Spigen also has one more case with the button, it looks to be more rugged and protective, and comes with a built in stand. “Tough Armor T AI (MagFit + Camera Control)” I hope all the other big brands come out with cases that have the button. Though that probably won’t be until the iPhone 17 or 18 releases, just like what happened when MagSafe was introduced with the 12’s.
Looking at cases, I had this question about the button!! I’m so glad you addressed it. Imo, you should add the word capacitive to the title. The only reason I clicked the video is because the AI summary mentioned it.
Came to see if I missed any cases in my searching on Amazon, but it look like I’ve seen them all this far. Thanks for the quick tests with each one though!
the silicon case was a disappointment when I had a iphone 12 it didn't last for year after the silicon started to fall off so its no longer a option even though it has the most grip from the other cases
I bought an official apple clear case for my 14 pro max and I’ll never get that one again. It was INCREDIBLY slippery. I dropped my phone because of that case every single day. I’m using a Raptic on my 16 pro max and it’s the best one I’ve used so far
The lack of cutout coverage is blown out of proportion. Most cut out cases have a good indentation that protects the button from scratches and you end up missing out on a lot of great cases over a mostly paranoid fear of scratching a button on a deep groove case.
Some of my fav cases have a cutout, like the Ringke Onyx - something about it’s feels so good in hand and the cutout is great. I don’t use the camera control button for anything more than double click to launch my camera.
The Spigen case is definitely in first place for what im looking to buy. But my dream spec would be their case but have all the buttons in white matching the white camera control. Also the MagSafe array in white and then hell while we’re at it the camera bump, and the lanyard hole. Maybe the non capacitive buttons could have nice inlays with a harder material.
Thans for the video.. Spigen is the best of the bunch, had 3 or 4 of their Ultra Hybrid cases and it’s definitely best clear case out there.. but the YELLOWING man.. the material feels nice to the touch but it is always noticable after 2-3 months, yeah old case look disgusting
You didn't cover the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Grip, which is what I went with. It's much heavier duty than the other SUPCASE case you showed. It also has a USB-C port cover and a kickstand.

@@jaydanielstech thanks for replying. Yes both in fact. My phone case felt pretty tight but sturdy. However my attempt in removing and putting it on felt like I’m risking damaging the colour and the button.
i love my unicorn beetle for my 15 pro max, my only complaint is that they have the magsafe ring paint on the outside of the case which make it wear off and look like crap. Other cases like my Spigen have it panted on the inside so it doesnt wear off. Did they fix it on this new model?
My silicone case has never needed lint and dirt cleaned off the case. It’s not as good as their old leather case, but I still prefer it to anything other than leather.
My problem with silicone cases in the past was always that (compared to the official leather case) they would sort of drag when going in and out of pockets. Do you think there's a noticeable improvement with the case this year?
I found out that with Peak Design case for 16 Pro it is more comfortable to use the new camera control button, as the cut out "guides" your finger to the right position.
@@PablosCZ Good to hear. This video was just about cases with the button 😊 I am working on a “best cases” video and for sure including the Peak Design 👍
I have the Peak Design case with the finger loop for my iPhone 14 Plus and it's been great. I would've loved to get it for my iPhone 16 Pro but too bad they went the easy route with a cutout. It allows for dirt to get in and scratch the phone. I got the Supcase and have been happy with it.
Got the Summit Stone beats case, it’s solid. Didn’t think I would like it but it feels good in the hand, and really feels like the apple clear case from my 13 pro.
I got a fully enclosed cheap case from Amazon, it has a metal or aluminum button for the camera but sadly sliding my finger does nothing, however for me I don't use my camera all that much and as sensitive as that button is I don't really like it so I'm ok not using it. I also have it set to double click to open the camera which you can do if you did not know that and are accidentally opening the camera when you take it out of your pocket.
The Beats case is the most slippery of all in this video. The back of the Spigen is slippery, but the edges of the case are more rubbery feeling and have decent grip.
OtterBox Lumen also has the button now. Amazon UK relisted the Spigen Hybrid T so ordered the black one, but will try and get the Tough Armor T when that’s released. ;)
Receive supcase but haven’t tried it with phone yet. Top or outside button smooth but the inside you can feel the pin . Any thoughts of it maybe scratching or leaving scuff mark on the actual button? Thanks
I have the Supcase. theoretically, it shouldn't scratch. the Camera Control button is sapphire crystal and the tiny rods on the case are copper. copper isn't very hard on the Mohs scale and the crystal is quite tough. but are you willing to take the chance? ;)
@@ross8723 they both function in a similar way. The methods used to accomplish that is just different. I biggest difference in terms of holding the phone is the Supcase Camera Control stick out of the side of the case like the other buttons, whereas the Spigen case is more flush to the phone.

