Philly Grea Battles also come down to strategy, for example Battle of The Bulge where the Germans were better equipped then the allies but lost due to poor strategy and fuel management for vehicles.
Well, not that easy. Stormtroopers would win in vast majority of environments and situations. When in advantage they would be victorious like 9 out of 10 or almost 10 out of10 situations, however when in disadvantage they still could be difficult opponent winning like 3 out of 10 engagments. Moreover Stormtroopers got plenty of specialized troops that could be used when realizing nontypical task. Rebels were perfectly aware of it and they did great job in allocating available resources and personel in such a way that they in certain situations they could gain some strategic advantage, because they could not won the war through simple attrition. Competent Rebel commander would be simply avoiding any direct confrontation looking for opportunity instead - a situtation when risking direct engagment could potentially provide some strategic lever.

It would be more expensive to camouflage the stormtroopers. The empire would rather have more stormtroopers then have less with camouflage plus stormtroopers aren't always stationed to one place they move around so there would be no point in spending money on high quality paint if they couldn't use it after one battle because the climate and planet they go to fight on next is different.

Aemilius Brutus No no thats fine. I just felt it was still important enough to bring them up too since in a few years from now people will say the same stuff about them. Plus a few of there stromtroopers had to have been in the EMPIRE beforehand, possibly.
The Stormtroopers also receive a very taff training on Carida. A planet with many different environments and a higher gravity which strenghts their muscles.
The " child soldiers " lost their parents due to the Empire actions. These teenagers want pay back. Listen SJW read up on the history of warfare, 14 year old males have always been in war zone conflicts.
Where do you find your pictures? They are great I love the one with Han in the prison holding area. I haves looked for it but could not find it. Thanks for the help.
Stormtroopers use a wide variety of weapons, including those more suited for longer range engagements I believe, that and having incomparably better training would give them the advantage in virtually any environment.
Honestly I could see the rebels having a fair chance in certain urban environments with the use of guerrilla tactics, especially if it's a high rising city like Coruscant where they would have plenty of alleys and high spots to use
EXCELLENT Video and Compare and Contrast layout. Well done on the Military Prowess of both Groups. Very Good. This is a Great resource for Indie/Independent film makers. Good explanations and examples. THANK YOU "The Lore Master".
I think that the empire would lose some battles in close quarter combat because the rebel army had a variation of weapons. An example would be the DL 44 ( heavy blaster pistol ) ect.
The storm troopers are "stupid" in Star Wars rebels miss because there are only about 5 main characters in any engagement seen on the show so far. If it was a war time setting such as in the clone wars, there would be more larger battles and more rebels would be seen being killed. That's what I believe about the show
Yes I agree the only people they fight in the series are the main characters, if they fight the Rebels soldiers in the series they will litterally obliterate them
Yeah, the Empire dominates in larger battles. The Empire was geared more toward open warfare on the Clone Wars' Scale. Star destroyers had many ship-to-ship and orbital bombardment weaponry. TIE Fighters were mostly anti-starfighter ships. And the stormtrooper's numbers, training and equipment were best suited for complete warfare. However the rebels mainly fought a guerrilla war. The rebels ship's had hyperdrives to do hit & runs and the soldiers focused on ambushing. With Vietnam as proof, to take down a bigger and more advanced enemy, use guerrilla warfare.
Alan Garcia If im not mistaken he said they had low morale, and i thought back to the movies and other media, and i cannot remember stormtroopers not following orders or being afraid.
Not retreating or not refusing orders isn't the same as good morale. They might have followed orders, but been less willing to take risks, push on, or focus on the battlefield.
+lekhaclam87 they would steamroll the IoM. They have safer, faster and more reliable ftl and better ship weaponry. A single ISD can render a planet uninhabitable via base delta zero. The IoM required specialised ships and virus bombs for exterminatus. The galactic empire at its height owned an entire galaxy, the IoM had half a galaxy at best.
+Oleg Balashov The IoM has warp power which although unstable is far superior to force power, at least to my knowledge of the two. Also the space marines will probably wipe the floor with those stormtroopers.
Empire doesn't stand a chance. The Imperium of Man has boarding actions that would ruin a Star Destroyer, Space Marines are basically pocket Rancors with Fully Automatic Grenade Launchers, and the Imperial Guard would demolish the Empire on the ground.
