I am from india the amount to order this table is too expensive in india $ 1950 dollar is equal to 2 lakh in india amount i would like to buy it but every expensive can u please adjust the price or sell it in other platform
You have to market this to the D&D community. Hex and Grid tables are ubiquitous in pen and paper gaming now, and if you could make something similar to match the scale of existing figures, props, and gear, probably at a standard table height, that comfortably seated four to six people, you would find an audience for the design.
I legit thought this was designed specifically for D&D when I first saw it. I kinda want one for our monthly game night, actually, but there's no way I could afford it.
Ya, but you also need a signal you can place in small objects, and the ability to control the lighted color when that object is detected. THEN you can have different characters light up with their own assigned colors on the table. ;)
a suggestion would be to add wireless charging into the areas that have the octogons removed as a visual indicator of where the charger is since quite a few things now at days wirelessly charge
This is really nice. A 60-70" wide by 30-35" deep version with an uncolored frosted epoxy and controllable RGB lighting would probably sell like crazy with the PC Gaming community. Might need a way to shut-off some sensors so they aren't on 24/7 from the mousepad, keyboard, monitor, or tower.
@@DrinbevorBernd It actually wasn't that expensive. Less than a lot of the variable height gaming desks. I don't know if it's still for sale though since the Kickstarter didn't reach its goal.
@@DrinbevorBernd that's what I thought, wonderful idea, beautiful tables and lighting, but probably out of the price range of most people. Great for custom orders from people with money. What they showed in no way looked even close to mass production capable. I love the wood but I think it might be more feasible to 3d print, or leave the wood out and do some kind of stone, resin, or plastic molded pieces in it's place, to lessen the cost of materials and most importantly time. The wood they start out with looked around 50% gone by the time the product was finished. My guess was that that table was going to be in the 5-10k range, mainly due to build time per unit.
@@DrinbevorBernd i'm sorry that you are poor. but there are PLENTY of people able to pay that for a table. the thing is nobody wants the table because it's not smart. not programmable. and it's an always on kind of thing so it will get annoying REALLY FAST it should only respond to movement. not something that is permanently placed.
Amazing concept. Your target audience is nerds specifically those in tech as I'd imagine this isn't going to be cheap. Table top games is one option that a lot of people have mentioned but the other being an IOT desk. Taking the sensors and connecting them to like a rasberry pi would allow programmability You could then install a switch to cycle through a few preset options like breathing patterns etc. But using a raspberry pi for processing would allow your users which i'd imagine a good deal of them being very tech savy could then program each capacitive button to their liking. IE smart home commands. volume controls, lighting, weather alerts. Would be interesting to see the table top being sold as is allowing the user to build or contract the rest of the desk/table to their liking.

I had multiple subscriptions on so many platforms, but in the end, they all are boring and non can make you feel good instantly .... content like these on TH-cam are gold.
Damn! I wasn’t actually planning on sitting through ~15 mins of a table being made, but that was thoroughly great, and the finished product was better than the screenshot let on. Thanks for sharing part of the process. Ya know, if you had this attached to an App that enabled user scripting and apis, you could have your own market. Imagine a P2P chess app that connected users with challenge level filter. Could tap a corner to connect to the ‘lobby’ / broadcast availability, then whoever accepted responds and both tables pulse till they hit begin. But whatever, many other uses so the open script / open api is the key, much like a game enabling mods. Your quality looks good, so this would help sell at the price range you’re probably targeting, and gain some dedicated customers. Maybe you don’t need to include a RPi, but allow a space for one with a standard interconnect. Aaanyways, thanks for an interesting video, and a little inspiration to go with it.

I don’t even know if this comment will post as I haven’t posted on here in at least a decade, but this is the first thing I’ve seen in a long time that is truly amazing. Very nice to see that there are people inventing things, instead of just reinventing what someone already did💪🏻

Absolutely beautiful. I was confused about the aluminum rings until I realized they were holding the LED strips - of course, heat sinks. Those strips can get toasty. (I got some years ago, very early in their availability, and had rigged a spiral of the stuff around a PVC pipe as a color-changing lamp, and it definitely got things smelling like toasted plastic.)

