I like them all. 2 and 3 are similar and sound more real and natural, like we are having a face to face conversation. The first sounds very professional and quiet, and sounds like a professional podcast.
I don't do promoted listings at all, and I never will, because it's another way for eBay to put their hand in my pocket, and I feel like I pay them enough already. They got mad at me recently for saying no to international shipping, but I don't really care because they don't give a damn about their sellers, and I'm getting tired of performing like a trained seal. My business, my rules, I don't work for them.
Actually when you sell on eBay you actually do work for them. Your rules must meet their rules, otherwise they can easily ban you or suspend you. You cannot sell anything you want. You may think you work for yourself and in a sense yes, but you are controlled in what you do and sell. Sounds like a regular 9 to 5 to me.
The 2nd microphone had echoes like in an empty room. The first one was very mellow. Reminds me of the DJ's back in my hometown, it gives a mellow sound. I like #1 best and #2 second. #3 is okay, but I already picked the best 2.
Thank you for the useful information. I like the podcast mic. Quick question. If I have the promoted campaign going like this and then run a sale, do they add together for a bigger discount?
Podcast mic for sure! The clip-on mic picked up so much reverb, bad acoustics. The last one was sort of in the middle. But hands down on the podcast mic.
Each one of them is clear that's all I really care about. Your stationary pod mic actually sounds very clear, but has a robotic manual like tone. Think the most truest sound comes from your iPhone
This was super helpful! I’ve had a bunch of campaigns popping up this year and thought it was a potential issue, but didn’t have time to figure it out! Problem solved.
Say I have a campaign n have all my items in it. Now let's say I list 5 items a day. Do those new items automatically go into the campaign or I still have to add them into campaign daily?
Appreciate your tips. Checked my promoted listings and indeed I was guilty of having multiple promoted listings campaigns. Deleted them all and replaced with one campaign at 3%. It's been about a month since I did this change and my sales have tanked. Not sure if it's the lower promoted ad rate or something else but I think I am going to raise my promoted rate and see if there is an improvement.
Podcast mic for exactly that, podcast. 2 and 3 are pretty similar but slightly prefer 3. They all have their purpose. Only negative to me is the clip on pulling down your collar.
I paused your video and checked my Campaigns, WOW! I just went through and deleted all of them. I'm going to start from scratch and set up 2, 1 for clothing and 1 for postcards. I've been slowing weeding out my store getting rid of the garbage. I've definitely been noticing some trends with my store buy doing this, but without raw data its hard to interpret. I need to get my store really cranking hard for a very specific reason. This should definitely help! Thank you! Definitely like to PodMic better. It sounds much more professional, very official.
Thanks for doing a video on promotions. I hate giving ebay more of my money but promoted lisitngs definitely help with more sales, but only if I promote at least 9 or 10% it seems for my store. plus I wish you would have dived more into the dynamic option. I use it and it let's you add an extra percentage to the daily suggested rate , liek a cap..so I will do let's say 9.1% and another 2 or 3% cap. It sucks having to give up that much but it does work , giving me more sales. When I have done 5% or less, sales decreased.
They all sounded OK, but I saw one person say something about the echo with the remote clip-on mic, and I was wondering if you had the pot open on the board for the podcast mic, because I think it was picking you up and creating the echo. Old JMC radio/TV production guy here. Lol. Thanks for the video!
I have hearing aids and the sound goes right to my hearing aids. Both are ok but I prefer the clip on mic. Maybe I’m just not use to the new mic keep up bye good work
Why have items where you need to pay more to sell it? I refuse to use promoted listings or anything to sell it faster. I have collectibles and those sell rather quickly. No need for eBay to gouge more out of me other their atrocious fees.
@ maybe if I had actually spoken with you in person I would have a different opinion. But 2 and 3 sound like what what I have known and to me that is what your voice sounds like
The items with no impressions have nothing to do with the promoted amount. In the meantime items should sell with NO PROMOTED. If you are giving ebay higher than 2 or 3 % its a bad item. If an item can't sell itself with minimal promotion sell something else
So the rode condensor (podcast one) is *too* sterile. It is highly crisp. The rode clip on has too much deep reverb, there is a sort of echo-y sound, and more bassy. The apple mic ironically is in between the 2 and sounds the best and most natural. Why? Because if I was in the room with you, the sound of your voice would have some natural reverb, bouncing off the ceiling and walls, etc. and would sound like the apple mic. The first one is too unnatural, all of that natural ambience is removed.
Promoted listings really do help and only cost money IF it sells and pennies if you do 2%
Podcast mic for sure!
Most definitely the podcast mic. Sounds great!
I like them all. 2 and 3 are similar and sound more real and natural, like we are having a face to face conversation. The first sounds very professional and quiet, and sounds like a professional podcast.
OMG, this has been on my to-do list. I wanted to learn how the campaign feature works in more detail. This is a game changer. Thank you so much😊
Podcast for sure - thanks for this video. I was one who had 100s of campaigns out there. Now down to 1.
WOOT!! I love the mic also
SO GOOD - Thank you Casey!
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for pointing out this tool! I was not aware of it. Question...I don't see the "Days on site" column on my Campaign page. What am I missing?
Your podcast mic sounds best. Thank you for this info. I thought the campaigns had to have current dates to run.
Appreciate it

POD mic is excellent !
I like the 3rd one. The first one makes you sound like Ryan from RallyRoots. Lol
Definitely the podcast Mike!
Agreed
Podcast mic is great, it makes your voice smooth
For sure it does
1st one podcast mic, so much clearer no echo
Love you no matter what you do Casey, you're amazing!! However, the Podcast Mic is the best
Each one of them is clear that's all I really care about.

