Rockstar YOU’RE MY NUMBER 1 !!! I did what you said and boom Sales right away. POST 5 listings a day! I have been wondering what happened to my sales. My new motto “Stop hoarding your inventory and sell it” ❤❤❤❤❤
These tips worked so well for me this past weekend. My sales have been on a steady decline after I ended my promotions and re-promoted plus changed prices and inventory plus my normal 10 a day listings, my weekend sales were awesome. Thank you for the tips! ❤
Alrighty then! Thank you, I am new and was getting disturbed over continued complaints on E-Bay. But I have made a few sales and am going to implement this as my go to daily. Thanks again!
So I was told that if a buyer clicks on watch or uses a coupon the seller gets a promoted fee.. this was not the case before.. I complained that items selling didn’t state promoted listing sale but I was charged the fee.. most days I get 75% promoted sales .. a few months ago it was 50/50 .. I put in my formal complaint and asked why isn’t my sale marked promoted sale!! That’s pretty disgusting of eBay! I also asked why when I get an offer do I not know THEN if it’s a possible promoted sale so I can figure out what offer to send!
I have noticed a nice bump in the sales the first day, and after that as well. It's a magic trick, but it helps the algorithm and keeps your listing fresh and at the top of the search bar, it really works!!
You're so true you're like the news media for reselling love your content I can't list fast enough, so I'm really considering you program your listing service
Alright! I'm the guy that goes 10+% on everything and have ok sales. I'm gonna do what you say and go 3% on everything to see if I can keep more of my money. Kinda scared ebay may drop my sales because of this. We will see! Update: 1 week later. This was the worst idea ever! 2-3% is going to land you almost zero sales if you sell clothing esp. I sell everything and kept all the controllable variables the same and boy I have never had a worse week. I sold more when I was a newbie. I mean this Test HURT bad! SMH. Terrible advice IMHO! If you have nothing but Rare, Very strong STR items etc this may work but honestly the higher % the faster it will sell point blank. Most of Ebay is clothing and saturation is real! I really wanted this to work but it was the biggest FLOP ever. My opinion is 10-12% for the fastest sales. Get it gone quick. You will be married to the items if you advertise less than 10%!!!!!!
Do you need to have a subscription on eBay to run a sale? Or is that coupons only. I was just looking into this yesterday as I wanted a bulk inventory discount and I might have missed it. Also I just found you. Going to sub. Thanks
I have been plagued with migraines lately and also having to race to complete some important paperwork so I’ve had nearly zero time for anything on my store. I’ve been only delisting and then “sell similar” the next morning, double checking all of my shipping pricing etc as I relist. I’ve done this every day so far this month and I’ve now sold I think 24-28 “stale” low sell through rate items from when I was first starting out and didn’t know better! I also have had a 30% off sale on all those items.

Great info as always!! Question?? Do you leave best offer after adding these sales ?? I find that best offer almost encourages the buyer to make an offer even a couple of dollars less Thanks
I think a lot of sellers that say sales are slow have posted and forgot about it. Also, from a buyers standpoint, you don't have to go crazy and make it look like a Christmas gift but put some tlc in packing y'all. If you throw it in a polymailer and pray, people will catch on and buy from someone who doesn't.

I DID 6% AND NOW HAVE IT AT 3% SO I WILL SAVE 50% ON FEES. I DO 10 ITEMS A DAY AND USUALLY SELL 7-10 A DAY ON SOME DAYS BEING LOWER AND SOME DAYS BEING HIGHER. ON AVERAGE ABOUT 7 SOLD A DAY OUT OF 10 A DAY LISTED. SOME DAYS I MISS 10 BUT 28 DAYS OUT OF 30 I DO 10 A DAY

I did this same thing, and my sales plummeted. For my sales July 1 to August 1, my total sales were down 40.5% and net sales were down 46.3%. I also read that if you lower the promoted % rate (or change, edit or recreate a new campaign) and your item sells, eBay takes whatever the rate % was at the time the listing went live. (No lie, this information is on the eBay website.) The only way around it is to end the listing and then sell similar, with a lower promotion rate %. I eventually brought all of my listings up to 10% and while I am seeing an increase in sales, (it's hit & miss) I'm still struggling. My total sales in august went up to 45.21% (from being in the RED), in September less than 1.0%. Also, let's say you have 1000 listings, only 1 listing should be promoted, (999 don't). If you sell an item that's not promoted EBAY CONSIDERES IT PROMOTED. Ebay will say they directed the buyer from one of your promoted listings and that's how it sold. It's a catch 22...
