspective of life Matthew, but the way in which Rich went about this interview ... Bravo to you both on sharing these values 🍃 thank you 🍃
Love " fasting from yes!!!" He could have overindulged but, instead, he chose to be conscious about the new territory of success!!! Love that humanity and tend to accept his visibility with ease.
I agree. Each individual needs to be selfish in the right way. Selfish in the way so that what they do helps them become better people and therefore helps the world around them. Great Interview all around!
3 yrs later. Thank you for this from uk- the amount of fake crap for the kids of today on social media is terrible (jack dockerty etc). Matthew is a great man/husband/dad,friend an so humble an real.. he inspires folk in there lifes an that itself is a gift - 3yrs ltr..respect rich 🤝🙏
The benefit of this "era of information exchange", as I would define it, is that we get to hear from other humans, learn from the examples we see of how to be a good human to ourselves and just as importantly, to other humans. IMO having the mindset of intention to be a good human carries through us and to those around us. We need to allow ourselves our mistakes and learn that they do not define us, they are only lessons to be learned. Life is about learning from day one, getting past negative mindset as much as we can and having conversations to support each other on the journey. Be well, care for yourselves, show that you care for others, encourage conversation with others, support yourselves and others. Peace to all humans.
Loved this! I love how Matthew said choices of character are long-term choices and you don’t always see the results immediately but they are cumulative. So many golden nuggets in this interview!! Thank you guys!
Blessed be the man that recognizes humility but more so of a man that acknowledges it. Experience .... well spoken Matthew. Being native Texan honestly evokes introspection.
Jesus Christ went to the Mount of Olives (meditation) to be alone with His inner God often. Be still was his message...peace is within. Bless you both. xx
Life is not a dress rehearsal, so we need to 'forgive and move forward!'. When we stop, we miss life...we miss joy, we miss happiness, and we miss opportunities by waiting. What are you waiting for? The time will never be perfect!
Rich Roll, you really are the man. Your input and ability to direct these conversations is AS enjoyable and profound as anything spoken by your guests. Thank you for all you do... this podcast helps me more than I could say and offers so much to all who listen.
Sheer brilliance - everything resonates Matthew is in alignment & so his wife 🧘🏾♀️ “she told him to go off/away & be with yourself” & then Matthew stripped himself down to just being (no email, mobile-calls etc) actually done it for me because detachment & knowing that one doesn’t need anything is the highest level of consciousness 🙏🏽even Rich’s interview style “take a bow 👏🏽👏🏽” so much appreciation & now you have my vibration co-creating “Namaste”
I’ve never seen a more important message than this one ...Thank you 🙏, This is Pure Gold, and will watch again and again. So many nuggets of generous, life changing ideas.
I’ve watched so many of these interviews from Mathew’s press run from the book as well as listening to the book. That being said it’s insane how he will still give you more substance and different thoughts on all of them.
i think there are people in life that---it doesn't matter how "big" they get/become....they don't ever get too big for their own britches....and matthew is one of those people....he doesn't just talk the talk---he walks the walk and to/for me, people like that are my "hero's." centered, humble, reflective, aware of who/what you are....warts and all....self tweeking when needed and keep trying for a better self. doesn't neeeeed to be on a grandiose scale....just on the scale of your needs and life and your fellow humans....there's people that cross your path and ya feel like you need a shower!!----and then there's those that make ya wanna stop and smell the flowers...THAT'S matthew to me.
Being a good father is definitely heroic!!! wow... it's such a major thing to be a good father!! To me, if you are a good father then you are a hero! That's huge!!!!!!!
bingo bingo bingo!!! solitude is the answer.. decided to walk 10-15m every single day through the Chicago winter last year no matter the weather and recovered the mental, physical, and spiritual losses that happened over 20 years of substance abuse.. Still walking 5m daily outside minimum 14 months later.. #connectedtoquatumsource #downloaded #wholeness #ridethewave
I've always believed we all need a solitude but Im just seen an an introvert. People are afraid to be with themselves only. Keep doing that, I need to walk through snow one of these days
@@iheartjbgccb Yep I noticed that about myself when I couldn't meditate for 10 minutes.. Not saying everyone should become complete introverts but I think we have a lot of ego masks running around and it is not serving the individuals or collective.
I read green lights, Amazing Book. I have a high respect for Matthew for speaking his truth, even when to some it may sound like BS. I have to say if there is ever someone famous I would want to meet its Matthew. Knowledge of self is something that some of us will never truly understand. I am not famous, I will probably never spend 22 days walking with myself, but I would love to have that opportunity to really truly know ME. Keep being an amazing person Matthew, it definitely resonated with me..Green Light
I really appreciate people who are further down the path of living their best life helping others get their lives on the right track ❤️ thanks Matthew, Rich and the person who shared this video ❤️
I’ve watched a bunch of Mr.McConaughey’s Greenlights interviews and always enjoy them but yours is the first that really highlights the book and make me want to read it. There is a generosity in the way you interact with people and it’s inspiring. 🙏🏼
I remember being smacked by my mother, but I also know that I deserved at the time, I'm not broken and I love my mum more than anything and I know she loves me.....we have to get real, life isn't always easy and the sooner you learn that the better....