We honor all those brave men and women that sacrifice their life and protect us from the terrorist scum, and may the dead watch over us in their eternal vigil. Glory to the Empire!!!
The Stormtroopers would completely steamroll the Rebels in a fair fight. The Rebels aren't idiots, there is a reason they fight through Guerrilla warfare. 500 Stormtroopers VS 500 Rebels wouldn't even be a fight, it would be a massacre. Also, I would like a source for stormtroopers having low morale. From what I've seen the stormtroopers seem to follow orders without a second thought. Also, 1:14 What are you doing here Marco Rubio? 2:56 Does that remind you of any other organization? Here's a hint. It starts with Al and ends with Qaeda. 3:08 "Armed groups distinct from the national armed forces should not, under any circumstances, recruit (whether on a compulsory or voluntary basis) or use in hostilities persons under the age of 18 years, and the States must take legal measures to prohibit and criminalize such practices" - Article 14 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child Yet another Rebel war crime. 3:11 Actually Fact Free, we know of at least one Rebel who was 11 years old. Its kind of disgusting when you think about it. But I digress, great video, the script especially. I am glad to see the Rebel propaganda has not taken a hold on your mind!
Jen'Ari-Asha Define "neutral terrain". And no Army is gonna fight fair, so even using the "fair fight" as an example when comparing (like these VS videos) is wrong as that would never actually happen in practise.
Clinton Oh Yes, an army is never going to fight fair. That's why the Rebels won. Because they fought dirty. Because they used dishonorable tactics. Not because they are better soldiers. That's my point. The Rebel strategy is more effective, but their soldiers are inferior.
Jen'Ari-Asha "Dishonourable tactics" here we go with that bullshit again. Fighting is fighting. Fighting is not a nice thing, it is not an honourable thing. Fighting is dirty, it is cruel, it is violent. Fighting is about survival. "Honour" will not save your life. Inferior on an individual training level, yes. But you can't say the force is inferior when it has won.
armour is basically a straight jacket and to make matters worse the helmet has two stupid protrusions around the chin so again more restricted movement. lack of mobility is a death sentence to infantry. And offers not protection if it can’t stop a blaster with all those cons then it totally useless.
If I remember, the protrusions contain coms equipment and breathing apparatus when in a different/lack of atmosphere. The armor was useful, as it forced the rebels into equipping themselves with cumbersome (and expensive) blasters. It also provides a strong psycological buff, making the troopers feel stronger.
@@paulh.9526 Yes, the helmets had certain equipment installed (like rebreathers and such) but they also limit fields of vision - not a huge problem when fighting on a starship or in a building (where the quarters are fairly tight and you really only need focus on what's in front of you), but in conditions like street fighting or wilderness combat (where there are more opportunities for the opposition to make flanking attacks) that can be quite a disadvantage. And the overall effectiveness of one's armor is reduced when the enemy has weapons capable of punching through it - yes, these imposed some logistical difficulties on the Rebel forces but the disadvantage incurred by them still doesn't outweigh the benefits of the heavy weapons.
The Empire adapted to their disadvantage at long range. So they trained specialized stormtroopers just for that, a full squad of those specialized stormtroopers could have an even higher chance to win against the rebels.
If rebels ever found themselves in a straight shootout with Stormtroopers, something had gone badly wrong. They were neither trained nor equipped to handle conventional engagements. Asymmetric warfare was more their MO.
The Rebels didn’t necessarily have better pilots. They had a few really good pilots, but they had better starfighters. The Imperial pilots had proper training, but they didn’t get as much recognition due to the fact that the Imperials didn’t promote individuality, so the aces they did have didn’t get much attention. But they did get to fly TIE Defenders, so that’s a plus.
The quality of pilots is up for debate, but the Rebellion certain had better quality starfighters as they often came equipped with shields and hyperdrive units most Imperial starfighters had no shielding and relied upon capital ships for inter-stellar transport (with some notable exceptions like the TIE-defender - which didn't really see wide use in the conflict).
thats what ita based on the rebel A295 looks like an ar 15 and the blaster rifle for the rebels in battlefont 2 and 1 is based off a m16 and during the battle of hoth the used the A295 not the A280 a sorta mistake in the video
We need Shocktroopers, Shadow Troopers, all phases of Darktrooper, Purgetroopers, Aquatroopers, Magma Troopers, Flametroopers (Imperial), Novatroopers, Navy Troopers, Army Troopers, Lavatroopers, Mudtroopers, and Imperial technicians in Battlefront 2 as troop classes and skins.