Thank you for these tips. I started my business 3 years ago. My new items sell well but I have so many terrible items that I can’t get rid of from when I first started. I’ve run many sales and sold some and also ended some but I just want them gone. I’m going to follow your steps to hopefully give that a boost. If I can make a small profit, it’s better than taking a loss by ending them.
I like to end my sales on a Monday so that if someone gets back to work and checks their email to see their item went on sale, they can still get it! I did my best shopping when I had an awful, corporate job!
Just finish doing everything on your list I think it will help the only thing that makes me nervous is I'm in highly competitive hat category so reducing the promoted listings makes me nervous but we'll see how it works out my friend I'll let you know thanks
Dear Rockstar Flipper, you're terrific and a great encourager! Love your vids! One more thing! Please pray for me. I'm going through a divorce! I'm divorcing my Inventory! LOL.
Done with the 5 things and working on entering the 5 items now. I'm going to time myself to see if I can do 10 mins per item, but I was never able to do it before. 😮😅
@@RockstarFlipper no, no clothing yet. I have mostly pretty unique, vintage items so far, that need to be researched before being posted, and handled with care. It took me about 3 hours to list those 5 items. That means each item cleaned, pictures taken, measured, weighed, figured out which box to ship it in so I can put the correct dimensions and weight of box in the listing, then pictures remastered so they look nice and uploaded to my computer, then item researched to get the correct price, put together a nice description (meaning correct the AI description which I always use), document the SKU so I know where to find the item, and finally list. But I got 2 new sales this morning already! Thank you! 😊 Though I didn't have an issue with slow sales. I did have to deal with someone who tried to scam me for the first time (I know it's not the last, I'm not naive) with an INOD this morning. I communicated with her nicely and luckily she backed away, and actually left me a positive feedback, which shocked me, but I'll take it! 😃
@@LilianaWesti wondered, too, about the total time, as I usually clean shoes, measure things, prep, etc. Not sure if that time was included in the 10 min or not.
@@susanepstein5874 yes, that's impossible, unless you have very similar items and can use a cookie-cutter approach with no research because you know exactly what you're selling, and even then, I don't know...
What are your thoughts on pricing items high and using sale events to bring the prices down to where you actually want them? More work, but would you expect more sales due to the discounts showing a bigger number and perhaps catching more eyes? Do buyers pay attention to only the total cost or is am item showing as on sale going to create more sales even if it's not the cheapest price?
@@eric38243 I use to know a girl who did just that. $100 shoes. 50% off. $50. She only wanted $50. So she basically doubled everything give or take. Want $100? Price it at $200 50% off
I ended 250 items that were 60 days old. I bulk edited the price to reduce the price .99. This is some of my olest amd least desirable product. As i was doong the change I thought I should just do a 50% off sale. No sales. No views. I will discount after this weekend. Lesson? Some stuff is just not good and it will take a very attractive price to get it sold. Crap is crap.
I've never sold anything on eBay, but have an active account. Never even listed anything yet. I've been selling books & media on Amazon FBA for nine years, but am thinking of transitioning to eBay. For someone brand new, are books, DVDs, & CDs a good way at all to begin? Are those categories any good for eBay as compared to selling them on Amazon? Thanks.
What is your opinion on how long to run a promoted campaign? Do you set a time or set it to continuous? Does one give you better results over the other?
Casey, I've been promoting everything at 5% this year because I heard somewhere that it will show up in Google search at 5% or more. My question is, if I reduce to 3% do you think I will see a decrease in sales? Should I wait to do that until after the holidays(when sales slow down anyway)? What are your thoughts on this?