What a conversation. I felt immersed in it and I've learned a lot. Took a few notes along the way. Two incredible wisdom men, thank you Rich for your incredible questions and leading this powerful/inspirational conversation. "Be less impressed and more involved". I'll remember this one for a very long time.
oh my word yes children need to learn resilience I taught tens of thousands of children you can see the children who have been wrapped in cotton wool.. I was so so lucky to be able to roam the streets to climb fo from high trees and test yourself I agree with Matthew we were so free to be children it was wonderful.... In the schools where the children are freer you see resilience and spirit forming. We need to give children the space to be able to mess up ..They also need to break away and not be controlled to the nth degree by the parents as they gain no sense of who they are I saw so many children over parented.. OUr children come through us and not for us >As we have fe fwere children we make them more precious thats the downsside today... I wrote my book REMEMBER WHO YOU TRULY ARE thats on amazon to help anyone who needs to find themselves at this time Namaste Sally
This was truly the best Podcast Matthew did Rich. Well done, the dude is inspiring the heck out of me. Going through intellectual transformation and realize in the past few weeks that I haven’t even started to sit with all of this. He brought it to the point, thanks for letting him speak.
@Matthew McConaugheyConnect I just spent four hours watching numerous video interviews and I am totally inspired. I needed this pick me up. And Rich Roll is a great interviewer! I'm in a brief funk since my dad just passed away. Thanks for being so human, inspired, reflective and positive!!!
Wow! I’m at 59:00 so impressed by your awareness! I’m 58 , started to dismantle my whole life at 50. I’m single the last 8 years, exactly because of what you state. I see this so prevalent in relationships around me , and they are so bitter deep down and complain about the other behind the scenes. Quite frankly, it’s hard to find a human being this aware in Vero beach Fl 😆Million thanks for your wonderful interview!
Beautiful that you're on that journey Annie 💜💜it's full of life's greatest rewards. Well done for questioning things. Takes tremendous courage in a world that wants to prevent us from finding our own power.
Even here in Vero there are those who value introspection, consistently challenge their beliefs, choose change over status quo and respect each one’s life journey.
The answer "Because I said so", used to drive me crazy!!! My parents said the same thing about me as a child, lol! Although, being a lawyer didn't feel right to me. When I got older, seeking peace, wisdom, joy truth & love, rather than fighting for what I believe in. Realizing that I was creating my own reality through my beliefs, brought forth an allowance, opposed to.. "the fight".💓
Words can’t describe how much I needed to hear this podcast right now. I feel a little bit lighter... a little more saner in such a heavy time in humanity. In short, I feel hopeful and I haven’t felt this way in a while. Thanks, Rich Roll and thank you, Matthew!
How is self reliance like church? What if I am missing something. Or broken by my circumstances. I need Jesus. To come into my heart. When I read who He is I can become like Him. Btw. He always honored the seventh day sabbath created in the garden of Eden. Where does sun day observance comes from.

It’s definitely heroic to be a good father because if everyone were a good father we would not need as many heroes.

Matthew McConaughey is a good man, a lover of peace. 👍
I really like this “Be less impressed & more involved”. I beg that he never enters politics b/c his character may insidiously be altered.
Yes, we all need to spend more time with ourselves Matthew 🙏🏻
I agree they are both so very well spoken I enjoy listening to them and being surprised to find how insightful they both have become.
See however they got rich ...
That's the ticket..
Big egos how I figure and some bravery all things considered in realty and a giant need for attention and self glorification plus box office...just wondering.
Thank you so much.....where as you from?
A good father is a hero to me! I know God has his hand on you Mathew!
One of the cleanest interviews of truth and honesty I've listened and relistened to ... Appreciate all the nuggets I've taken away from not only your perspective of life Matthew, but the way in which Rich went about this interview ... Bravo to you both on sharing these values 🍃 thank you 🍃
Thanks Carol it's I pleasure.....where are you from?
Love " fasting from yes!!!" He could have overindulged but, instead, he chose to be conscious about the new territory of success!!! Love that humanity and tend to accept his visibility with ease.
I agree. Each individual needs to be selfish in the right way. Selfish in the way so that what they do helps them become better people and therefore helps the world around them. Great Interview all around!
I love how you phrased that ❤️
@Y Y thank you :) glad you got something from it
@@ivonnelopez8203 thank you so much......where are you from....America?
3 yrs later. Thank you for this from uk- the amount of fake crap for the kids of today on social media is terrible (jack dockerty etc). Matthew is a great man/husband/dad,friend an so humble an real.. he inspires folk in there lifes an that itself is a gift - 3yrs ltr..respect rich 🤝🙏
This interview is so full of wisdom.
Humility = Knowing I have more to learn
This is the best thing that happened to the internet today! Thank you Rich!
Bless you both. xx
His ‘inner God?’ I’m sorry but that is not scripturally accurate whatsoever. Please don’t project theosophy/occult knowledge onto the Word of God.