I have tons of the newer style block vu meter displays that sit on tripods... They have various modes and colors.. One at every speaker. 2 are inside glass skulls...

What a great idea, if I may suggest a couple of things? perhaps add a few charging ports for cellphones/tablets, and a RGB option to change the colors? perhaps even a bluetooth function so you can control it via iphone/android. This would be great around holidays, or for special family events. If you also add the option for a glass top, it would prevent anyone from scratching the epoxy which is the main reason I don't use my epoxy table for my laptop or eating on. I put a glass top on it and that took care of the risk of scratches. Great job! I can only imagine how many hours for development and implementation it took you.

Nice end product, but I shiver at the thought of fixing any electrical issue down the road (don't think this is a throwaway kind of product) because of the messy wiring job.

I'm not sure if its possible but maybe you could get the touch loops printed on custom pcb instead and have the lights mounted on the same PCB as a single board, maybe on the back side. Then just have one connector for each board.
Would be awesome to see the solid colors be used as identicators for wireless charging spots. Not sure if that would interfere with the sensors however

I just came across this video, and trublgrl's comment is solid. You should have marketed this to the PC gaming community, and not just for tables. Mirrors, wall panels...anything. Also, the possibility of repairs needs to be considered, with more effective cable management. Something this expensive cannot be just thrown away if one of the wires shorts. Will you be able to make this table for anyone who wishes to make a custom order? The 'Artist' links on your channel don't all work.
You can see in the end that the refined product has cable bundles instead of cable nests, I think the video was showing the making of the prototype\version 1 as ordered by someone. not to mention it'd be cheaper for them to use the refined version they showed than it is to handle the mess of wires that is the first table.

I had this idea about 15 years ago, but our idea went beyond what you guys got in this design, Your design is absolutely spot on and I am sure Clubs, Pubs, Wine Bars will absolutely love to have this as part of their attraction. Our design was more like an interactice Computer Screen that interacts with the people at the table/wall. We build games, menus, messaging (like whatsapp) show what is on the table by implanting tags into glasses, plates, cups etc. So the table will constantly know what is on it and as a bonus who it belongs too. It also had the ability to trac friends inside and outside the clubs to make sure the group knew exactly were they went (perfect for female security). We also designed some walls which can interact with other venues, the idea was popular with clubs who had live bands and wanted to share their event with other clubs so they could sell more tickets etc. Well other than proof of concept our idea never saw the light of day because I emigrated to another country, so the idea died with me.
This is amazing - I've been watching a lot of epoxy table/sculpture videos on youtube recently and was NOT expecting that much wiring! 😅 some of the high-end ones sell for upwards of $40,000 and obviously, the woods used are generally up to $5000 for the slab alone but if I had the money available for this kickstarter, I would 100% be backing it! This is the perfect combination of great craftsmanship and geeky furniture for me!

When I saw the amount of wiring I started getting dubious and well gg, didn't expect it to come out so amazing. Edit : sad to see the kickstarted says the funding failed, I expected it to be twice as expensive ngl.
ofcourse it didn't pick up on kickstarter. it's not a fucking smart table. (that suggests the ability of programming and this is just proximity activated leds) and NOBODY wants to have a table that is constantly lit up like this when something is ontop of it. it should for example only get turned on for a few seconds when you place something down and then turn off again. it's simply a well executed, terrible idea.

What would take this to the next level would be to make a game out of it. Players would have different colors and when you placed their pieces on the board (table) I would change to their color. Would have to put some sort of memory in each piece that would hold their color code. When placed on the table that specific spot would have to read the piece and change to the color. Then just create the game from there.
@@Gingerjuli That is what I thought it was going to be too, some sort of gamer table. This is some amazing craftsmanship and is very cool but a light up table is a novelty that will get old quickly and only be used if you are having groups over and what to show it off for a minute. A table that could also be a functional game table will never not be useful.

