I love mouse, but this is the first time that I refuse to give them my money until they get rid of the cut out especially at that price. I’ll stick to the basic Apple Silicon case until then the point of a case is to protect the phone, not leave parts of it exposed
I was disappointed with the ip13 cases as they got rid of the microfiber AND the sim card tray slot. I'm glad the microfiber is back, but the cut out was just pure lazy
I found you four years ago when I purchased my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Mous case was amazing. Here I am four years later, looking for the best case for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Of course, I will be using your links to make my purchase. Thank you for everything you do!
@@WooDeWow I decided to get the Flolab case that he rated as his #1. I’m having way more fun with the customizable buttons than I anticipated haha. The case seems strong. I rely on these videos and his testing.
@ aye okay! Good to know! yeah after seeing what everyone was saying about the Mous for iPhone 16 pro max I think ima return it , I just ordered the Flolab case and screen protector, and the orange and blue customization button and camera , definitely is cool. Just thought I’d ask since you been using Mous for a while and so have I . What case did you end up going with the clear or the transparent one ? White or black ? Also what color you do with your buttons ? Just curious !
@@WooDeWow I went with the FLOLAB Surtect Tri-Fusion Magnetic for iPhone 16 Series Phone Case Black Frame Matte Translucent. I picked the white iPhone, so the black frame with the white showing looks pretty cool. I've had the case for about a month now. I ordered MANY different buttons. I had a Thanksgiving themed color scheme with orange, yellow, and red, and now I've moved on to Advent, with purple and pink. Christmas might be a little bit harder, as the green is more yellowish lime green than a forest green, but it is distinct from the yellow, which is more like a daisy. I'll probably have black and yellow and a splash of purple for New Year's, black and orange for Halloween, etc. Basically, my phone will now mimic my holiday socks haha. For what it's worth, my original plan was to get orange and blue only, as I am a University of Virginia alum, so I think you're choosing well.
I'd recommend the Supcase "Unicorn Beetle Mag" or Spigen "Ultra Hybrid T MagFit," for those of you who are wanting the camera button control to be functional (and protected). I have the Supcase on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and my partner is using the Spigen on the 16 Pro. Each of them have a unique approach and fitting over the sapphire layer. No issues whatsoever with responsiveness on either case and personally, the Supcase is preferred, as the button is slightly raised as well. (Apologies if this is double-posted, I was on mobile.)
This is the case that I purchased, and it seems like one of the better notchless options (especially at only $19)... Now I just need my 16 Pro Max to get delivered, so I can test it .-.
@@kekekenny I’ve been using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle for a few days and really like it, it looks very clean in the green color on my Desert color phone I’m not the most enthusiastic about the Camera Control button, but wanted it to work for when I do use it, and with some getting used to it works perfectly fine with this case’s conductive button
hey man! I realized you didn't shown any leather case, I'm looking for one like that and I saw Vionentus got one but don't know about their quality, and not sure about any other model on amazon. Anyone knows?
I gifted my dad one last year, and he's kinda careless with some stuff, and actually the case it's really good! Just give it a try or return it if you doesnt like it then
I would thoroughly recommend the Shieldon leather range..the 15 and 16 versions have a detachable inner sleeve, so it is still protected when attached to a Magsafe charger. And yes, the camera control works fine. My friend who has a 16 Pro bought one. I have one for my 13..
He virtually never shares the results of the other cases, making these round-ups really limited. See all his other videos: tons of people ask, he has never shared his full data.
My last 3 iPhones (14 pro max, 15 pro max, and 16 pro max) have been rocking the Torras MagSafe Kickstand case and I love them. Strongest magnets I have tried (except for MagSafe case) and great all around protection. The 16 Pro max case doesn’t have a full cut out either. The kick stand is a life saver.
Thank you for this review. My iphone 13 has the Caudabe Sheath and Flolab screen protector that you recommended 3+ years ago. They have worked extraordinarily!!