I just want to know what’s up with the ground advantage price? It’s at full price versus the normal discount rate on both my PC and mobile I noticed it when I shipped a package and instead of eat the max of 69 cents from my flat rate, I ate almost $2! Most of all my packages have always been 4.68 tops shipping for the size and weight and what I ship them in and now minimum is $6.05-$650. Luckily now that I’ve caught it I’ve linked my pirate ship account to eBay which has the same type of discount rates so if I need to ship again I’ll use that instead. Also you can get desktop site and n your phone through the web browser and have all the feature that are on your desktop.
I don’t have a store so I don’t think I can do some of the things you suggest, but I will do what I can. If I’m mistaken, let me know. I’m a PT reseller but like everyone else, I want my stuff to sell!
ok 1) already done that with price; 2 sales 2 weeks; 2)Been doing condition box for years for all used items; 3)oh some specifics are just plain stupid and then ck do not ask again...til relist; 4) only doing 1 campaign always 2.3; 5) mark/disc: always do 2 ...one weekday and one weekend!! pfffff still dragging sales...! Oh and I also do sell similar and now up to items listed in July!
Hi Rockstar. I’m fairly new to eBay as a seller and have never used the campaign strategy for all of my items. Should I be using the priority option or the General? Please advise. Thank you in advance 😊
Casey, I'm not sure I know what a campaign is. I have 2 campaigns. Those are promotions, right? Most are around 2%, but some are around 5%. How do I change all listings to five days shipping/handling? It shows Quantity sold 4 100.00%vs. prior time period and Clicks 186 14.81%vs. prior time period. What does that mean? and Ad fees $4.19 270.80%vs. prior time period
Yes Campaign is for PROMOTED LISTINGS. 2% 3% or whatever. Why would you want to change everything to 5 day handling? thats VERY SLOW.. what are they currently?
@@RockstarFlipper I typically always ship out within one day, and my shipping speed is excellent. However, I had a stroke last year, and I rely on a caregiver to help me package anything at this time, and I would rather have that extra day or 2. I currently have everything to send out within 3 days. Ty!
3% should be good. many people don't promote, you beat them out, and many do the minimum 2% so off the bat you are beating probably 70% or more of sellers
Hi Rockstar, I started to do what you said which all seems like a great idea. After changing a few listings, I realized that these changes could really mess up my links connected to List Perfectly. I honestly could do this without LP. Do you or your followers have any suggestions I can do your ideas without it effecting the links with LP?
Great info. ??? If i end promoted but buyer had it watched from google ad while promoted will ebay take promoted fee? I highly promoted so wondering if that will be an issue before starting sale. Thanks
97% sell through at the moment, and I'm still looking for ways to improve. Your sale vs coupon idea (and the reason for it) was something I needed to hear. Switching up the strategy tomorrow morning. Thank you.
I think you're calculating your sell through rate incorrectly.... 97% is basically impossible. Many people have 100 items active listed and they have 50 items in sold so they do 50/100 and think its 50% sell through rate... its not. its 50/150 (you TOTALLY LISTED 150 not 100). so 50/150 is 33% Can you recalculate and let me know
@@RockstarFlipper Different people calculate sell through in different ways. My way is the most commonly taught method...plus, it's the most vain and personally satisfying. Your way is the correct way (mathematically), which is no fun at all. At the time of posting (last night), I had 705 active listings and 685 sold over the past 90 days. So I guess that's 49.28%. I'd like to keep doing it incorrectly.
It is literally everywhere. I keep seeing the same thing. I dunno what to think but I have seen you say this before. Thanks for the videos by the way very cool. I don't understand how people get such good shipping costs though. Some of the items I have are little cost but big and bulky to ship. I've seen some videos but maybe I'm not finding the right video. The other thing is I use ebay calculator and am very educated on my prices. I see some of the other sellers selling the same thing and If I input those same values into that ebay calculator I literally end up with a $1 or 3$ and ebay ends up with $30 ?! I literally get %50 or sometimes more of a discount on the items I sell and still can't compete. What do I do with that ?! lol
What I started doing is running a sale every Friday morning thru Sunday night. I’m in my 3rd weekend of trying this and it is boosting my weekend sales. Why not run it all week? Well during the week I still make full price and best offer sales. The weekend is just so I can get inventory moving that might have been sitting for awhile.
