I've seen a lot of reviews guides say the Ranger is the best pick in that category. It seems boat designers these days are just off with a lot of important things.
The comedy in your videos are under rated LMAO!!! I bought a cutwater 24dc in may, really thinking should have gotten a pilot house with ac now. Love yahs videos its really honest and informative no hidden agendas!

The Ranger Tug is the best for what I’d want to do, which would be spending a couple weeks on it in the summer doing the Trent Severn or Rideau canal. Just the way it’s set up makes it “liveable”. 👍 The Cutwater price is much more to my liking though. 😅
Watching now. Love it! One of the only things I wish they could design an awning that can be folded or removed instead of being fixed into the boat. Great stuff
I like the Cutler 248 for the price. But if I’m not mistaken, the Ranger tug 25 foot is similar price. The range to 27 foot is 259. Hundred thousand dollars more. So I’m thinking the Cutler.
Great reviews! Another boat you might like for overnighting is a regal 26xo with a 300 Yamaha I see you like the enclosed cabins much better for poor weather when it pops up
Nolan, we love the regal 26xo! They just won’t bring em to these shows lol🤣 we wish they would! TH-cam channel adventures of happy hours has one and it’s a neat boat! Definitely our style! We’re dying to film one! 🤙
I like the Regal too but lately I really would like a semi hardtop style boat. Canvas is ok but it becomes a pain sometimes taking it off and putting it back up, especially when bad weather or the bugs hit.
The Ranger 27 rocks but the Cutwater price is more appealing , and it cruises faster. I would put a grill on the outside deck of the Cutwater. The Ranger 23 is a great boat too and it’s listed at around $185k. I like boats in that 23-24 foot range. You get everything you need and it’s a little better on gas, ability to trailer and store it.
Awesome and realistic reviews! Great to hear from boaters who like similar creature comforts - like the simple ability to sleep overnight comfortably, on a relatively affordable boat. It seems those types of boats are becoming few and far between and the few manufacturers that are trying to make those boats are compromising in the wrong areas. A good example is the Jeannau which wants to try to be a semi bow rider at the expense of cabin space, which you rightly said is a waste. A necessity for guys is a standup head, whether enclosed or not. My favorite is the same as yours - the Cutwater is on my list, they just need to put a better “piano hinge” on the head door. I love the Ranger but for the price, Cutwater is the better deal.
You can’t go wrong with the cut water either tbh. And you’re right, the jeanneau just seemed like it was packing 10 pounds of 💩in a 5 pound bag. Wants to be everything and ends up short on everything. We have another video we’re doing on the bigger “pocket yachts” so two motors and the cut water is prob the best. That one will be up next week!🤙
I have to admit that Fluid Motion ( Ranger Tugs , Cutwater, Solara ) do an excellent job on layout , new ideas and overall appeal . Their price is attractive and have everything you could need . The down side ( in my opinion ) is they need more focus on the Quality of the build , Warranty improvements and better quality components . Because its a small boat , you need to be a contortionist to repair & do maintenance . The outboards make life easier .Great video , and hopefully you too don't get soaked on the next video !

The Cutwater would be my choice out of all these. I believe it's the best bang for the buck. I owned a Parker 25 in the past, and although it is a battle wagon, I would not get another one, because they use wood to build these. I prefer all composite even if it doesn't ride as nice as a Parker. Great content once again on your video!
Thank you so much! We love the cut water as well. We also like Parker but they use wood although they do have that new 24 fully composite with the deck hatches. I’ve always heard that Parkers pound a fair amount too. Is that accurate?
@@perfectfitboating The Parker rode pretty well, but not as good as my Wellcraft Coastal 270 I have now. Didn't know Parker was going all composite now... welcome to the 21st century, Parker. LOL
@Nobamaable well, I don’t know about the rest of their lineup but the 24 was their first! It’s a sweet looking ride for sure! Seriously, right? It’s 2024!
Perfect weather for a boat show! LOL IMHO, the best accommodations has to go to the Ranger Tug, then the best bang for the buck I think would have to go to the Cutwater 24, seemed like the only one besides the Ranger to have a comfortable berth AND a stand up head...If money was no issue I would get the Ranger but to save almost $100k get the Cutwater..
Wasn’t the weather great? 🤣 but you’re Absolutely right. Both of those are awesome boats! And the savings from the cut water is def something to consider! 🤙
I'm noticing more and more boats like the Ranger that are built with zero bow flare. Is this an issue when you hit some chop ? Are they expecting that, because this is a pilot house type boat, that you wont mind catching a lot of spray to the windshield or do they compensate for this in other ways ? I'm with you on the Cutwater 248 Coupe. Even when I have "Money is no object" type dreams of boats, I try to stay below 25 foot. This boat does a REALLY good job of having the features and the room I'd want within that size.
I think it may be the styling, and also the pilot house aspect which protects you from spray. Or, they made a hull that doesn’t spray at all (doubt it). Anything bigger than that size 24-26 is really hard to handle by yourself And is just enough space to have all the comforts imo. 🛥️🤙🌊
@@perfectfitboating I feel that any boating adventure that is worth having is better when shared with others BUT I never want a boat that I can not launch , dock and load comfortably by myself. The biggest I experienced that I felt comfortable with was a 24 and I give a LOT of credit in that to the trailer. The bunks and rollers did a great job of guiding the boat right onto it. Not as much need for someone to be at the stern of the boat pushing and pulling to keep it lined up.
