+matt Polley eh if galaxys was still up it the creators would have probably added an update that explained what they did and what their training was like and what kind of armor do they wear.
I mean some of the founding members were pretty well off senators. So that probably helped underwrite the initial cost. But also remember this isnt like a rebel cell here on earth. We're talking a Galactic scale here. One star system out of how many millions or billions were in the Republic/Empire joins them you have an entire SOLAR SYSTEMS worth of resources and man power. This is the universe where a 16-1700 meter spaceship can easily carry 45,000 and change personnel
everything is relative. relative to the comically large and financially wealthy Empire, they pretty much were. There was an estimated 1-2 trillion Imperial Military members during the height of the Empire's reign, relative to the Rebellion's 3 million or so soldiers/naval personnel.
+Fact Free I like either the assault or standard troopers. although i like to think there weren't entirely specific ranks. because although the force would've been organised, there wasn't enough man power to have numerous specific ranks, roles and roles for certain divisions. instead a few basic roles like the first few mentioned, the best trained would be sped ops but multipurpose and the regular troops would sometimes be trained as things like mechanics, medics, etc.
That hasn't been entirely specified like with Darth Maul and Asajj Ventress who both had somme kind of full length novel based on unreleased clone wars episodes. Cade bane had an arc with Boba Fett that wasn't released but there haven't been novels or anything based on it.
Wouldn't those 'rebel uniforms' from the tantive IV actually be simply Alderaani security uniforms or something along those lines? I mean, it was a 'consular ship' after all... Would the security for such a ship really be considered 'rebels' if they were simply protecting their own ambassador from all who threaten her?
Well the fact that tantive iv was not a consular ship after all, it was literally seen by darth vader detaching from rebel admiral raddus's flagship after scarif before jumping into hyperspace, therefore all personnel on that vessel is a rebel, even if they were wearing alderaan security uniform
i like it when the rebels have more aliens on there side, makes it fell like everyone wants the empire gone then just the humans, if the empire used aliens like thrawn did in the E.U. they may have won, think about it we see how of engineers and pilots the Mon calamari are, we see a lot of great Sullustan pilots in rotj, rodians and trandoshans are great hunters who are reduced to bounty hunters working against the empire, zabraks and wookies are great warriors, the empire could have made peace between the wookies and the trandoshans if they had drafted then into the imperial army instead of using them as slaves, if it was not for the empire's racism they would have had a stronger empire.
+Elijah blechman yeah I actually recently found out that the bounty hunter's guild had quite of an amount of hunters including a few major ones who didn't like hunting down rebels but they did it anyway to make ends meet that was until after the battle of endor.
Soon afterwards the EVIL galactic Rebel Alliance pays the price when the Vong war starts. They deserve to die horrible, brutal, and agonizing gruesome deaths for being the most boring characters in both personality and looks. I hope alot of them get gibbed by Vader's lightsaber in Rogue one.
You forget that the pathfinders main job was to act as an advance party during a planetary invasion or offensive, they would scout for a proper landing zone and hold it for as long as necessary until reinforcements arrived.
The tantive IV soldiers were not rebel soldiers, but they were Alderaan guards. They were also present during the Clone Wars as guards of Bail Organa. (Sorry for my bad English)
+Federico Cianchino you are right XD but the people from Aldearn (don't know how it's spelled) where major supporters of the rebellion thus why aldearn was exploded by the Death Star as a message and show of power
This a very good video. After learning more about Legends as I was growing up it seemed like the Rebel Alliance was a very loose decentralized organization ranging from volunteer soldiers and hired mercenaries for the battle front to governments of systems and individual making donations to the rebel cause making them affiliated to the rebel alliance. There was one resident in Jabba’s palace who was affiliated with the rebel alliance according to wookipedia so I wondered why he didn’t help out with Han Solo and Leia when they were captured. Turns out the character’s role for the rebel alliance was just a Corellian spice dealer or smuggler employed by Jabba but donated money to the rebel alliance.
@@michaelandreipalon359 he did make a cameo in the movies but was uncredited so they made an entire backstory for him just like Laudica who was Jabba’s gunrunner in the red jumpsuit that made fun of Oola dying!
+Ezrider 2003 The guy with the accent, who used to run this channel, did one. It would make no sense to remake it as that guy covered them all. It's in his older videos.
Just to point out, the Rebel Honor Guard were the Rebel Troopers stationed on Tantive IV. The Tantive IV troops were largely a ceremonial force from a planet with little military tradition and were armed with regular blasters versus rifles which the stormtroopers had.
+Fact Free Could you please do a video on the members of the new Jedi council? It would be really interesting and insane to see. BTW Keep up the good work:)
It would be cool to see a series covering all of the Sith Empire's variants of troops and military personnel during the Great Galactic War/Cold War. Also the prison trooper in this video looks like Mandalore the Preserver lol
Fact Free, I commend your videos and the quality of your content. Please do a video on a planet about its inhabitants and the history of that planet. If you do read my comment, I thank you and hope you will read the future comments I post.