Hi! What is the screen protector you are using? I have purchased Ultra Hybrid in the past for other iPhones and they always do not fit with other brands of screen protector (push the edges and create white bubbles). Do you have any issues?
I bought the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T but I have a problem with my wireless charger - when I have the case on it does not charge properly. The charger is a 3in1 Anker MagGo. I previously had an iPhone 13 pro with a Spigen MagSafe case and it worked flawlessly with the charger, but the combination of this case and 16 pro does not work. So it leads me to the conclusion it's the case fault, because if I take it off it charges just fine. Did you try it with different wireless chargers?
I’ve tried with multiple and it works fine. I do have one wireless MagSafe charger from Anker that only works half the time, but I haven’t used it for a couple of years.
Noooooo, I just see this now after buying supacase for amazon big prime day. Spigen also has one more case with the button, it looks to be more rugged and protective, and comes with a built in stand.
“Tough Armor T AI (MagFit + Camera Control)”
I hope all the other big brands come out with cases that have the button.
Great suggestion!
The case with camera buttons is going to scratch ur actual buttons like crazy!!!
I haven’t had any issues like that 🤷🏻♂️
I hope Spigen puts the camera control button on their other cases!
likewise
Same, that would be a smart move on their part!
Beware of supcase, it made some marks/scratches with just a few days of use.
Any cases with a kickstand too for a Pro Max?
Great video! Searched for "iPhone cases with camera button" and this was the first result!
@@beardfm Thank you, Stephen! 😊
Thanks for demonstrating Subcase's capture control is functioning
No worries!
Thanks! I don’t understand why other reviewers didn’t focus on this…. I didn’t buy own yet since I want to know how a non apple case would work
You didn't cover the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Grip, which is what I went with. It's much heavier duty than the other SUPCASE case you showed. It also has a USB-C port cover and a kickstand.
Thanks for pointing that out, just seeing that case now. I’ll plan for an updated video after a few months once more companies pivot to add a camera control button 👍
Exactly the video I was hoping for
Great video, but I am still unsure as to what case to get for my iphone 16 pro. I’m mostly concerned with safety over looks. Something that will protect the screen from cracking when dropped. What is the sturdiest in your opinion
@@kimschade1656 Right now for outright protection I would say Phone Rebel Gen 6 or Mous Limitless. There should be an updated case with camera control coming from Phone Rebel over the next month or two, and I’ve seen rumours about an update to the Mous case floating around the internet so if those appeal to you it might be worth waiting for. Hope that helps!
Disappointing the apple cases have huge bottom cutout. Cheap. And Otter box, usually known for high quality! I like Spigen do you know if the clear is non yellowing?
From what I’ve seen in the comments the Spigen may yellow, though Spigen claims it won’t now. So time will tell 🤷🏻♂️
I had the Spigen on my 14Pro and the sides yellowed. So this time I got the Otterbox for my 16. I like that the buttons aren’t cutout, esp the camera one. Also bottom is covered too, unlike the iPhone case. So far no scratches.
beats - cheap and fingerprint magnet. What were they thinking?
Thanks, just wondering on the spigen case are the other buttons completely covered by the case or is part of them exposed ?
@@conorfitzharris6075 part of them is exposed
thank you for mentioning the unicorn beetle. I was just looking at it on amazon and was worried that whilst they claim camera control functionality, how well it would really work is in doubt. but thank you!
What about drop protection on these??
Hey what screen protector did you use with your 16 pro?
@@williamvt1 just added the link to the description 👍
can you show some cases that are closes up any holes on the phone, for when you work at a job that has a lot of particles, and you wanna protect the iphone from it?
I’ll add it to my list of content to create!
@@jaydanielstech i appreciate it very much! Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
but hey, for the clear cases that cover flash... at least it'd light up the front for notifications (if u use that anyway)
I think you're sleeping on the Otterbox Lumen case, I have it on my 16 pro max and its amazing. the sides are colored so no risk of yellowing or seeing hair and shit trapped in there, and it feels SO good in the hands. magnet super strong
Putting off/on giving pressure on the phone, did it damage the skin or the screen of the 16?
Hi there, happy to answer. Are you asking if I damaged the phone screen or phone body finish by removing the cases? Let me know!
@@jaydanielstech thanks for replying. Yes both in fact. My phone case felt pretty tight but sturdy. However my attempt in removing and putting it on felt like I’m risking damaging the colour and the button.
Is the Spigen T one a pinky destroyer?