Back in 2008 the original Microsoft Surface was an interactive touch screen table that could be used for games and all other kinds of applications. No Thanks to the video creator for not answering your question. Instead placing an ad as answer LoL. Some one other answered the question and said it looks like TTP223 capacitive motion sensor. Hope it will help you.
As cool as this build is, I want to see detailed plans for how you can scale this work up before I pledge for it. Looks like its going to be one of these where you manage to build one and have no idea how to go about making 500, burn through the KS money in 2 years trying to figure that out and then nothing.
especially considering their campaign started in january of last year and their funding period ended in january of this year. You can't even donate anymore. They raised $5,889 of their $90,000 goal. The irony of them hearting this comment is palpable
damn savage. is this mr wonderfull for shark tank? XD valid points though. the kickstarter failed due to their bad leadership. no planning. even the basic design of the table is bad. all that they demonstrated is that they are great at making something look flawless. so good at manual labor and finishing.
@@darkracer1252 It's common sense though bro, a lot of people can figure out how to build something cool, but very few manage to scale up production of that. In fact its like a 1000 times harder, even if you dont automate, hiring and managing a bunch of staff to assemble it for you is already hard. So if they barely got the product to work then you can imagine how far they will be to achieve mass production. On KS a lot of people face the realities of this situation for the first time after already receiving payment and having real commitments on product with delivery date to customers.
Sweet project! Would you consider selling the electronics as a kit? I have the furniture skills, but not the electronics. I checked out the Kickstarter, but it looks like I was too late. Great job
The electronics are fairly simple. They used a touch sensor TTP223 as a switch on each light, they extended its range with the wire ring they made first (not the aluminium ring they mounted the lights to, the wire ring. The TTP223 is the red circuit board you can see at each circle. The ttp223 is a switch that turns the lights on. So its just a basic lighting circuit with a switch. The ttp223 can be operated in multiple ways depending on which jumpers you set it to. They are using a proximity setting. The wire ring acts as aerial to extend the range. Add in a few resistors to correct the power, voltage and current from the dc supply to the LEDS and or relays so the switch can carry a smaller current than the leds, a tranformer to convert ac power to dc power at the plug, some fuses and you are done.
@@theskyabove1 there are a few versions of it brad. From the data sheets i have looked at, no. But you can program a micro controller in arduino to do that for a variable timer or you can make a simple delay off timer with a capacitor, an npn transistor and another resistor or two. By changing the capacitor size, you change the discharge rate and hence the power off time. There are also many other timer circuits you could look up depending on how elaborate you want it.

Exactly what the world needs now, also reading from all the comments! Let's wire our tables up with a large amount of LEDs and fill them with epoxy, to offer people short-term pleasures. Great vision for the future. Apologies for my negativity; I know it's unproductive. It's better to seek out and support craftsmen and designers that work in more ecologically sound directions, but these seem to be hard to find.
Very amazing. It is so marvelous the way engineering of the wiring of the Table was performed. Can I have a one so that my people will see it. Hahaha, keep it up.
Wow! One of the most exciting results of thousands of videos I've seen about resin tables!...keep on create! Just a question: each light module works with each other so that the light isn t produced by external current?... In few words :the table is not linked to external current by cables, isn't it?... Because I'm wondering if I can obtain a similar results by buying some quantistics lights that works by touch but in the same time need external links.
I am soo intrigued by every one of the video's I've seen on y'all's page so far that I had to share them on my Facebook page so I can always go back and watch them again! 👏
loved the lighting,, hated the fact you chose not to burn the tabletop rather than an awful stain.. it could have been epic had a touch of artistry been used with that fantastic tech design