I think you would love the northwest marine boats (c-dory, sea sport, osprey). New to the channel so maybe you have filmed them already but if not you should!
Hey there and thanks for watching! Yes, we actually mention those boats on a few reviews. We’ve only seen one sea sport done here and it’s amazing! And we love the c dorys, Parker’s, defiance etc style boats. We just don’t get to see them down here in sfl. We gotta make our way to the PNW one day and film a show there! 🤙
@@perfectfitboatingA video at the Seattle boat show would be awesome. I have a C-Dory 25 and love it. I like the way yall do your videos comparing multiple small boats at one time vs one big boat at a time like other channels. More realistic.
@dakodamanning1826 thank you buddy we appreciate that! C dory 25 is a sick boat! We love trip smiths 22 c dory, the 25 much have perfect space for two people 🤙
They look cool but would be even better with a bigger beam. I understand the trailering aspect limiting beam , but that Ranger in a 10 ft wide version would make a huge difference . Nice reviews overall!
Thank you so much! I know they have a bigger model that has a much wider beam. At this show they also had the fly bridge model with Volvo inboards. That one was huge!🤙
How about just a wee bit of consistent format...start with the specs and price...then tour. Maybe use a few boat terms and offer a suggestion for the storage etc.
Awesome content guys, just subscribed. We’re looking for the same style on the West Coast. Did you end up picking a winner from both shows? Solara 250 looks amazing. Unfortunately I just watched the JaktarJ30. That thing is UNREAL.
Hey thanks so much for that! We really appreciate it! Man we’ve heard about that jactar and we haven’t come across it yet! There’s definitely a buzz going around of that boat! I think the next show for us is the Ft. Lauderdale show. Maybe they’ll be there! 🤙
Lmaoooo out on the reef would be better the person to answer that. They do still build leaky hatches which you can see in the video. Specifically the cabin hatch. 🌊🤙🛥️
I love the Ranger but for a quarter of a million dollars I could get a used Nordhavn with two staterooms, washer and dryer, full size galley and fridge, and the range to go from San Diego to hawaii which is 2,400 miles
I’m not at all a fan of these bow seating weekenders either. I can see where separate lounging areas could be appreciated by some, but my use will be just myself and my much better half. She loves the interior appointments, as do I, so I’ll sacrifice cockpit space for cabin every time. As much as I can appreciate that big Parker where you could toss a frisbee in the cockpit, it just wouldn’t work for us. I love the ranger tug, but for the money, I think your Miami winner is the way to go, or the cutwater.
We’re with you on that! The admiral likes interior space as well. And like you said, the Parker is just not complete. Ranger tug checks the boxes but the price 😳.
Does America build 26 - 30 feet length Aluminium Boats in custom layouts where the client can participate in the cabin layout where rear fishing deck area and facilities is also built for the clients and clients friends to have good usable space and fishing gear storage ?
Yes but in certain places in the US. We have a video coming out this week of a company called lifeproof boats who make all different sized aluminum boats that are custom! 🤙
lol, “interesting” was nice for the quarken. Such an odd design, somehow they managed to make it smaller and less usable than the previous, smaller boats. The Jeanaeu was also pretty disappointing. The Parker’s are more of a fishing specific boat, so not really a good comparison with this category. Funny it’s just as expensive though, with fewer amenities.
Yeahhhh interesting is fitting. Hasn’t quite hit the right points for this market yet. As I understand it, it’s a boat built for a whole different style of Nordic boating. We actually got a ride on this boat and it performed incredibly. If they dial it in for the US market it can do well. Jeanaeu was alright just a little cheap in some areas and Parker is exactly what you said. Paying a whole lot for not much of anything. 🌊🛥️🤙
Those boots look more like fishing boots, nothing to do with weekender, for nice complete weekender look at the skandinavian brands, best quality for your bucks
I disagree. We do a lot of fishing in the states so boats are made to do both. I’ve been on and reviewed plenty of Scandinavian boats. They’re very nice but they haven’t hit the mark for what we need in the states. For example, the Parker poland boats and like many that are made in that same area, all have tiny heads and little berths. From what I understand, Scandinavians use those boats to get to their island cottages and what not. Not necessarily to spend the weekend on. Cool boats no doubt, and definitely better priced I agree. 🤙
I love pilot houseboats and the glacier Bay 2690 was my favorite too bad. They don’t make anything like that that’s under $100,000 and today’s cost-of-living was hard enough. The only people that can afford these boats are millionaires. It’s a shame because you can’t enjoy the outdoors,
Ranger Tug is the nicest but the Bayliner Explorer Trophy isn't in there and when you learn that the pedigree of the Bayliner Trophy goes back to a guy named Dr. Livingston I presume ? " The same guy who invented the Livingston Dingy " . His family got to test his designs when he worked for Bayliner on the Trophy and Explorer way back . Anyway , rumour has it that the whole gang is over there at Ranger now . Great People and a hell of a boat . They're Royalty but try not to mistake em for the custodian . They're the real deal and it comes with being the person who cleans up the mistakes of others and then going on to make things better for everyone . They know boats . They also aren't owned by Bruinswick , like Sea Ray . So where are those Sea Ray guys anyway ? I'm a 82 Bayliner Explorer 2270 Alaskan Bulkhead kinda guy myself .