#3 clip on mike
Say I have a campaign n have all my items in it. Now let's say I list 5 items a day. Do those new items automatically go into the campaign or I still have to add them into campaign daily?
How are campaigns different then running sales?
Love the first mic! Thanks for the indepth advice!
Podcast mic is best for clarity. although the other two are not bad.
Hello I like the mic you use with the soundboard. Thanks
I have three campaigns one for this year, one for last year, and one for everything older than that.
Def podcast mic. The sound is perfect!! The other 2 have a little bit of an echo.
The clicks one just costs in my experience does not translate well o sales at all unless u got 1000s to pump
Podacast mic is by far the best and actually your iphone sounds better than the clip on.

Love the podcast mic. iPhone sounds just as good as the clip on….. ditch the clip on if iPhone is easier!
Podcast mic for the win
Agreed thanks!

Thank you for the education, much appreciated

2nd and 3rd are louder which I like better.
1. And. 3. Are great
Great information regarding days on site and impressions. I need to run this and just pull and donate a boatload of crap. Thanks!
Def eye opening huh
Podcast mic sounds great!
Podcast mic the best
Iphone actually sounds better than rode clip-on....less room sound.. of course the pocast mic sounds best by far..
Definitely the podcast Mike. Your iPhone and the clip on Mike sound about the same to me. If anything, the iPhone is better than the clip on.
They are very similar
Great video!!🎉
I love the pod cast mic!
pod mic but the other two are louder so I hear better because of the volume
podcast mic sounds the best!!
Podcast Mic! 💯 It makes your voice sound more dynamic.
Thumbs up Casey, absolute wonderful vid!!! 🎉
I promote and it pays 🤑!
I vote for podcast mic
Podcast mic hands down Casey.
I have hearing aids and the sound goes right to my hearing aids. Both are ok but I prefer the clip on mic. Maybe I’m just not use to the new mic keep up bye good work

I refuse to use promoted listings or anything to sell it faster.
I have collectibles and those sell rather quickly. No need for eBay to gouge more out of me other their atrocious fees.
If you have items that don't require promoting....don't promote them. Pretty easy
Your MIC SOUNDS GREAT A++++++++++++++++
THan you!
Podcast mic rules!!
I pay 15% FVF and that IS ENOUGH
POD mic preferred
Awesome!
I like the phone sound
Definitely the big podcast mic.
The podcast mic most definitely.
You sound cooler with the Big microphone
Podcast Mic!!
What is a campaign?
@@PamShadduck promoted. Listing. It’s called a campaign when you start one
2 OR 3 I wear hearing aids and those two are easier for me to hear and understand.
pod mic the best, phone second, travel one last. This rating is from someone who is partially deaf. The pod mic makes it more clear for my ears.
Podcast but adjust the highs on the board #lower
Podcast mic is best, then phone then the clip on
Podcast Mike
The big one
I don't see how to delete in bulk my campaigns, there are hundreds of them
might have to do it 1 by 1 actually
podcast mic sounds vastly smoother, with less noise and ...less harshness for lack of a better word .
2 and 3 sound the best
really?
@ maybe if I had actually spoken with you in person I would have a different opinion. But 2 and 3 sound like what what I have known and to me that is what your voice sounds like
I like 1 and 3
100% Podcast Mic.
at 2.5% no wonder you dont get impressions lmao
The items with no impressions have nothing to do with the promoted amount. In the meantime items should sell with NO PROMOTED. If you are giving ebay higher than 2 or 3 % its a bad item. If an item can't sell itself with minimal promotion sell something else
Podcast mic!
2nd one sounds like you are in an empty room, third one sounds the best, like normal. First one was too sexy.
Number 1 and 3
I like the podcast
podcast mic
Podcast 100%
Podcast mic

#2 & #3 - you sound like you are in an empty room with some reverb and different tone. The big mike is definitely best.

Almost everyone loves the podmic
Podcast mike
Minimum going to 5%
NOOOO to much money. If an item can't sell itsself without any or very little promo, its probably a bad item
@@RockstarFlipper I also heard that eBay is thinking about raising the minimum to 5%. They already did it for dynamic promotions.
@@WatchingSomeTH-camVideos bad move by them. I won’t use it st 5% +
Pod cast better
