I love mouse, but this is the first time that I refuse to give them my money until they get rid of the cut out especially at that price. I’ll stick to the basic Apple Silicon case until then the point of a case is to protect the phone, not leave parts of it exposed
I was disappointed with the ip13 cases as they got rid of the microfiber AND the sim card tray slot. I'm glad the microfiber is back, but the cut out was just pure lazy
I'd recommend the Supcase "Unicorn Beetle Mag" or Spigen "Ultra Hybrid T MagFit," for those of you who are wanting the camera button control to be functional (and protected). I have the Supcase on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and my partner is using the Spigen on the 16 Pro. Each of them have a unique approach and fitting over the sapphire layer. No issues whatsoever with responsiveness on either case and personally, the Supcase is preferred, as the button is slightly raised as well. (Apologies if this is double-posted, I was on mobile.)
This is the case that I purchased, and it seems like one of the better notchless options (especially at only $19)... Now I just need my 16 Pro Max to get delivered, so I can test it .-.
@@kekekenny I’ve been using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle for a few days and really like it, it looks very clean in the green color on my Desert color phone I’m not the most enthusiastic about the Camera Control button, but wanted it to work for when I do use it, and with some getting used to it works perfectly fine with this case’s conductive button
My last 3 iPhones (14 pro max, 15 pro max, and 16 pro max) have been rocking the Torras MagSafe Kickstand case and I love them. Strongest magnets I have tried (except for MagSafe case) and great all around protection. The 16 Pro max case doesn’t have a full cut out either. The kick stand is a life saver.
hey man! I realized you didn't shown any leather case, I'm looking for one like that and I saw Vionentus got one but don't know about their quality, and not sure about any other model on amazon. Anyone knows?
I gifted my dad one last year, and he's kinda careless with some stuff, and actually the case it's really good! Just give it a try or return it if you doesnt like it then
I would thoroughly recommend the Shieldon leather range..the 15 and 16 versions have a detachable inner sleeve, so it is still protected when attached to a Magsafe charger. And yes, the camera control works fine. My friend who has a 16 Pro bought one. I have one for my 13..
I'm really disappointed in Mous. I basically already planned to get the Limitless case for my new iPhone since it protected my old one for five years. But after this year's redesign reveal, with that large, ugly cutout, made me switch to another brand.
He virtually never shares the results of the other cases, making these round-ups really limited. See all his other videos: tons of people ask, he has never shared his full data.
Love your reviews. They seem genuine and honest which makes me trust you. I’ve just ordered your #1 pick for the iphone 16 pro max case. Looks stylish yet does not lack in the protection department. The affordable price is a bonus. Can’t wait for the product to arrive. Thanks for doing the homework for us. Keep the videos coming.
I found you four years ago when I purchased my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Mous case was amazing. Here I am four years later, looking for the best case for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Of course, I will be using your links to make my purchase. Thank you for everything you do!
I don't plan on buying the new iPhone 16, but I like staying updated on how companies keep up. I'm a big fan of Mous, and I was a bit disappointed when they were at #4 for the first time. However, seeing Flolab at #1, which only costs $30, is insane! I'm also a massive fan of Flolab's Privacy Screen Protector! Thanks for doing this review!
Thank you for this review. My iphone 13 has the Caudabe Sheath and Flolab screen protector that you recommended 3+ years ago. They have worked extraordinarily!!
I am not a fan of the cut-out camera button cases. I tried several at the Apple Store, and I’m using the Apple Silicone case until there are better non-Apple options. AppleCare will have to be my 1st level drop protection for now.
After watching your video i gave a shot to flolab and after returning the zagg Denali and spigen armor this one is the most comfortable to hold and looks great
First time coming across your channel. You made this video straight forward and to the point, using all the facts you gathered as well as your personal opinion. I just upgraded to a 16 Pro Max and went ahead with the Flolab case, along with a screen protector from them. Made sure to use your code and subscribed to the channel! Thanks again for the video!
So happy you get it. I’m sick of companies overcharging and under building. I have an ear case that’s like an otter box commuter on roids. Has a camera guard kick stand. Checks all the boxes and well built besides the fact that the phone pops out of the case easier than a horribly made silicone case. $30 and it’s one failing point makes it lose out to sub $10 cases for me. It’s was so close to perfect. But you do the right tests. I love it. Thanks man.
I have one, unfortunately their gold-plated-pin capacitive transfer system isn't very good when you use the pad of your finger. Fingertip works better.
Received mine but haven’t use it . Felt the outside smooth the inside u can feel the pin will it scuff or damage the button? Share your thoughts pls thanks
Great video as always, next time could you add a visual representation of the score system for each case. It would be easier for me to see how many points the case has for each category that I prioritise.
Looking forward to the next round or at least that Magbak case that has its own button on the new camera one. They seem pretty proud of themselves for that new case.