I'm really disappointed in Mous. I basically already planned to get the Limitless case for my new iPhone since it protected my old one for five years. But after this year's redesign reveal, with that large, ugly cutout, made me switch to another brand.
That Flolab is exactly what I’m looking for, thank you! I wanted a frosted clear case that had great protection but with black rails and that fits perfectly!
I have one, unfortunately their gold-plated-pin capacitive transfer system isn't very good when you use the pad of your finger. Fingertip works better.
Received mine but haven’t use it . Felt the outside smooth the inside u can feel the pin will it scuff or damage the button? Share your thoughts pls thanks
I had 2 speck cases years ago, and while my phone never broke or cracked through the many drops, the rubber edges would peel off after heavy use, making the body in thinner cutout portions more vulnerable to cracking off. While protective, it's not the most durable case I've used.
I am not a fan of the cut-out camera button cases. I tried several at the Apple Store, and I’m using the Apple Silicone case until there are better non-Apple options. AppleCare will have to be my 1st level drop protection for now.
Mous really drop the ball this time. I’ve always bought a Mous case but that huge cutout made me look elsewhere. Ended up with the Caudabe Synthesis and it feels like a quality product
Great review! the one thing you missed to mention about the Flolab white case (in the video) is that it is no longer white after only one day of use. You can easily say the difference between the camera rings, MagSafe magnets, buttons and the side of the phone. I probably will recommend getting the black one.
I don't plan on buying the new iPhone 16, but I like staying updated on how companies keep up. I'm a big fan of Mous, and I was a bit disappointed when they were at #4 for the first time. However, seeing Flolab at #1, which only costs $30, is insane! I'm also a massive fan of Flolab's Privacy Screen Protector! Thanks for doing this review!
I get my 16 plus tomorrow and this video convinced me to get the flolab case. I went with white and clear to show off the pink. Theyre on sale right now for 20 bucks on amazon and their website. They dont have the buttons on amazon right now so you need to get those on the website but be aware of shipping. So the 4 dollar buttons will be way more. I skipped out on the pink buttons and went with amazon for free shipping. If they add the buttons to amazon later i might snag them. Just feeling the case without having the phone yet, it feels great. Its not bulky or heavy so i feel confident it wont cause comfort issues with the phone over time. Also the magsafe design does hold my popsocket really well so im confident i wont drop my phone using that. Cant wait to pop it on my new phone tomorrow.
Im sure you saw.. but you’re on the Mous commercial for your review and because of you (and others) they redesigned the case! Great work! Will you do a re-review of the Mous Limitless 6.0 V2?
Love your reviews. They seem genuine and honest which makes me trust you. I’ve just ordered your #1 pick for the iphone 16 pro max case. Looks stylish yet does not lack in the protection department. The affordable price is a bonus. Can’t wait for the product to arrive. Thanks for doing the homework for us. Keep the videos coming.
Please also do a couple RhinoShield cases. The solid suit and the clear one. I’m thinking of getting the clear one. And one quadlock case for when I’m on my Bike
I love your videos. Always check here before I buy something. I’d love to see another roundup once companies figure out how to cover the button properly. Cutouts are a deal breaker for me.
Great video as always, next time could you add a visual representation of the score system for each case. It would be easier for me to see how many points the case has for each category that I prioritise.
Looking forward to the next round or at least that Magbak case that has its own button on the new camera one. They seem pretty proud of themselves for that new case.
Consider listing all the cases you tested in the description. It’s hard to know whether you have looked at one (for example the Rhinoshield case) and it just didn’t make the cut. Otherwise, love your videos and your reviews.
Thanks. I was hoping someone would review these camera control buttons when using a case. A cutout makes the movement less “linear” and takes away the ease of sliding (which is what I assume). It would be helpful for those intending to use it to find out which non apple one is a good alternative. I would be surprised if all of them are working as nice
So happy you get it. I’m sick of companies overcharging and under building. I have an ear case that’s like an otter box commuter on roids. Has a camera guard kick stand. Checks all the boxes and well built besides the fact that the phone pops out of the case easier than a horribly made silicone case. $30 and it’s one failing point makes it lose out to sub $10 cases for me. It’s was so close to perfect. But you do the right tests. I love it. Thanks man.
