I just ordered my K1 Max & came an across your videos. I love the way you go into things and the amount of detail that you go into… Not too much and not too little, some reviews can get very wordy.

Thanks! I'm not a fan of watching videos when they've been talking for 5 minutes but still haven't said anything so I try not to do that. Sometimes I might get sidetracked! I'm sure you know to be careful with that door during assembly by now! Good luck with the printer. If there's anything I can help you with, drop me a comment right here. Good luck and I know you're going to love the K1 max!! Thanks for watching!

Just received delivery of my k1. Max and I ran across your video so I subscribe to your channel cuz I like the way you do things. So I watched the setup video and we'll probably watch it again once or twice. Just so I got it down pat. Looking forward to checking out some of your other videos right now. Thank you!

Disappointing that you didn't include more footage of the printer doing its thing at actual speed. Show us a few layers of the benchy print, for example, so that we can get a sense of how fast this thing really goes. Also, why did the benchy you printed take 45 minutes when the installed one only took 13? Is it just a matter of slicer settings? If so, which ones?

Fair point. The Benchy that was on the printer when I bought it, it had a brim on it. It was a small brim, but still, it had a brim. The point of a benchy is as a printer torture test. To use a brim in my opinion is cheating the test, so I sliced my. Mine took longer for any number of reasons. For example, how many walls were used, how much infill, how many top and bottom surfaces....ect. The same is true for the Bambu, I don't know the numbers off hand, but the Benchy I sliced took longer than what was on the printer. What I will say about the K1 Max is that it's fast and it's reliable. It's becoming my go-to machine. About the only time I don't pick the K1 Max as my primary printer for a job is if the job requires multiple colors. I haven't had any issues with it, yet. I'm hoping it stays that way. It's a great machine. If there is anything specific you want to know I'll be more than happy to try to answer it for you. I do have the timelaspe for the built-in benchy, but being a timelapse it's only 6 seconds long and probably won't show how fast this printer really is.

Since it has 2 months now since this video, are you still impressed with the Max? I seen in the comments you also have an X1, How do they compare? I am looking at this and the P1S. Thanks for the video, your doing a great job!!!

Good question! I try real hard not to compare the two. But since you asked, here's my honest opinion, others might disagree. Both are great machines. People on Facebook and Reddit will say some bad words about the K1 Max. I haven't had a single issue with mine, not one. I use it daily. I bought the K1 Max for the print size and speed. My Bambu Lab X1, also zero problems and run it daily as well. The worse thing that happened with my Bambu was filament breaking in the tubes of the AMS. Not hard to fix, but not as easy as I'de like. Both machines are fast, the K1 Max is bigger, the Bambu does muti color prints and that's what it comes down to. I don't do a whole lot of multi color parts but it's nice to know I can. But on the other hand, multi color prints don't print at lightning speed and there is a lot of wasted filament. If I had to pick between the two, I would have to ask myself what's more important to me, multi color prints or size? 256mm cubed on the bambu, or 300 mm cubed on the K1 Max, the difference is 44 mm (about 1 3/4"). It's a tough choice.

@@pushingplastic7445 Thanks so much for your reply! I guess that is the same question I’m struggling with between the two. Also there seems to be advantages of the Bambo infrastructure too. So have a little bit of time left as I’m waiting to see if some better pricing will come available around the holidays. Thanks again for the comeback and your videos, have been enjoying them!

@@Walt1119 I think waiting for a holiday price drop is a smart move. Also, new products might introduced! When you decide stop back and let me know what you went with!

great grab! i believe this is the direct competitor to the current 1400$ bambu labs

I agree! I do have a Bambu X1 Carbon and so far, the only thing the Bambu has over this printer is the ability to print multi color. Creality is going open source with this in September. Maybe multi color for this printer will be available then? I'm also liking the extra 50 mm build volume in XY & Z over the Bambu as well.

Its a shame its not multi color, the rest of it looks really nice.