Bravo! A message of positivity, accountability, and empowerment is exactly what is needed in this time!
This is one of the most beneficial conversations I’ve heard I a long time…the honesty and beauty is a gift to everyone listening
I listened to the first 15mins and knew he was a fellow Scorpio!!!!! Buying his book NOW ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, let’s chase our better selves!!! A better America! Thank you both for great enlightenments and foresight!
I love MATTHEW even more!!!!
thank you for being vulnerable and sharing so deeply yes i need a break and listen to my heart more then my head. Good for you. Stay lit Stay Woke AF.
"Chase your better Self" So sick
Really mate that is the sentence that attracted you 🤣..

i think there are people in life that---it doesn't matter how "big" they get/become....they don't ever get too big for their own britches....and matthew is one of those people....he doesn't just talk the talk---he walks the walk and to/for me, people like that are my "hero's." centered, humble, reflective, aware of who/what you are....warts and all....self tweeking when needed and keep trying for a better self. doesn't neeeeed to be on a grandiose scale....just on the scale of your needs and life and your fellow humans....there's people that cross your path and ya feel like you need a shower!!----and then there's those that make ya wanna stop and smell the flowers...THAT'S matthew to me.
Oh as an “essential” worker, how I longed for the break to take inventory. It was a season of busy-ness and no extra time to begin again and reflect.
Being a good father is definitely heroic!!! wow... it's such a major thing to be a good father!! To me, if you are a good father then you are a hero! That's huge!!!!!!!
What a great story teller of all times...
Two wise men sharing wisdom and knowledge!
bingo bingo bingo!!! solitude is the answer.. decided to walk 10-15m every single day through the Chicago winter last year no matter the weather and recovered the mental, physical, and spiritual losses that happened over 20 years of substance abuse.. Still walking 5m daily outside minimum 14 months later.. #connectedtoquatumsource #downloaded #wholeness #ridethewave
That's awesome knowledge to hear. Well done.
Amazing, this made my day
Have just started walking regularly and was beginning to wonder if the healing was real. Thank you for confirming. 👼🙏🏻. And congrats 🌸
I got the book . And love it. He gets grounded he knows about high vibrations ... he is a light being
Yes! Each one of us is responsible for collective change.
I remember being smacked by my mother, but I also know that I deserved at the time, I'm not broken and I love my mum more than anything and I know she loves me.....we have to get real, life isn't always easy and the sooner you learn that the better....
Matthew is a scorpio and his young wisdom and questioning of what he was told comes from that. Just an observation from a fellow scorpion lol
What a conversation. I felt immersed in it and I've learned a lot. Took a few notes along the way. Two incredible wisdom men, thank you Rich for your incredible questions and leading this powerful/inspirational conversation. "Be less impressed and more involved". I'll remember this one for a very long time.
He is an awesome individual and I see his passing on of wisdom as selfless. Inspirational and motivational
oh my word yes children need to learn resilience I taught tens of thousands of children you can see the children who have been wrapped in cotton wool..
"God makes humble, devil humiliates".
its in Scripture
Wow
Stewardship with life and friendship at its finest.🎧🎤💙
Please keep being humble. That's the main virtue within wisdom. Will be in touch.
This was truly the best Podcast Matthew did Rich. Well done, the dude is inspiring the heck out of me. Going through intellectual transformation and realize in the past few weeks that I haven’t even started to sit with all of this. He brought it to the point, thanks for letting him speak.
Appreciate that Stefanie:)
💜
@Matthew McConaugheyConnect I just spent four hours watching numerous video interviews and I am totally inspired. I needed this pick me up. And Rich Roll is a great interviewer! I'm in a brief funk since my dad just passed away. Thanks for being so human, inspired, reflective and positive!!!
When you experience a father doing a bad job, you believe 100% a loving father is a hero! It was a hero choice those dads made
@@J.Moyine thank you for your wonderful feedback and encouragement, very much appreciated 🥰
Even here in Vero there are those who value introspection, consistently challenge their beliefs, choose change over status quo and respect each one’s life journey.
@@Seedsofchange5684 😂👏☺️
The answer "Because I said so", used to drive me crazy!!! My parents said the same thing about me as a child, lol! Although, being a lawyer didn't feel right to me. When I got older, seeking peace, wisdom, joy truth & love, rather than fighting for what I believe in. Realizing that I was creating my own reality through my beliefs, brought forth an allowance, opposed to.. "the fight".💓
How you explained, spoke to your son about respect is how I speak to my grandsons about life. Confirmation affirmed.
Words can’t describe how much I needed to hear this podcast right now. I feel a little bit lighter... a little more saner in such a heavy time in humanity. In short, I feel hopeful and I haven’t felt this way in a while. Thanks, Rich Roll and thank you, Matthew!
The only hope for mankind a vegan diet! #govegan #compassion
I love that McConaughey likes Emerson! Self Reliance is like church!!!
How is self reliance like church? What if I am missing something. Or broken by my circumstances. I need Jesus. To come into my heart. When I read who He is I can become like Him. Btw. He always honored the seventh day sabbath created in the garden of Eden. Where does sun day observance comes from.
