Thanks for this video. Runaway train is one of my all time favourites. It affected me differently troughout the years. Being a kid it was the video that made me really emotional. As I grew up the lyrics ( sadly, I guess) Started to make a lot more sense. As a musician myself,I love Dave's vocal and emotion, and the whole arrangement IS so classic and cool. The fact they did that against the current of grunge is brave, honest and I'm so glad they did.
Me too song and music 🎶 video gets me emotional every time I feel bad for missing kids it's beautiful they made this video dedicated to missing kids they did a good thing I love lead singer emotions u can tell he cares .
Hey, man. Your video essay type of videos that include rock and especially metal are sick as fuck. You totally deserve to blow up, and I hope you get that success you deserve.
the bass break (10:09 in this video) is something I want to know more about. Who thought of it, and did they hang out in punk bars in 1981 in downtown Minneapolis?
Well we deaf in 91 playing "the horse" tour... So we started writing acoustic songs.. our label dropped us and we owed 400k ... So we needed a hit. We started writing GDU... Things went well at the big red machine.. except that our drummer was forced out of the band and we would soon implode under the pressure. Great songs tho
Dave Pirner kind of reminds me of being like Robby Krieger except the opposite where Robby before The Doors was in a band with Doors drummer John Densmore he had just gone from acoustic to electric guitar.
9:30 that's not true either listen to all those early radio shows.. ALL OF THEM ARE ACOUSTIC.. they love acoustic guitars!!! I think every album after the first one has acoustic guitars. They do that umm dead roses or what is it.. the stones song acoustic in like 85 (can't remember which radio show it was now) .. send me dead flowers in the morning.. whatever you know what I mean
a lot of like indie rock hipsters i know always dismissed soul asylum as like a second rate Replacements, or something. which i always thought was silly since they both came up at the same time.

At least two of the missing teens in the video were victims of an Australian serial killer.

I love ur essays. If u don't mind me asking, when can we expect to see a review of Black Sabbath's Born Again?
Probably a few more weeks. I got caught up with the new episode of James and friends, and the upcoming qna.