Thank you for being upfront with the wear on the caudabe synthesis its a great case but scratches so easily and then now you have a case with all these awful scratches so again thank you for your honest feedback I really appreciate it 🙏🏻👍🏻
Please also do a couple RhinoShield cases. The solid suit and the clear one. I’m thinking of getting the clear one. And one quadlock case for when I’m on my Bike
That Flolab is exactly what I’m looking for, thank you! I wanted a frosted clear case that had great protection but with black rails and that fits perfectly!
I very rarely comment here or on any other channel especially when i follow them which aint a lot or at least im aware off BUT I trust Aaron, everytime a new poduct comes out im ordering his recommendations and also for my clients (im an IT specialist administrating company clients) and they are all satisfied. That being said, my 16 PM is arriving soon, so I ordered from your link the flolab case, thank you for your time to make these really good videos, homie :) On a sidenote, please branch out and test more then just apple products but IT products in general.
Amazing reviewer! Doesn't waste our time with pointless blathering, clear, articulate, hits all the important points, good production values, and uses excellent testing methodology. I take my hat off to you sir! And bonus: a Canadian as well! 🍁
Mous really drop the ball this time. I’ve always bought a Mous case but that huge cutout made me look elsewhere. Ended up with the Caudabe Synthesis and it feels like a quality product
Great review! Just ordered the Flolab Matte black case for my inbound iPhone 16 with an extra set of the blue trim pieces. Normally, I’m a fan of the speck grip cases, but they’ve done away with the rubber grips and just molded lines into the plastic case now which after reading reviews seems to have cost them a lot of their customer base including myself. I’m excited to check out this Flolab case it’s hard to beat for the price and the customization trim accents is a neat feature.
Do you make the list of products reviewed or your scoring public? It would be nice to know what cases were not reviewed or didn’t make the cut and/why they didn’t. For example, the strength of the MagSafe attachment may not be as important to some people who don’t intend to use it.
I love your videos. Always check here before I buy something. I’d love to see another roundup once companies figure out how to cover the button properly. Cutouts are a deal breaker for me.
Consider listing all the cases you tested in the description. It’s hard to know whether you have looked at one (for example the Rhinoshield case) and it just didn’t make the cut. Otherwise, love your videos and your reviews.
I got the flolab case because of this video and I love it, but make sure you get the transluscent case because the clear one scratches so easily with just MagSafe accessories
Thank you. I have been subscribed to your channel for many years, and your reviews are consistently very well done (!) ... interesting, come across as genuinely unbiased, and have always been helpful to my choosing accessories. eg. I now have a FloLab case (and extra buttons) on the way for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Great video. So happy to finally see a channel not hyping ESR cases. I have to admit, I bought into the influencer hype and bought one for my wife. She had the “classic hybrid” case on her 14 pro for two days before she dropped it for the first time (waist height on tile floor). The back glass of the phone completely shattered on that first drop. Keep in mind we have three young sons whom have kicked, dropped and thrown her phone all over the house for the last couple years and it didn’t have a scratch until the ESR case.
I think there's a pretty big void in the reviews this time around without mentioning any of the cases that cover the camera button AND allow you to use it's full functionality. I'm sure you're on it for the next case review video. As far as I know there are three cases that have this as of now: Apple silicone case, Supcase Unicorn Beetle Mag, and Spigen Ultra Hybrid T MagFit. I've ordered the latter two and will report back on my comparison.
I like the camera caption button cutout from the Speck case, and I think all iPhone case brands should consider this cutout design besides the giant cutout!
Thank you, Aaron! You are one of the very, I mean VERY few TH-camrs that deliver Real Value with Real Reviews! P.S... the Dog is Insanely Polite and Good Boi! ☺☺☺
now i believe you more Aaronnn... Thought that Mous will stay at number one, but with that cut for camera control it is become weaker on the corner... You're the best!
I love the protection on Mous cases buy I'm on the second one that over time deforms around the volume buttons (without removing the phone from it multiple times)
Thanks. I was hoping someone would review these camera control buttons when using a case. A cutout makes the movement less “linear” and takes away the ease of sliding (which is what I assume). It would be helpful for those intending to use it to find out which non apple one is a good alternative. I would be surprised if all of them are working as nice
Loving my Peak Design Everyday case, even without any of their special locking accessories. Super sturdy and they handled the cutout very well. Definitely seems like it’d fall in the top 3 here.
I found you two days ago and in those two days I made a list of products you mentioned that were worth my money to be given because of your reviews. I have seen video to video off other TH-camrs but you seem to REALLY love us and I appreciate you helping us all. Take my sub and I’ll do the best I can to help you :)
You should consider reviewing the Bellroy Leather case. I’ve watched reviews on multiple cases and ordered 5 different cases on amazon but haven’t found a case I liked better than the Bellroy. A lot of these 16 cases are too bulky and don’t necessarily match the slightly curved edges on the phone itself. Or, they have an open cutout for the camera button which is a hard no for me. iPhone 15/16 is meant to be more ergonomic than the 12-14 models and a lot of these cases are shaped more like the 12-14 with sharper edges. Bellroy’s case seem to offer good protection and matches the phone shape rather well. Camera button cutout also doesn’t expose edges of the phone, and the phone doesn’t pop out easily. Though, leather may be a turn off for some.
