If there's no budget concern, definitely I'm getting 99 Pro, but given a lower budget version Tour which has similar aesthetic and descent performance, Tour definitely is another good choice.
IDK if it’s just me, but I had the opportunity to hold a few of the same 99Pro in a shop, all being the same 4U model and each felt like it had a different balance point (some head heavier than others), might be another factor to consider when picking up one! Loved the video!
I will never understand how some people just pick any racket ,play with it and don't even know the Name of the Racket.!! I don't even plan to buy a new racket currently but here I am still Watching every New racket review 😂😂
It's soooo common. My friends would go to the shop, pick up a racquet that they think looks pretty and is within their budget, give it a few dry swings, and go "this is nice" and buy it. Haha.
Awesome video. I want to get one of the Astrox 99 but not sure which one. Leaning on towards either the play or game.. btw did anyone see the background at 6:29 lol
Interesting that almost everyone preferred the Pro versions, are these players on the university team or just casual players? I'm a low-intermediate doubles player currently using an 88S Game and looking to step up to something with a bit more power, either the 88D or 100. Do you think the Game, Tour, or Pro versions of these rackets would be the best for me, if budget isn't an issue? Thanks!
It’s certainly a mixed ability group so a good balance 👍🏼 if you’re looking for easiest power as well as ease of play, the 88S Pro stood out for me in that department 👍🏼
Since you said low intermediate level. I think 100 will be less forgiving for you. From S to D/ZZ is a two different animal. If budget isn’t issue of course go to Pro models, but I met several players bought Pro version but unable to maximize the potential of the racket due to the extra stiff and poor string tension and choice. You better try it out first in the real game whether it fit your game play or not. Otherwise, that will be waste of money.

I am looking for a racket and that's why I watched your recent videos on 88D pro, 99 pro and 100zz over and over again but I am still clueless. My current racket is voltric 7DG and I have been meaning to buy a new racket to match my skill level. I am a singles player who likes to attack and control
I think racket matters but the thing that matter the most is having a good badminton shoe that can prevent you from injury give you a comfortable feel so you can have a smooth footwork and lastly will not slip on the court what do you say?

Love it keep it coming - I think it'll be nice to do the same comparing different types of racket per person (to see them find which racket they might like and why) Like if someone is quite powerful they don't mind going for something faster and quick if power isn't an issue
@@CKYew It's difficult to judge without trying. I actually bought the 88D Pro as I'm keen to see the difference for myself and will either keep both or sell one :)

Hi, Between 88d ge and 100 game which one is more powerful full. Which one is good for double both front and back. Both 4u model. Kindly help me to buy new racket
Can I ask about what do you think better between Astrox 88D, 88D Pro, 99 Pro, Victor Thruster F Enchantrd Edition, Aura Speed 100X, and Yonex Voltric Z Force II for back court player? And please explain why you choose it.. if you have other recommendation besides the one above please tell me
I personally found that a pro racket had easier defense, faster swing speed, a little less power, a lot better control and a hard punchy feel(maybe coz of string). I used astrox 88d pro Edit: I have started feeling a slight pain in my elbow after using the pro racket, taking a couple of days off
Yea i would really agree on the string matter more then the racket it self. and i don't think that the high end racket gives u the power and control more then a good string will provide so if u got the budget then go for those high end racket but if u dont then just go for the entry level one but always use the best string that suits u the best...
I wonder if they didn't know the racket names- Pro, Tour and Game, if they would still feel the same? The moniker is quite obvious and probably created bias.

*TLDR: I would choose the highest end option of a model lineup that fits my preference* Honestly, I'm too neurotic and have a bad case of FOMO; I'll still get a 99 pro even if it meant I had to wait a really long time just for the peace of mind of knowing that it's the highest quality choice in the lineup. This is all after considering the lineup's properties, and how well it fits my play of course
PLAY offer the best value, and is certainly good enough for casual and friendly games. For others who prefer lighter 5U rackets, Yonex LITE series offers even better value than the PLAY series. Skills matter more than expensive rackets!
To me the word Pro is a give away that's the most expensive. However is the difference in performance worth the $? I'm not sure what's Yonex marketing strategy. Making a McClaren available to everyone? Personally don't like this new strategy. Rather confusing and soon the entire club can be using a Arcsaber 11.
This is still kinda biased because players can see racket names (if I even used the term correctly). This kind of test can only be done with completely blank rackets. Ofc ppl say PRO is better than PLAY because of the name.