THEN you can have different characters light up with their own assigned colors on the table. ;)
Certainly
I thought this was a new wrymwood table or promotion until I saw the ending, I'm surprised they haven't reached out to you guys yet.
what community? Cause Ivebbeen lookong for people who play D&D and they dont actually exist. Not anymore.
a suggestion would be to add wireless charging into the areas that have the octogons removed as a visual indicator of where the charger is since quite a few things now at days wirelessly charge
Most wont be able to afford it.
@@DrinbevorBernd i'm sorry that you are poor.
but there are PLENTY of people able to pay that for a table.
the thing is nobody wants the table because it's not smart. not programmable.
and it's an always on kind of thing so it will get annoying REALLY FAST
it should only respond to movement. not something that is permanently placed.

But as a consumer & person who can’t stop thinking “why stop there?” (brain injury side effects), combining not only Style with what’s essentially a beautiful nightlight, building in touch phone chargers, laptop chargers, touch sensors to turn lights on and off (in another room, patio, etc) & even a heads up display, for a clock, temperature outside, the possibilities are endless.

I've serviced pinball machines and that wire nest was giving me anxiety

Don't laugh, but I cried a little at the finished shot. Everything in this project is right in my wheelhouse but I never knew this was a thing humans could make, well done guys.
I'd love to learn how to make something like this. What sensors were used?
@@DashingAxe bot
I love this table. My only issue is you dont have a price for one table. I've currently been waiting over a year for a backed project which is rediculous, so I dont care much for that process. I'd rather just get a table commissioned separately. And I know alot of people who would want this.
my mans just got left on read
I want one. I'll happily pay for a real product and not just a cool Kickstarter video
The authors of the project are citizens of Belarus. They buy their products from Russia, which is now waging unprovoked and aggressive war against Ukraine. In addition, the territory of Belarus is used to bring Russian troops into Ukraine, and these troops kill civilians and commit war crimes and crimes against humanity. The airfields of Belarus freely provide an opportunity for the Russian air force to kill civilians in Ukraine, committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. The authors of the project buy part of their materials in Russia. Thus, their activities are supported through taxes by the terrorist state and their armed forces. The authors of the project did not say anything about war crimes that are committed with their tacit consent and with their financial support as taxpayers.
Do not support terrorist states, their citizens, and allies!
I could imagine how cool would be to have such floor in house! But even table is sick!

This is the best epoxy LED table i've seen yet! Great job!! What's the touch sensor module called? I'd love to use it to build LED steps in my garden :D

@@seventeenraccoonsinatrenchcoat They've liked every comment on this video, not sure if they read every comment...
damn savage. is this mr wonderfull for shark tank? XD
valid points though.
the kickstarter failed due to their bad leadership.
no planning. even the basic design of the table is bad.
all that they demonstrated is that they are great at making something look flawless.
so good at manual labor and finishing.
Great job
About 20 people would buy it. And 18 of them would sit on shelves and never get used.
I would use it. I also have the furniture skills... I have an epoxy table but I just use strip LED lights. But those lights are way better😁
Can the ttp223 be programmed to fade the LEDs off after a few seconds like the ones in the video?
@@theskyabove1 there are a few versions of it brad. From the data sheets i have looked at, no. But you can program a micro controller in arduino to do that for a variable timer or you can make a simple delay off timer with a capacitor, an npn transistor and another resistor or two. By changing the capacitor size, you change the discharge rate and hence the power off time. There are also many other timer circuits you could look up depending on how elaborate you want it.
The sounds, the technology and illustrations are so calming and awe aspiring. 💯💯💯