If the Stormtroopers had kept The environmental Camo they used previously in the Clone war's they would have a more chance of winning. Including the Elite training they once used as Clones against separatist.
Not that's not the right answer and I'll tell you why: If they wanted the good guys to win, why did George Lucas wanted an alternate ending where luke would put on vaders helmet saying "now I am vader" with a dark ending. Also: The reason why the stormtroopers lost was because the empire was in a rush the being stormtroopers on endor so they just sent regular soldiers to be in time to stop the rebels, which is why you don't see camouflaged armor or elite stormtroopers. And if they didn't have Hans and Leias smart thinking and chewbaccas strength and droids, the rebels could have lost if they went solo
+Lyrics writer GEORGE LUCAS WANTED THAT ENDING TO HAVE A CHANCE OF MAKING MORE STAR WARS MOVIES AND THE STORMTROOPERS WERE VERY POWERFUL AND THEY HAD AT AT TANKS IN ENDOR AND ALSO THE EMPIRE HAD MILLIONS OF TROOPS AND THEY COULD SENT AS MUCH THEY WANTED IN ENDOR BUT THEY DIDN'T BECAUSE ALWAYS THE FUCKING GOOD GUYS HAVE TO WIN
Templar S but why do the good guys always have to win, if we saw every movie in 2014-2015 and we knew that the good guys will always win, won't that be be boring? Think this through its obvious. It's nice to see the bad guys win for once
So basicly each faction would win in the situation they are trained and equipped for... makes sense.
Just like battlefront
Philly Grea Battles also come down to strategy, for example Battle of The Bulge where the Germans were better equipped then the allies but lost due to poor strategy and fuel management for vehicles.

the Cadian shock troops are the best in the Imperium
+Artemis Fowl Krieg are more hardcore
+Artemis Fowl lol, definitely.
Who is Artemis fowl?
THANK YOU! Stormtroopers are excellent soldiers and dont miss unless ordered!
Evil Empire uses a volunteer army, and the "good guys" use child soldiers. Think on that for a second.
The " child soldiers " lost their parents due to the Empire actions. These teenagers want pay back. Listen SJW read up on the history of warfare, 14 year old males have always been in war zone conflicts.
Just replace empire with America and rebels with Islam and rebel sympathizers with SJWS
Adam Isaksson rebels are space terrorists wake up
Robert Weston hmm yes very evil like blowing up an entire planet of mostly innocents
not everyones a sjw just saying
Where do you find your pictures? They are great I love the one with Han in the prison holding area. I haves looked for it but could not find it. Thanks for the help.
Here you go: orig02.deviantart.net/e2b3/f/2012/355/2/1/star_wars___escape_attempt_by_henning-d5opx65.jpg
Sweet. Thanks
Love these videos! Short and sweet, and to the point!
You didn't leave a stone unturn!
+ΝΙΚΟΣ ΜΑΡΕΤΣΙΚΟΣ ?
Sorry ,I mean that you analyses is excellent and with out any wholes!
Don't worry; Fact Free is a weeaboo with very little social skills. That is why he did not get the saying.
NickRand You spilled the beans on me. But yeah, read this comment in the middle of the night and completely thought it was saying something else lol
Fact Free lel
Stormtroopers use a wide variety of weapons, including those more suited for longer range engagements I believe, that and having incomparably better training would give them the advantage in virtually any environment.
lol nice OW play of the game music. I know you tried sneaking that in there ;)
Stormtroopers all the way!!!
FOR THE EMPIRE!!!!!
uhh... mister xeno... you should fear the predator and the USCM
ALIEN DRONE Rebels are Heretical Scum
I agreed
Skyrim belongs to the Nords
ALIEN DRONE there are 66 likes on this comment
Is that fucking Overwatch music in the background?
+SergeantRaccoon Yes
+Fact Free nice
I thought so
The most overrated game
+Darth Vader ikr
Anyobe else notice how the music sounds similar to overwatch theme
Then why were the stormtroopers terrible shots on Tatooine and Bespin?
Jakromha on tatooine they aren't. On bespin you literally see vader order them to lure Luke to him.
Oleg Balashov "stop that ship, blast them!"
Jakromha not really surprising for an ex military sumggler as skilled as Han to escape that easily. Plus that's just cheesy dialogue.