Thanks for the info Randy we had no idea the history of those boats. I can tell you they were awesome over at ranger tug and out of all the other boat companies, they were the most prepared to show them. Boats looked and felt top notch! 🤙

@perfectfitboating I'm sure owner of the boat would disagree, my feelings ,lol, care less , u r the one on yt , freedom of speech and expression, sure u know allot bout that
@DKarGarage I guess freedom of speech and freedom of expression only work when it’s convenient for you 🙄. Here’s a thought. Maybe, just maybe, these guys and ranger, cut water, and solara invited us to this show to see the boats THEY own, and saw that it was raining and it would be silly for us to walk without shoes on their boats. I mean, I know it’s hard to comprehend that from the rain and the fact we mention we spoke to Shane, the rep from the company. That’s what happens when you don’t watch or pay attention to the video and instead pick something ridiculous to comment about. 🤣Take care bud and thanks for feeding the algorithm! 🤙
We’re not teaching anything. We’re going through boats and reviewing them as normal people that like boats. We don’t assert ourselves as experts on what you should or shouldn’t buy. It’s based on our experience as normal boaters. Hence why the videos do so well (most boaters are just like us). Thanks for commenting.
Not necessarily. This boat has a narrow beam for its size and doesn’t have a very deep v so it can be powered with less hp. It’s no speed demon but these style boats are meant to cruise. 🤙
Can't beat that Ranger for all around livability.....thank you guys...watch your show and your ups and downs....keep it up.😊

From what I understand, Scandinavians use those boats to get to their island cottages and what not. Not necessarily to spend the weekend on. Cool boats no doubt, and definitely better priced I agree. 🤙
Ranger tug
the quarken was a very weird boat. ranger tug cant be beat
It’s very weird. Not in a bad way just different. It’s a European style boat so they have that styling. For us, ranger is where it’s at too! 🤙
A searay sundancer 32 has more comfort and twin 383 gas v8
That’s great to know! 🤙
"This berth is gigantic." crawls in a space barely 4 ft.
Womp womp
No privacy if your date is lying down. I'm not crazy about that. Also, the noise issue.
I love pilot houseboats and the glacier Bay 2690 was my favorite too bad. They don’t make anything like that that’s under $100,000 and today’s cost-of-living was hard enough. The only people that can afford these boats are millionaires. It’s a shame because you can’t enjoy the outdoors,
We love them too. Prices are just out of control. That’s why we chose to restore an old boat for a fraction of the cost of a new one. 🤙
If you can't enjoy the outdoors without a $100,000 boat, that's on you, nobody else.
@@perfectfitboating They know they're # 1 in their market spot and they've been there for a long , long time .
regular cc's really waste a lot of space
Very true!
Very expensive these boats
Youre right about that!
Bro if you don’t know it you have a down woman , lol bruh you had to tell her babe don’t get wet, whattt she was like I want the best shot periodd. Great content guys please keep it up
I am the luckiest guy there is! She’s game for everything for our channel. Camping, filming, fishing, anything! And most importantly, supports my crazy ideas! Thanks for the comment!🤣 We appreciate you watching! 🌊🛥️🤙
@@perfectfitboating i can tell, we both lucked out mine is ride or die also
Love to hear it! 🤙🛥️🌊
These are for non boating boaters lol. Pretty much all inside, with no outside sailing options.
👍
I bee pissed if u walked inn my boat with shoes
You have a boat?
@perfectfitboating what does that have to do with having respect for other ppl place,? And yeah 10ft fishing boat
@DKarGarage what does it have to do with? Nothing. The same as your feelings having nothing to do with this video. Hope you have the day you deserve!
I think you should be the camera man… get your lady on camera! Far more pleasant on the eyes
Getting away from the boat stuff, if you're married to that ? lucky you, if not, what's the matter w/you, move fast !
Quarken. The absolute gayest boat to date. No one is going to buy that expensive useless boat.
Not too knowledgeable at showing boats at show. Maybe try something else
The views on our boat show videos speak for themselves. Jealousy looks ugly on you Steve. Hope your day gets better 🤙
Mediocre presentation. ....opening and closing cabinets and drawers , 80% of the 😢time
You guys should learn a little more about Boats before teaching others about features, and walk throughs, good try though, I give you an A for effort
CAN I TOW THIS , OR IS THIS NON TRAILERABLE
If you mean the ranger tug, yes it’s towable. 🤙
Isn't a 27-foot boat too big for one engine?
Not necessarily. This boat has a narrow beam for its size and doesn’t have a very deep v so it can be powered with less hp. It’s no speed demon but these style boats are meant to cruise. 🤙
HOW MUCH FOR THE DOGGY IN THE WINDOW.