Fantastic job!! One question - How did you made capacitive sensor activate with empty glass and plates? (15:51 )
Stolen video from russian wood worker chanel - Лихой Топор.
@@GPfAnubis Compare the publication date and views count, Sherlock. Not to mention all the "russian" tools they use in the video. "Лихой Топор" clearly has stolen parts of this video, showing off as their work and even the logo. They used it to advertise some shitty epoxy and Chinese tools.
Wow, looks amazing!
But soo much work with the cables! I hope the cable is waterproof and stuff. Would be devastating if one of those cables would get damaged and break the circuit.
I like good repairability but it looks awesome.
Hi! Incredible job you have done. Well done!!! Are the electrical plans available somewhere or is it confidential? Thanks
Unfortunately, this is a small secret. As a result, we have developed modules that we manufacture at the factory. Our channel is at the very beginning of development, your support is very important to us, the best way to support us is to share the video on any network or show it to your friends, this is very important for us, thank you!!!
@@DashingAxe would you sell any of the modules for lile a home kit as I'm currently making a hexagonal inlay on a wooden table for my reptile room and this would look amazing if I could inpliment it,
@@DashingAxe Are all the LED connected in serial? If so one fail all fails?
Sweet build! With a bit more marketing (and perhaps some design tweaks to speak more appropriately to the market), this could be a massive sucess!!
Not commercially viable. Too much work and material. The ones who want this can't afford it. Those who can afford it won't buy it.
@@tornadoswe With some tweaking this is the exact type of product that the PC Gaming community would buy. Their Kickstarter had the tiers that get you a table up around $1700-$2000 and that's the price point a lot of gamers would drop for something like this.
@@GamingWolfGod I'm glad you know so many extremely rich gamers. I don't know anyone who , after getting a decent gaming rig, has 1700 + to put on a table. That's not even talking about the space needed.
@@tornadoswe First off maybe don't sound like a jackass when replying to people.
Second, the tweaking I was referring to was adjustments to make it more in-line with a computer desk instead of a coffee table.
And Third, there's quite a large number of people who would ABSOLUTELY buy an RGB version of this as a desk for $1700+. These are people who spend $3000+ on a PC because they want it to look cool. They spend $500+ triple monitors and spend $500 on fancy gaming chairs that offer nothing special outside of looking cool, they spend $600-$1000 on motorized standing desks.
Very beautiful masterpiece 💕 and soon you'll be making rainbow coloured lighting system too or ombre styles ❤️ You guys are super talented and hard working 👏 It would look amazing in disco and bars too!!
Just imagine if they made multiple layers each with integrated circuitry, LED displays, with censors to do certain things, little screens amongst the animated objects, motors, etc… I could go in and on. Lol

This is awesome!! I have a few questions.
1. What is the purpose of those few "empty hex spaces" in the top?
2. How long in hours did the whole project take NOT including design time?
3. Did you design the touch logic yourselves?
4. If I promise to clean up after myself, can you adopt me and teach me cool things?
Parabéns amigo ficou muito legal

This table is absolutely amazing n a work of art...how much would a table like this cost a customer? I'm a artist myself n I'm blown away by this. GREAT WORK👍🏾💪🏾🔥
You guys should look into COB strips and swap out the 5050's you use, they will be much much more bright and the lighting will be 100% smooth across the entirety of the table with not being able to spot individual LED's. Incredible design and craftsmanship.
This is an expensive table. How may hours? One-of-a-kind? Or one-man-production line?
RESPECT!
Lots of hours before this video began.
I'm wondering if they placed individual ICs for the hexagons or did a scanning type sensing like how touchscreen devices work. 🤔🤔
Como é feita a patente elétrica sensível ao toque ? Isso é um espetáculo, uma verdadeira obra de arte.
Such an easy diy project. All I need now is $30K worth of machinery, 5K in materials, 50 hours to kill, and I'll have one too!
Who sad it's easy?
Very amazing. It is so marvelous the way engineering of the wiring of the Table was performed. Can I have a one so that my people will see it. Hahaha, keep it up.
Wow! One of the most exciting results of thousands of videos I've seen about resin tables!...keep on create!
Just a question: each light module works with each other so that the light isn t produced by external current?... In few words :the table is not linked to external current by cables, isn't it?... Because I'm wondering if I can obtain a similar results by buying some quantistics lights that works by touch but in the same time need external links.
How does it work? What are the chips doing? Do they react to heat?
Amazing.