@@mickid3504 absolutely. More free listings once you hit those number of active Quarterly shipping supply coupons for basic and higher Customizing And the ability to run markdown sales. Priceless
I had a coupon going. I deleted/ended it but it still shows in my store “10% off with coupon” How can I fix that or does it take a bit for it to go away? I was wanting to set up a sales event instead per your recommendation.
I don't like to give ebay more money buy i promote 10% and done 12% before as well and my sales increased significantly compared to 2 or 3 % promotion.
@@JamesWilson-ci8jc yeah that’s to much. Your up to giving eBay 26%. Over a 1/4 just in fees. If that’s what it takes to sell an item it’s bad. An item should sell itsself

Unfortunately real sellers know all of these things and it does not fix the problems. 14k item store, from January to now down 50k on the 90 day.
Promoted is totally up to you, i just think anything above 3% or 5% MAX is to much
Thanks for Video! Good Information! 😊
Anytime thanks for watching
traffic picked up with the sale, relisting, and listing new items as outlined- sales also starting to trickle in
Thanks bud. You definitely helped my sales!
Thank you!! always available if you need
Dear Rockstar Flipper, you're terrific and a great encourager! Love your vids! One more thing! Please pray for me. I'm going through a divorce! I'm divorcing my Inventory! LOL.
lol 😂 love your comment
LOVE IT!!!
😂😂
Done with the 5 things and working on entering the 5 items now. I'm going to time myself to see if I can do 10 mins per item, but I was never able to do it before. 😮😅
Clothing? 10-12 mins MAX
I been sharing with people your older video about refreshing your eBay store
You dont need to edit listing to change price , you can do it on active listing main page
Yes! So much more efficient. Two tabs open the other window I check active and recent solds and adjust if necessary.
Yes you can, but most people need to do other edits so either way
Great advise
Happy to help
Interesting...eBay tells me to drop it $1 all the time....after your video... I WILL!
Want $100? Price it at $200 50% off
Quick Question: Does is matter if I bulk update pricing and adding recommended specifics/condition updates or is it better to update individually?
doesnt make a difference
Okay, I'll report back in a week and let you know if there was a difference in sales.
Yup 7-10 days you should see results
Thanks for all tiip
Anytime
I ended 250 items that were 60 days old. I bulk edited the price to reduce the price .99. This is some of my olest amd least desirable product. As i was doong the change I thought I should just do a 50% off sale. No sales. No views. I will discount after this weekend. Lesson? Some stuff is just not good and it will take a very attractive price to get it sold. Crap is crap.
Right if you do all this and items arent moving or getting any traction its a bad item probably
Thanks.
@@GoldAndSilver988 for sure. They don’t as fast as Amazon generally but they are great items to start with
What is your opinion on how long to run a promoted campaign? Do you set a time or set it to continuous? Does one give you better results over the other?
Continuous
Awesome advice
Thank you!!
❤❤❤ thank you!
Welcome!!
Thanks
You're welcome!
Great video
@@sandarellaSD you can’t run a markdown sale without a store correct. Why don’t you have a store? How many active?
@@RockstarFlipper I only have about 100 listings. I hope to get to the point to open a store eventually.
@@sandarellaSDsame!
Thanks great video ! No more dynamic lol
I think its to expensive and everyone whos reported back to me said it didn't help much
@@RockstarFlipper yeah has helped a bit not much too high
ok 1) already done that with price; 2 sales 2 weeks; 2)Been doing condition box for years for all used items;
3)oh some specifics are just plain stupid and then ck do not ask again...til relist; 4) only doing 1 campaign always 2.3; 5) mark/disc: always do 2 ...one weekday and one weekend!! pfffff still dragging sales...! Oh and I also do sell similar and now up to items listed in July!
Sounds like you're on top of it
Sounds like you need better items.
Hi Rockstar. I’m fairly new to eBay as a seller and have never used the campaign strategy for all of my items. Should I be using the priority option or the General? Please advise. Thank you in advance 😊
General
Casey, I'm not sure I know what a campaign is. I have 2 campaigns. Those are promotions, right? Most are around 2%, but some are around 5%. How do I change all listings to five days shipping/handling? It shows Quantity sold
4
100.00%vs. prior time period and Clicks
186
14.81%vs. prior time period. What does that mean? and Ad fees
$4.19
270.80%vs. prior time period
Ty!