The grey-and-black Tantive IV uniforms were actually Alderaan Security Forces uniform- her diplomatic honor guard, not -technically- Rebel soldiers as they were on an Imperial Senate Consular ship.
To me, it felt like there was some redundancy, especially with the galactic/space marines and the general troopers where you used the same image for a later specific unit (the jungle troopers, pilots, etc) The troopers who rode on the various animals might have been better to group into just one category Again, this is just my opinion
Xavier Ford Yeah, that would be cool. A versus series but instead of pitting two individuals against one another, it's two *organizations* against one another.
Those rebel snipers aren't doing their job right snipers are supposed to be the first soldiers on the battlefield while the rest of the unit are camping behind corners and the snipers quick scope the enemy campers then do a trick shot for final kill cam
Harrass the enemy from a distance? If my sniper is doing anything other than killing the enemy he's not doing his job so I don't understand why you would put it as 'harrass'
Sometimes harassing the enemy is better than killing them. Like in Saving Private Ryan the Nazi sniper shot an American solder but didn't kill him with a second bullet. This forced the other soldiers to take cover and to stay near by, forcing them to try and save their friend. Had he put the second bullet in that soldier and killed him, then the other soldiers would have most likely all fallen back to a new position and gotten out of harms way themselves. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching!
Fact Free That makes sense but you said in a different video that the stormtrooper armor makes it so the person is simply knocked out so if that's the case, wouldn't the other stormtroopers just be like 'meh, Gary will wake up in an hour no biggie' and stay behind cover?
John Campbell Knocked out but injured to where they would need medical attention. Also sniper bolts tend to be far more impactful than bolts from blaster pistols or rifles, so they have a better chance of killing a stormtrooper or injuring them enough to where they would need immediate medical attention.
But weren't stormtroopers trained to leave their fallen squad mates even if they were injured? I don't know for sure but the training of the stormtroopers made them extremely loyal to higher command thus ignoring their injured squad mates to continue their primary objective would make more sense because it was a bigger priority.
+Galen Marek I sometimes do. Just the problem with using movie clips is that they increase the chances of copyright strikes, so I avoid using them too much. But I can start using more clips from the TV shows, since they are less likely to get copyright strikes.

never liked how people class rebel troopers, they really have no training as an army, just a ragtag group of people who want to see the empire fall, each having different methods, as such, you usually see squads be primarily one species (squads of bothans with some humans, squads solely made up of wookies, etc.) and at 1:00 you forgot to mention that the rebels can actually hit their target

Great video, but you need to update at some point to include the Rebel Military Police seen in "Rogue One". Wearing the uniform of the Rebel Fleet Trooper, they had brassards on their right arm with writing, plus writing on their helmets that indicated their position. In the theatrical release you see one MP escorting Jyn to the Rebel Command, while more MPs are seen in the first teaser trailer escorting Jyn.
You forgot Rebel Clone Katarn Troopers. They were veteran Clone Troopers under the command of Kyle Katarn that fought back the Empire and joined the Rebellion.
"Sith hunters" its hard to know what they're job is.
I think they hunt Jedi. :P
Maybe they make the Tea while the REAL soldiers fight.
+matt Polley their job is to pretend they can fight siths and eventually get cut down
+matt Polley eh if galaxys was still up it the creators would have probably added an update that explained what they did and what their training was like and what kind of armor do they wear.
All of you can fuck off.
This rag tag, low budget underdog rebellion seems to be pretty well off. I mean they had the time and security to have a god damn honor guard!

Rogue One shows the members of that ship present in the Rebel Invasion of Scarif, so they were likely just Rebel Marines.
also in SWBF2 you can recruit marines for your space troops.
Xal'anth'orn Well Alderaan is a rebel planet so it would make sense if they were associated with th rebel soldiers.
If that was a consular ship, then where was the ambassador?!
Well the fact that tantive iv was not a consular ship after all, it was literally seen by darth vader detaching from rebel admiral raddus's flagship after scarif before jumping into hyperspace, therefore all personnel on that vessel is a rebel, even if they were wearing alderaan security uniform

I’m sorry I had to.

If it's not canon I don't care
+Brad Gray Then why are you here.
+FunnyBrosInc-Star Wars Battlefront Let it go
It would be a short video...
I love your videos
i wish the Alliance would have been a bit more of "the bad guys" as in not white knights
Same I hope in Rogue One they will be more portrayed as Anti heroes rather than good guys
Bradley Nunn
Maybe a bit more blowing up civilians as well as the good fighting men and women of the Empire.
Created To Comment Agree with you there
Created To Comment the empire was sexist, specieist and racist. so only men of the empire, later on men and xenos from the emp aaaaaand waaaaay laaaaater on men, xenos, and not many women from the empire.
The only good rebel is a dead rebel
4:00 That guy on the fat left looks like he's golding a Barrett M82 Rifle. XD
*far
I hate how some EU stuff came from idiotic video games and dont make any sense whatsoever
Your calling battlefront 2 a idiotic game
Are you calling battlefront bad?
The Jemmie Dodger ..some. not all. please read before commenting
good thing force unleashed isn't canon anymore.
4:00 it seems Barrett 50 cals existed a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away
Got to say not as cool as imperial troops
Not as cool looking anyways.
***** yeah at least they can aim.
No they can't, they get owned nearly every time in the movies and even miss more than imperials.
Gabriel Tejada well imperials miss twice as much so i would say the rebels are better :))))))))))
KingFoofy You need to watch the movies again buddy ;)
I love these video thank you +factfree
You forgot Rebel Clone Katarn Troopers. They were veteran Clone Troopers under the command of Kyle Katarn that fought back the Empire and joined the Rebellion.