Oleg Balashov Being a smuggler means that you are better at going unnoticed, not that the enemy isn't able to shoot you when they do notice you.
Jakromha han is ex military, ex imperial so he probably understood the targeting patters of the Empire
Is that overwatch music I hear in the background?
Yep, it's the track of "Play of the Game" that plays at then end of a match
Finally someone who knows that stormtroopers are not as bad as they are being told they are
I agree storm troopers are awesome
With Vietnam as proof, to take down a bigger and more advanced enemy, use guerrilla warfare.
love the overwatch music in the background in a star wars video
Stormtrooper armor is also useless against sticks. The blind monk did it in Rouge One.
Hyperion nah I think it's just because the stormtroopers a pussy cats
Hyperion If you generate enough force you can get through any armor. Especially blows to the head.
Regardless of armor, getting hit with a blunt object hard enough will do damage.
Hyperion hey the stick can snap neck a quarter staff like he has is actually more deadly than a long sword if used correctly
Y u burry mee, u sor rood
Now I just feel bad for the storm troopers
Except for the guy fighting Finn with the shock weapon, he was a badass
That stormtrooper was FO [first order]
1:10 When storm troopers have enough of people making fun of them
SPOILER ALERT!! In rogue one a storm trooper dies!!
Thanks a lot you ruined the movie for me. (Just kidding)
NOOOOOOO WHY
Luke Mitchell in rogue one stormtroopers die like ants
YET ANOTHER SPOILER ALERT:
IN ROGUE ONE,A TIE FIGHTER BLEW UP!
Lol, at first I read the yoda thing as bad grammar, but I then read it in a yoda voice xD
Did the stormtroopers have low morale? i cant recall a part in the movies where they retreated without being ordered?
Alan Garcia If im not mistaken he said they had low morale, and i thought back to the movies and other media, and i cannot remember stormtroopers not following orders or being afraid.
they were more afraid of being executed than whatever they were told to do.
Not retreating or not refusing orders isn't the same as good morale. They might have followed orders, but been less willing to take risks, push on, or focus on the battlefield.
Yeah, you can be depressed, and still follow orders.
epion660 Maybe.
This is your best Video of all Time
501st trooper: they were well trained. They were organized and they were everywhere
Could you do a VS vid on the galactic empire vs the imperium of man (40k)
I don't think the Galactic Empire has what it takes to take on the Imperium of Man at all!
Completely wrong there bro, want me to go into details?
This is the best thing I've ever watched
Play battlefront for the answer
Did anyone else hear overwatch music in the background
U just earned a sub and a like. It was very descriptive and i learned alot:)
We honor all those brave men and women that sacrifice their life and protect us from the terrorist scum, and may the dead watch over us in their eternal vigil. Glory to the Empire!!!
Amen
For the empire!
+Jen'Ari-Asha lel
For The Empire!
death to ulfric stormcloack... wait, I am wrong here, right?
so the empire lost because of the plot team wow just wow
Would you rather everyone died during the first movie and it be like 30 minutes long?
I know the important rebels always had a plot sheild... if only the empire won.
+Raging Agent Alternative Ending
+Raging Agent yes. i would love to see that.
+Raging Agent Jk
3:08 "Armed groups distinct from the national armed forces should not, under any circumstances, recruit (whether on a compulsory or voluntary basis) or use in hostilities persons under the age of 18 years, and the States must take legal measures to prohibit and criminalize such practices"
- Article 14 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
Yet another Rebel war crime.
3:11 Actually Fact Free, we know of at least one Rebel who was 11 years old. Its kind of disgusting when you think about it.
But I digress, great video, the script especially. I am glad to see the Rebel propaganda has not taken a hold on your mind!
"fair fight"
No such thing as a fair fight mate
+Clinton Oh Of course there is. Equal numbers fighting on a neutral terrain face to face.
Love your versus videos, you don't take a side and cover the majority of facts
If it's the 501st vs the rebels, then they stand a chance, if not then rip stormtroopers.
What if the rebels have a Jedi with them?
+Jedi Master what if the 501st had Darth Vader with them
and what if the stormtroopers have
darth vader with them , rip jedi and rebels
+Jedi Master that's a tiny chance
You do know the 501 killed a lot of Jedis?
14-15 year olds being stormtroopers was also common due to rushed training and expansion of empire
Anemic Royalty Evidence?