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Been watching you for a while. I got a new iPhone 16 Pro and ordered a Flolab case based on your rating. I'm a little nervous because for my 14 Pro, my Mous Clarity case worked amazing and despite a few scuffs, still looks really good. It was the first time I only bought one case for my phone. Hopefully Flolab's new case works just as well, if not better.
UPDATE: I got my Flolab "Surtect Tri-Fusion Magnetic Translucent Black" case yesterday evening. It's now 9:27am and the back looks like I've owned it for a year. There is almost no scratch resistance at all with so many micro-scratches. Also, the borders of the case feel nice and soft, but the plastic back feels cheap. It doesn't feel like a case that would withstand a high-impact drop. Flolab does offer a 30-day "hassle-free" return policy if the case doesn't match the customer's "satisfaction." However, it's only on unused products still in the box. Not sure how someone can determine if they are satisfied with their case in 30 days if it's not used. I'll probably use this case for a while until Mous cases go on sale. Tried and true product.
I just received the Supcase Unicorn Beetle today. The camera button works fine. The MagSafe magnets are strong and the corners are definitely not going to pop off.
Awesome review. This Man is GOAT. I’ve always loved Speck cases, but their quality seems to have gone down some lately. UAG cases have always been about toughness, but their loose fit on some cases is off putting. OtterBox continues with a quality product, albeit uninspiring. Spigen is very appealing, and has that awesome screen protector system. I did come across one of Best Buy’s ‘Insignia’House brand clear cases that wasn't too shabby, especially taking the price into account. I am really liking this ‘Incipio’ brand of MagCase for my 15 Pro, that has good mag charging, and has extra ribbing and flange on the back side, that adds to the feel, and grip, not to mention protection. It has a semi translucent back, and was cheap! Great review and case picks. I will look into them. Dog is adorable! 🙂
Awesome review. Looking forward to if you get any pitaka cases in. Specifically the woven fiber case. Would like to see if that passes your corner test.
I have been a MOUS user from their inception. My personal phones and my business phones all had MOUS cases and screen protectors. I am a MOUS fanboy. BUT, my iPhone 16 Pro Max Clarity 3 case is a real fail. The cutout looks like an afterthought and is extremely uncomfortable in use. Additionally, on a couple of occasions I have almost dropped my phone whilst texting because of the slippy camera button area. Sorry MOUS this doesn't work and neither does your explanation on the website as to why you made a sub-standard case. This is a £60 fail on my part, but consequently, it is MOUS that loses. So, I have taken a punt on the Flolab via the links and for £31 including delivery to the UK, I am happy to take my chances with it for now. Thank you Aaron, I will be keeping an eye on what other gems you may find. What a debacle. I should have mentioned, I love Monty.
I love the Tech21 Evo lite, has a full surround around the cut out, is light and thin, but with good protection for camera and screen, and has a nice matte feel. And it’s £19.99
You are always missing out on the Torras MagSafe rotating ring cases. The cutout is a perfect fit. I got it in Desert Titanium to match my phone. $35 USD.

Currently using the Speck case for my 16 Pro Max. I also like the Rebel Series Gen cases.
Thank you for being honest, I always thought you'll be positive about mous until today. You're amazing!
Thanks! Great video. I wish to see a Nudient cases review from you 🙏
Been watching you for a while.
Monty the most patient and sweet dog
Just ordered the Flolab case with your link, thanks for the great video!
I just received the Supcase Unicorn Beetle today. The camera button works fine. The MagSafe magnets are strong and the corners are definitely not going to pop off.
You are a legend. Thank you for all the work that you do!
Love your videos. You should check out the magbak elite case. Little pricy but very thorough design.
For Mous, being top 5 for their laziness $10 extra shouldn’t even be consider top 5 🤣
Awesome review. Looking forward to if you get any pitaka cases in. Specifically the woven fiber case. Would like to see if that passes your corner test.
THE most scientific real reviewer!
Man, if I need a true review……I come here. ❤
How was the magnet strength on your number one choice... don't believe you mentioned it? TY!
Spigen has an Ultra Hybrid T with a cover for the new button, works and feels great
I have been a MOUS user from their inception.
Just ordered through your link. Thanks for your review! Was about to spend way more money on a bad case.
Would love to see a roundup of only cases with a Camera Control button instead of a cutout.
Two years in a row buying Anker phone cases. Bought one for my 16 ProMax and it's just great.... and 20$...
I love you so much! I recently just found your kislux and i’m in love!! Your videos are so fun and you energy is just MWAH! keep living your life
I love the Tech21 Evo lite, has a full surround around the cut out, is light and thin, but with good protection for camera and screen, and has a nice matte feel. And it’s £19.99
One of my favorite channels. Keep it up Sir!
Thank you sir. You are the best reviewer around. Bravo.
You are always missing out on the Torras MagSafe rotating ring cases. The cutout is a perfect fit. I got it in Desert Titanium to match my phone. $35 USD.
Only person I wait for every year! And Monti