Great video. So happy to finally see a channel not hyping ESR cases. I have to admit, I bought into the influencer hype and bought one for my wife. She had the “classic hybrid” case on her 14 pro for two days before she dropped it for the first time (waist height on tile floor). The back glass of the phone completely shattered on that first drop. Keep in mind we have three young sons whom have kicked, dropped and thrown her phone all over the house for the last couple years and it didn’t have a scratch until the ESR case.
Purchased the FloLab off your recommendation here.. Was at an amusement park taking a picture over some really rough asphalt Started to lose grip of the phone out over my head about 6.5 feet off the ground Tried to catch it as it started to fall and instead ended up pushing it toward the ground faster! Crash! FloLab protects an iPhone 16 pro max from a fast “fall” on rough asphalt from ~7 feet up.. confirmed!
now i believe you more Aaronnn... Thought that Mous will stay at number one, but with that cut for camera control it is become weaker on the corner... You're the best!
After watching your video i gave a shot to flolab and after returning the zagg Denali and spigen armor this one is the most comfortable to hold and looks great
as a person who has tried it on the iphone 13 its not bad as it protects the phone well but i don't like that the back is like dipped down from the edges makes it feel slightly weird to hold
I have a incipio case for my current phone, I’ve dropped it many times and only the plastic on case snapped. Yes I bought new ones(though I kind of just realized they have a lifetime warranty…😢), but my phone is still in perfect condition.
Thank you for being upfront with the wear on the caudabe synthesis its a great case but scratches so easily and then now you have a case with all these awful scratches so again thank you for your honest feedback I really appreciate it 🙏🏻👍🏻
Loving my Peak Design Everyday case, even without any of their special locking accessories. Super sturdy and they handled the cutout very well. Definitely seems like it’d fall in the top 3 here.
I like the camera caption button cutout from the Speck case, and I think all iPhone case brands should consider this cutout design besides the giant cutout!
Do you make the list of products reviewed or your scoring public? It would be nice to know what cases were not reviewed or didn’t make the cut and/why they didn’t. For example, the strength of the MagSafe attachment may not be as important to some people who don’t intend to use it.
I do similar stuff for hockey equipment and don’t get sponsors, I appreciate what you do! Mous added a camera button cover now on the limitless, does that change your rating at all? I just got my pro and added the Flolab. The thin area by the camera button makes me nervous it’s gonna stretch and expand overtime, like an otter box I had and why I initially found your channel. I appreciate that cases have gotten insane in price, but it’s a $1000 device, if I need the $75 case, I can bit the bullet
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
You are always missing out on the Torras MagSafe rotating ring cases. The cutout is a perfect fit. I got it in Desert Titanium to match my phone. $35 USD.
@MobileReviewsEh Aaron, spigen and supcase come out with phone case with camera button, can you check the responsive compare to apple case camera control button ?
@@tanamati6832 Ahh that one does not show up on their main list of cases for some reason. Thanks for the rec, looks like it could be a good case! Wonder how it compares to the Flolab.
Appreciate the review. Did you assess the gripzilla case yet? I ordered it and was wondering what you thought of it if you have seen it. Looking forward to more case reviews as they arrive.
I got the flolab case because of this video and I love it, but make sure you get the transluscent case because the clear one scratches so easily with just MagSafe accessories
Every time I try to take my phone out of the Mous case, it always switches the ring button to silent mode. Is this a design flaw or something? Not sure, but it's definitely problematic.
The Problem with mous cases is they do not stay on the test of time. If you take your phone in and out of your case say to replace the screen protector, The edge will stretch and warp, reducing the protective nature of the case.