Anemic Royalty geetlys channel and star wars fandom, also star wars rebels, and if I recall properly you made a claim yourself stating I was "wrong"
Jay 0327 ih
But they were also better trained and were more likely to survive...
True
Now people know why stormtroopers are only knocked unconscious when shot.
Endor was the Vietnam for the empire. Change my mind
Or it could of been the Battle of Mokra(polish cavalry victory)
Victor E tru tru
Do Rebels vs Clones!
Yes
Please do
clones would wipe the floor with them.
not even their Storm Commandos could beat them
clones beat storm troopers so they definitely beat rebels
+commenter watcher yes true cause you have to remember no matter how much training the storm troopers have the clones were bred for war.
I love your videos !
The Empire adapted to their disadvantage at long range. So they trained specialized stormtroopers just for that, a full squad of those specialized stormtroopers could have an even higher chance to win against the rebels.
1:14 enyone hear that
Overwatch?
Thanks for this great information
E-11 is too short to be accurate
Lasers don't work like normal projectiles.
+Jen'Ari-Asha a blaster is not a lasergun
+Jen'Ari-Asha they're not lasers
they shoot plasma bolts
+Jen'Ari-Asha its not a laser dumbass, its a blaster
who else noticed the over watch theme 😂😂😂🐋
Lol yeah.
yup
Yeah
its a orchestral remix
An excellent one at that
If rebels ever found themselves in a straight shootout with Stormtroopers, something had gone badly wrong. They were neither trained nor equipped to handle conventional engagements. Asymmetric warfare was more their MO.
Stormtroopers are more trained and they have best army in galaxy
It's kind of dumb to compare these since each rebel was widely different in skill level
He addressed this.
.bdhhduidhu6 hdhrk
But the same can be said for stormtroopers
Pretty informative video! 👍🏻👏
Say what you want about ground troops, rebels had better pilots and fighters. Note how almost all major rebel battles were won in space or in the sky.
And those who own the sky, own the battle.
That’s only true because of plot convenience
Why does the rebel standard blaster look like a messed up german STG44?
thats what ita based on the rebel A295 looks like an ar 15 and the blaster rifle for the rebels in battlefont 2 and 1 is based off a m16 and during the battle of hoth the used the A295 not the A280 a sorta mistake in the video
It was based off the AR-15
very true
They used the AR-15 receiver to make it. I think thy used elements of the STG as well.
No, it looks like a STG44, the barrel and receiver all look the same. The only difference is the stock and barrel.
We need Shocktroopers, Shadow Troopers, all phases of Darktrooper, Purgetroopers, Aquatroopers, Magma Troopers, Flametroopers (Imperial), Novatroopers, Navy Troopers, Army Troopers, Lavatroopers, Mudtroopers, and Imperial technicians in Battlefront 2 as troop classes and skins.
The storm troopers should have been waaaay more professional, and their armor should be able to withstand more damadge.
Im late but theyr just knocked out
dat overwatch theme
Ay someone noticed. I personally love it.
+Fact Free As did I. Sounded very fitting
+Fact Free do WHY DID they STOPPED WORKING ON CLONES
+Fact Free tf2 is better
+SwegmeisterJ over watch will not beat tf2 it will never match tf2s history
If the Stormtroopers had kept The environmental Camo they used previously in the Clone war's they would have a more chance of winning. Including the Elite training they once used as Clones against separatist.
THE STORMTROOPERS LOST AT THE BATTLE OF ENDOR BECAUSE THEY WANTED THE GOOD GUYS TO WIN JUST FOR THAT
Not that's not the right answer and I'll tell you why:
If they wanted the good guys to win, why did George Lucas wanted an alternate ending where luke would put on vaders helmet saying "now I am vader" with a dark ending.
Also:
The reason why the stormtroopers lost was because the empire was in a rush the being stormtroopers on endor so they just sent regular soldiers to be in time to stop the rebels, which is why you don't see camouflaged armor or elite stormtroopers.
Templar S but why do the good guys always have to win, if we saw every movie in
2014-2015 and we knew that the good guys will always win, won't that be be boring? Think this through its obvious. It's nice to see the bad guys win for once
What atat? You lean atst right? That's pretty stupid to say because not a single at at was there
+Templar S quit typing in caps
No one:
Empire complains about battle of endor with traps and unfamiliar terrain
America during Vietnam war: Haha, you're funny.