Is 3-4% promoted enough in competitive categories like clothing ?
I do 2.1% on many items and yes this lower rate works for me!!
3% should be good. many people don't promote, you beat them out, and many do the minimum 2% so off the bat you are beating probably 70% or more of sellers
Do you have a video on "campaigns" ? I really don't understand that at all.
Will do!
Can't wait to see how it works out for you
I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but as soon as I bulk dropped my price and ended my campaigns I got a sale 😮. My store was dead the last few days.
Could be a coicidence. Dropping prices always works for more sales
Thanks
If they have it already saved from a promoted campaign yes the fee counts
@@RockstarFlipper Thank you!
Thank you❤

what you do customer changes shipping method?
Can you run a promo sales event without a paid shop? I have the free version and I’m fairly new…I didn’t think this was possible. Thank you….
The promoted listings yes, a markdown sale no
@@RockstarFlipper Thanks!! Literally relisting a few old listings NOW after watching your video :)
you are awesome
97% sell through at the moment, and I'm still looking for ways to improve. Your sale vs coupon idea (and the reason for it) was something I needed to hear. Switching up the strategy tomorrow morning. Thank you.
I think you're calculating your sell through rate incorrectly.... 97% is basically impossible.
Many people have 100 items active listed and they have 50 items in sold so they do 50/100 and think its 50% sell through rate... its not. its 50/150 (you TOTALLY LISTED 150 not 100). so 50/150 is 33%
Can you recalculate and let me know
@@RockstarFlipper Different people calculate sell through in different ways.
@@BritniRoss lol I can’t not laugh at the comment 😂. I get it. More satisfying but a false sense of sales totals
What do I do with that ?! lol
Do not use eBay calculator I put my own shipping cost in as well so that way you will get more sales and not have to give it all to eBay
Correct, flat or free, not calculated is my advice
@@Driftless-Region-Flippers What do you mean by your own shipping cost? How does this help get more sales? Hope your day is good thx for the reply!
Does it hurt you to reduce the promoted percentage?
What I started doing is running a sale every Friday morning thru Sunday night. I’m in my 3rd weekend of trying this and it is boosting my weekend sales.
Why not run it all week? Well during the week I still make full price and best offer sales. The weekend is just so I can get inventory moving that might have been sitting for awhile.
Is it worth it to get the store? What are the advantages?
@@mickid3504 absolutely. More free listings once you hit those number of active
Quarterly shipping supply coupons for basic and higher
Customizing
And the ability to run markdown sales. Priceless
You can run sales events and coupons.
I had a coupon going. I deleted/ended it but it still shows in my store “10% off with coupon” How can I fix that or does it take a bit for it to go away? I was wanting to set up a sales event instead per your recommendation.
It takes a few mins sometimes
I don't like to give ebay more money buy i promote 10% and done 12% before as well and my sales increased significantly compared to 2 or 3 % promotion.
@@JamesWilson-ci8jc yeah that’s to much. Your up to giving eBay 26%. Over a 1/4 just in fees. If that’s what it takes to sell an item it’s bad. An item should sell itsself
When I end and relist, I lose visibility of the original day the item was listed. Is there a way to do it and still retain this information

Unfortunately real sellers know all of these things and it does not fix the problems. 14k item store, from January to now down 50k on the 90 day. We are top rated, offer 60 day free returns, no negative feedback, Promote at 17% (our cogs are super low) etc, etc, etc. no restrictions on our account. Same supply than the previous 2 years. Sales are in the crapper and get worse every week. Met with upper level eBay managers with no resolution. Items are missing do not show in search, nothing over 60 days old. Jan 20th 2024 update broke alot of stuff thats all we know. good luck people.
It fixes stores just fine.. Ill be happy to do a FREE store audit for you and help get sales kicking again
I'm about 89% certain that at least half of the statements made in your comment are either completely false, or at least not 100% reality. A personal one-on-one with upper management? Right.
dropping prices because usps has raised their once again....ugh
