All in good fun. I was surprised though that Pat didn't recognise a national player. It just goes to show badminton is really a less popular sport in the UK. I may be wrong though.

Heaps of credit to Pat. He took the gag really well.
More importantly in my book, as a good 'intermediate' he was prepared to play a beginner that he didn't know. Too many club players forget their roots and don't want to play with or against beginners.

Amazing, I was smiling while watching. A story: I help to coach beginners at a badminton leisure school in Porto, Portugal. We had this blonde foreign guy once coming for our training sessions. As I always do, I play a bit with beginners to measure their skill and fit them with same level players. I start playing with him with a plastic shuttle and in a few rounds, I noticed it was worth it to switch to feathers. 15 minutes later I was dripping sweat like I was in a competitive game. I paused for breathing and ask "So, you have played before, where?" His answer "Oh in the Czech Republic, I was in the youth national team." :D Shout out there for Jan!

With the racket hand switch, you can straight away hear that distinct sound pro players make. Speaking of playing actual games, please upload your games if you can-either both of you playing mixed doubles or singles. But a serious game that is.😀

this could be an opportunity for long series?! Like, you pretend to be a beginner for 15minutes, if the person is good sport offer to coach them (I don't even know if you do that). That'd give an idea for range of players to experience somewhat what a coaching session could bring them and hopefully entice a lot more people to try to become better at the game :) just an idea :D keep up the good work

This was amazing! Kudos to Pat, too! And are you ambidextrous? You hit perfect shots with your right hand in other videos.

Funny video guys! I though that the game would start with Pat saying "You look a like..." as your popularity is quite growing over the past year. But it was funny, props to Pat for being a sport and also you guys for giving him a coaching session afterwards.

That's so cool! Makes me wonder what my footwork is really like .... is it as bad as Greg's at the start? Hopefully It's somewhere between the "bad" and the "good" - I'll have to get someone to video me playing and hope I'm not too embarrassed with the outcome 😯😅

@@BadmintonInsight Hi again guys. Just wondering if you do "one off" coaching sessions? We're coming down from North Wales to Milton Keynes at the end of August (mother in law lives nearby) and it would be great to have a coaching session with one of you, at your rates of course. I know it would just be an hour, but I've got so much out of your videos, I'm sure it would be really helpful to me to have a few pointers to work on. No worries if this doesn't work for you, but thought I'd ask 🙂

Wrist movement tells one is player or not...all pro players jerk their wrist and produces enormous power.. and the sound from the string is music for any badminton lover

I do like this concept for playing against people if you aren't in a club. In the Netherlands you have an app for within a club, there it is mostly dividing people and creating groups.

Nice content. please make a tutorial for cross-backhand drop shots! How to make the birdie fast. I can land a few shots but the birdie is a little bit slow. been struggling to perfect that shot.

Greg was doing so well with his Right hand!
I'm Right-handed, and I've tried playing Badminton with my left hand.
Let me tell you: I can manage, but it isn't easy!
    Props to him for that.