Amazing reviewer! Doesn't waste our time with pointless blathering, clear, articulate, hits all the important points, good production values, and uses excellent testing methodology. I take my hat off to you sir! And bonus: a Canadian as well! 🍁
I just received the Supcase Unicorn Beetle today. The camera button works fine. The MagSafe magnets are strong and the corners are definitely not going to pop off.
Bought the FLOLAB case with Matt translucent. Just a disclaimer to those thinking of getting it. The black portion is kinda rough to touch and it seems like the unlock button seems.. loose. It won’t drop out but it’s finicky.
😂 I love me some speck grip cases they must be one of the original cases for the original iPhone. I always buy a speck presidio grip when ever I get a new iPhone. But I do miss the old silicone
I love the protection on Mous cases buy I'm on the second one that over time deforms around the volume buttons (without removing the phone from it multiple times)
I love the Tech21 Evo lite, has a full surround around the cut out, is light and thin, but with good protection for camera and screen, and has a nice matte feel. And it’s £19.99

It would be nice to know what cases were not reviewed or didn’t make the cut and/why they didn’t. For example, the strength of the MagSafe attachment may not be as important to some people who don’t intend to use it.
Eager to see your review of cases with capacitive buttons (instead of lazy cutouts).
What’s your opinion of the camera protection on the Speck case? I don’t like that it drops off near the bottom of the camera.
You are a legend. Thank you for all the work that you do!
Great to see some new cases in your top 5 and yes I remember that fall with speck…classic video no doubt 🙏🏻
What Spigen case has a camera button? Last I checked they were all cutouts.

@@tanamati6832 Ahh that one does not show up on their main list of cases for some reason. Thanks for the rec, looks like it could be a good case! Wonder how it compares to the Flolab.
He did say that other cases haven’t come out yet, or haven’t arrived at his place yet, so he’ll give an updated video in a few months
Two years in a row buying Anker phone cases. Bought one for my 16 ProMax and it's just great.... and 20$...
Thanks!
Appreciate the review. Did you assess the gripzilla case yet? I ordered it and was wondering what you thought of it if you have seen it. Looking forward to more case reviews as they arrive.
Ordered a Flolab and used your code! Thank you for the work and time!
The blue on the iPhone 16 looks really good!
I got the flolab case because of this video and I love it, but make sure you get the transluscent case because the clear one scratches so easily with just MagSafe accessories
Any thoughts on the smartish gripmunk or nomad leather cases?
I’ve bought otterbox commuter the last few phones. The cut out is the same as mouse. So frustrating. Great review!
Have had Caudabe cases for 2 years now and all of them are like new.
Plans on Mous Limitless 6.0 with camera button. Seems pricey, too!
Every time I try to take my phone out of the Mous case, it always switches the ring button to silent mode. Is this a design flaw or something? Not sure, but it's definitely problematic.
When are you going to review all the updated cases with a camera control button? Benks, Mous, Spigen, etc
For Mous, being top 5 for their laziness $10 extra shouldn’t even be consider top 5 🤣
Add the Spigen tough armor to the test. It checks lots of boxes, isn’t crazy expensive and seems to pass most of your tests in my book. Great review
It’s insane that Otterbox (a company known for durability) went the notch route.
When’s the updated case video coming out
I just received the Supcase Unicorn Beetle today.
Bruh ive been getting the same white Speck Candyshell grip for every iPhone ive had since like the 5 😂
😂 I love me some speck grip cases they must be one of the original cases for the original iPhone. I always buy a speck presidio grip when ever I get a new iPhone. But I do miss the old silicone
This guy is built better than the all of phone cases
I love the protection on Mous cases buy I'm on the second one that over time deforms around the volume buttons (without removing the phone from it multiple times)
I love the Tech21 Evo lite, has a full surround around the cut out, is light and thin, but with good protection for camera and screen, and has a nice matte feel. And it’s £19.99
Where is the updated list!!! We need the updated list!!!
Best Review Video so far. Obsessively watching them all today to pick a rugged iPhone 16 Pro Max case today.
How much does the Flolab case weigh?