My pinky has not yet been destroyed 😊
i love my unicorn beetle for my 15 pro max, my only complaint is that they have the magsafe ring paint on the outside of the case which make it wear off and look like crap. Other cases like my Spigen have it panted on the inside so it doesnt wear off. Did they fix it on this new model?
doesnt flo lab have one too though...
Just with a cut out.
Mans is doing the lords work 🤝
My silicone case has never needed lint and dirt cleaned off the case. It’s not as good as their old leather case, but I still prefer it to anything other than leather.
My problem with silicone cases in the past was always that (compared to the official leather case) they would sort of drag when going in and out of pockets. Do you think there's a noticeable improvement with the case this year?
I was literally thinking of this exact kind of video today and this pops up I love this
Excellent audio for the cases being installed. Such a nice touch! Great review.
@@dayvan801 thank you 🙌
does the 16 pro really have a better battery life than 15 pro
Been waiting since Friday for this thank you so much. Glad I went with the supcase
@@Anthony-fd8mh that sounds interesting. I might need to look into that setting, I’ve got several accidental photos 🫠
Got a sup case in clear glitter styling. Looks great and doesn’t cost a lot 😋
4:00 that case is horrible can’t believe Apple has let Otterbox sell that case.
Is the Spigen only for Pro models?
Yes. Hopefully they bring this to non-pro cases in the future.
You would go for the most slippery case after all of that?
The Beats case is the most slippery of all in this video. The back of the Spigen is slippery, but the edges of the case are more rubbery feeling and have decent grip.
Great video I hate those cut out cases for the camera button.
Is any case not compatible with a screen protector?
All of these work with a screen protector. I have a Spigen one installed.
Thanks
Inside the button that touches the phone is smooth, the outside where your finger touches has texture. Don’t think it’ll damage your phone. 👍
@@jaydanielstech I feel like the other way top is more smooth and the inside pin texture
Which one u recommend more spigen or supcase?
I have the Supcase. theoretically, it shouldn't scratch. the Camera Control button is sapphire crystal and the tiny rods on the case are copper. copper isn't very hard on the Mohs scale and the crystal is quite tough. but are you willing to take the chance? ;)
Currently using the Supcase with the Spigen on the way early next month! I appreciate your review and confirming my choices!
@@BMDakota_ thank you!
How does the camera button function?
@@ross8723 they both function in a similar way. The methods used to accomplish that is just different. I biggest difference in terms of holding the phone is the Supcase Camera Control stick out of the side of the case like the other buttons, whereas the Spigen case is more flush to the phone.
Lifesaver video. I like my silicone case fine but I know that they aren't very durable from experience. Excited to look into some of these other options.
@@sarahparrish7206 Glad this was helpful! I also posted an updated silicone case video, a “just shy of two weeks” update 😊
@@jaydanielstech Just took a watch! I agree with a lot of what you said. I upgraded from a 12PM with an old leather case and while I love the tech upgrade I sorely miss the hand feel from the leather. Was looking into some 3rd party leather cases and unfortunately none of them seem to have camera buttons, so I'm holding out for that i suppose.
I’ve been wondering why no one’s made this video. And there you did finally. Sub’d!
@@AbdulBaiss 😊
Hi! What is the screen protector you are using? I have purchased Ultra Hybrid in the past for other iPhones and they always do not fit with other brands of screen protector (push the edges and create white bubbles). Do you have any issues?
I almost always buy the Spigen 2 pack of screen protectors, haven’t had issues with cases
@@jaydanielstech yeah, it should not be any problem with the Spigen one, I got the problem with other screen protectors. Thank you anyways!
Always loved supcase! I got mine’s yesterday and it’s very cool, as always
If the unicorn was opaque, they’d already have my money
Thanks for your video!
You’re welcome 😊
Noooooo, I just see this now after buying supacase for amazon big prime day. I mean I haven't installed it yet but it was literally the only one that showed up when I searched "iPhone 16 pro max case with camera control cover", maybe the Spigen was hiding behind some off branding, but weird. Great video regardless, I just feel like after seeing the spigen hybrid t, it would feel better than the supacase which I read is full of capillaries and can feel loud or you hear the clicking with each swipe or touch which can quickly become annoying. Oh well, if I don't like it, I might just get the Spigen
Loved this video but why didn’t you include a stand case
@@JGoh762 at the time this video was made there was no case with a stand that also has a camera control button. I’ll be doing another video like this in the future when I’ve found another 5+ cases with the button. 👍
Thanks for your review! Really helpful.
I’m waiting for a good leather cases to come out with the capacitive button. Until then, Im sticking to the silicone.
