Awesome Shawn!! your passion for Gord and the Hip's music shines through. Not being Canadian, I've always been transfixed by the loyalty of their fans to their incredible music, lyrics and cohesiveness. I got to see them in small clubs in Harrisburg, PA in the late 80's early 90's. Feel blessed. The Psychedelic Furs opened for the first show I saw, very surreal! Was very saddened by Gord's passing. I play and try to sing their songs all the time. Keep their presence going! Thank You!
Written by Gord in memory of Jim Ellison of Critical Issue. Jims band was on their way up and a chance meeting with Gord left a powerful impression on Gord. A few years later Gord found out that Jim had committed suicide, so he wrote a song about their fleeting encounter.
